First and foremost these Asheville folks are great, friendly people..... unfortunately, the shop…read moredid not do the quality work we were hoping for. My son's scion TC was taken in for repairs after hitting an animal. Non-oem bumper replacement known to have several fitting issues was used and was of course unsatisfactory so they will be redoing the work with an oem bumper. They put newly painted bumper on with prior grill that didn't have damage but had chips in it that would have taken minutes to paint along with everything else as a professional courtesy (which they did with the scion emblem) to match basically a whole new front end. Paint done on the hood shows sandpaper scratches throughout so that also needs to be redone. Overspray has been found on the car as well. Car had to be aligned and upon leaving the shop immediately pulled to the left. It has since been looked at by mechanic and tire shop...alignment is fine, brand new front tires have been swapped to rule out radial pull but the Z height is significantly off so it is likely a suspension issue that was triggered/caused during repairs since issue wasn't there prior. Bumper issues were noticed at pick up and attempted to be fixed while waiting but after getting home, rinsing and wiping the car down to do more thorough inspection further issues were noticed. Shop was immediately notified, OEM bumper was ordered and paid for by insurance but no follow up has happened to schedule re-doing the repairs (yet possible time frames were discussed with shop when issues were reported). Shop offers great text messaging options to communicate about repairs but has not responded there either. I have since made an appointment via the website and am sincerely hoping that everything gets done right, with more care and professionalism this time. Our mechanic recommended this shop after he had a good outcome with them but several others advised us to stay away. Our initial interaction to get an estimate without an actual claim number yet was met with resistance but after getting passed that and feeling like they were going to be the most accommodating and able to do things we wanted, we decided to choose them. I grew up in the auto industry and know things can happen so we are still hopeful and just want things done right and the car to be in the body and mechanical condition it was prior to the accident....as it should be. I will add an additional review after this next round of repairs is complete. Fingers crossed.

I took my vehicle to this shop with minor paint scrape damage. I had estimates from two other…read moreshops at about $525 for the job. This shop wrote me an estimate at $901. See attached. I complained to their equivalent of a "district manager" and after a week and asking for it three times I received a revised estimate -- magically it was $519. Also see attached. So, the first estimate included $382 in screw-the-customer charges or bad-estimating-charges. Either way, if I wasn't paying attention or hadn't gotten more than one quote I would've paid $382 more than the job was worth. One obvious scam charge was 2.0 labor hours to plug in a little computer to the car's diagnostic port to read any trouble codes stored there -- 1.0 hours before they work on the car and another 1.0 hours after they work on the car -- not to fix anything -- just to read any codes. Folks it takes about 20 seconds to read the codes on a car. 20 seconds x 2 versus 1 labor hour x 2 = $196 to read codes! $196 TO READ THE CODES! There's a reason the auto body business has such a bad reputation. I'm taking a hard pass on this outfit, and you can decide for yourself.
