I stopped at the branch to use the drive through ATM for a small withdrawal but kept getting a declined message. Finally I parked and went inside. I mentioned the issue to 2 employees who seemed puzzled by the problem and one said they could check my account. I made the cash withdrawal with no problem. At no point did anyone say "I'm sorry that the ATM didn't work." Or, "I'm sorry for the inconvenience." It wasn't a big deal really, since I wasn't in a rush, but isn't it still customary to at least apologize for the equipment not working. Instead, I got the vague impression that the problem may have been my account, which was far from the truth. Just common courtesy. That's all you'd expect.
