He picked us up a few drinks throughout the evening since we were busy with our guests. He did a great job of judging the dance floor and playing music to keep the party going. She offered advice and recommendations about social media posts (eg. "A good caption for this picture would be..." and "this will be a good picture for you to use during this holiday.") We did not know much about planning the shoot so she really held our hands with respect to what we should wear, how our hair/makeup should be and how we should pose (of course). The thing we liked most about Darlene was how "at ease" she put us during what otherwise could have been very awkward shoots. The poses for professional headshots feel awkward unless a kind, friendly, personable person is walking you through the experience. She opened up our home to her, recommended places for off-site shoot and then came to our place of business with the lighting and equipment she needed to liven up the place. Thank you, Darlene!!

Unlike some photographers, Darlene didn't try to force us into purchasing a massive wedding photo package that would have cost more than the rest of the wedding combined. Even with a small wedding, she went above and beyond to make sure that we had photos that captured the true essence of what the day meant for us.
