There was a standard menu given to us along with specials for the evening. Also notes were wine specials and a decent wine list. Two in our party enjoyed a Pinot Grigio and a Sauvignon Blanc and exclaimed good quality. For starters we got fresh bread that was accompanied by seasoned olive oil and an herbed butter. We also had the flash fried artichokes; recommended these 100%. There were little strips of red bell peppers mixed in and note, when I say "flash fried" I'm talking a lite dusting of a flour batter and super lite fry...no grease. Dinner entrees consisted of the birthday boy ordering the filet, au gratin potato and asparagus. Three of us had the flounder that had tomato confit, artichoke, hearts palm, olives and mandarin oranges. The filet was cooked perfect and extremely tender with the sides paired perfectly. The flounder was exceptional and no plate was left with a morsel to be seen! The dessert menu was hard to choose from but we settled on brownie with sauce and vanilla ice cream and the raspberry cheesecake. Add in a couple of after dinner coffees/espresso the meal was perfect. This restaurant is small but not elbow small. A few tables outside for nice weather occasions and a small bar to seat 3-4 people. Aiden was our server and he did an awesome job; efficient, attentive without being overly hovering with a great sense of humor. We will be back!

My go-to every time is the chicken piccata: perfectly cooked, bright, and full of flavor. It never disappoints. Don't sleep on their pizza either. It's seriously good and easily holds its own next to the classic Italian dishes. Add in a beautiful atmosphere that feels both inviting and polished, and you've got a spot that works for date night, family dinners, or just treating yourself. Consistently solid food, great vibes, and absolutely worth the visit.

I'm a longtime customer of Z Bardhi's in Tallahassee -- I've dined there 6-7 times, and I once hosted a group of 10 there. I genuinely believe in supporting local restaurants, especially after sticking with them through the challenges of the last several years. That's why this experience hurts to write about. I placed a to-go order recently, and what I received was shockingly poor. Had I been eating in the restaurant, I would have sent it back immediately. The Caprese Salad ($16) was listed as sliced tomatoes topped with buffalo mozzarella, basil, and balsamic vinaigrette over mixed greens. Instead, I received four thin tomato slices, four flat, uninspiring pieces of supermarket-style mozzarella totaling less than two inches, and one singular small piece of wilted lettuce. That's it. For sixteen dollars. The Caesar salad was equally minuscule and underwhelming. The large pizza with sausage, mushrooms, and green peppers (with the $2 per topping upcharge) was also disappointing -- most of the pie had almost no green peppers, and the sausage and mushrooms were scattered so sparsely that entire sections were bare. I understand restaurants can have off nights, but this wasn't an off night. This was a clear lack of care and portion control coming out of the kitchen. When loyal customers are consistently shorted on ingredients and charged premium prices for what feels like bare-minimum effort, it doesn't just disappoint -- it breaks trust. Z Bardhi's, I hope management sees this and takes it seriously. I want to keep supporting you, but experiences like this make it very difficult. If this level of effort continues, many of us who have been regulars will have no choice but to take our business elsewhere. We have options, and loyalty has to go both ways. Photos attached for reference.

They are in a brand new building on the way into Woodville. There is a good bit of parking. The dining area is one big space with tables and booths. There's a little bit of bar seating facing the wood fired oven. There's table service and pleasant folks to wait on you. I ordered the Spaghetti Bolognese and the wife got the Lunch Special pizza. The Bolognese didn't have enough meat to suit me and it hadn't been cooked long enough to develop that rich depth of flavor that my all time favorite Bolognese at Mimmo's in Destin has. More like a marinara sauce than a rich and thick bolognese. The pizza, on the other hand, was stellar. Tasty thin and crispy crust with a nice sauce, delicious cupped pepperoni and plenty of cheese where extra cheese might be overkill. Would have loved more fennel bite in the sliced Italian sausage but the overall taste of the pizza was so good I wouldn't quibble. We have a local pizza favorite close to home but I would drive right by them, all the way through town and down to Woodville for this pizza. It tasted that good.

My friend and I met at the restaurant and were shown to a table. We wanted something a little quieter so we were moved. A large party of 10 came and sat adjacent to us, so, we asked to move once more. Once settled, we were served bread and water, then ordered a cocktail. The bread was nice and crusty. The cocktails were as ordered. We ordered an appetizer to share - squid ink pasta with seafood and fra diablo sauce. Quite tasty! For entrees, the fish of the day was red snapper piccata. Q We both ordered the snapper with sides of carrots with a brown sugar pecan glaze and Brussels sprouts with a balsamic drizzle. Our entrees arrived. Traditional Piccata is floured then sautéed in butter/olive oil, drippings are made into a lemon butter sauce with capers and parsley. What was served was a breaded the fried piece of snapper with what looked like a thin lemon parsley white sauce to pour over it and some fried crispy capers. The fish was nice white flesh, a thick breading, slightly overcooked. The almost green parsley laden lemon sauce was mediocre. The The The capers would have been better warmed in the skillet and not fried. Side dishes - the carrots were a platter of multi colored sautéed or blanched. The brown sugar glaze was scant and there were a Few nuggets of glazed pecans. Not as described by our server. The sprouts were crispy and had a tasty balsamic glaze. I felt the dish was mediocre and wished I'd ordered a steak. For dessert, I ordered the spumoni ice cream. Nothing like traditional layered spumoni I've had in the past. This seemed to be chocolate ice cream with some nuts and chocolate bits in it. Cherries non existent. I never mind spending money if the food quality is commensurate to the price. Our bill came to $200 + $40 tip. Far below my expectations.

Otherwise she comes across as a spoiled rotten. entitled loud-mouth Karen who should think before writing. From the web: For a pleasantly charred, blistered crust on Neapolitan pizza, Italians often embrace the look, calling the spots " leoparding" or referring to the cornicione (crust edge) being perfectly baked, but for genuinely burnt parts, they might use "bruciato" (burned/scorched) or simply describe it as "bruciacchiato" (a little burnt) or "carbonizzato" (carbonized), though "bruciato" is common for those desirable dark spots... We were so fortunate to snag a table before Riccardo's completely filled up. Moments after we were seated, I overheard the staff indicate that they were already a full house. Granted this is Valentine's Day weekend, but I suspect that this is a regular Friday night at Riccardo's. Located in Betton Place, right in the heart of Tallahassee's Midtown, Riccardo's is a classic Italian family kind of joint. We walked in hungry and waddled out stuffed. We started our order with their famous "Secret Bread" and were also treated to their house bread with whipped garlic butter. No vampires will be of concern this evening. Hubby ordered a thin crust 14 in pizza with pepperoni and sausage. As good as their pizza is, it's always prudent to order extra for weekend leftovers. I'm not sure what ruler they use in their kitchen, but that was the biggest 14 in pie I've ever seen. Perfectly crispy edges complemented the sweet red sauce, cheese and toppings. We also ordered their secret bread with cheese. It was ooey gooey in the best way, and paired with their sauce, it was a bite of heaven. I ordered their classic Chicken Parm with a spaghetti side. I had to cry uncle before I finished the chicken. It was so much food. I watched the tables around us and everyone was equally enthralled with their own food. Every single table was full, as were many stomachs. Tucked away in the corner of Betton Place, Riccardo's is the BEST family Italian restaurant experience we've had in Tallahassee.
