We lucked out with a perfect campsite which closed into what looked like a private enclosure. This gave us VIP level experience where we parked our cars to "close" our enclosure and we pretty much just enjoyed inside for the most part. The only downside was a tonne of bugs in August. Now I know the staff itself couldn't do much but the bugs were incessant. We had campfire going on for the most part which helped a lot but didn't quite think August would look as rough.

They clean bathroom and showers thoroughly. The drier in the bathrooms not a great drier and no paper towels. There is only one dump station so on a holiday be prepared to wait literally 1-2 hours.East loop older- west loop newer for electrical. West loop is better for electrical.

We grabbed some carry out from Trizest and picked this park since it's close by and there are several picnic tables, even a sheltered area and a nice walking path up and around the hill. The top of the hill is a great spot to sit and watch the sunset. The walking path around the park is pretty decent as far as length goes. There's also a little playground for kids, a baseball diamond and other recreational areas of the park. There are several different areas to park as well. During the pandemic it's a great spot to get some carry out and have an ad hoc picnic with your family and friends. There's some volleyball games going on tonight as well. It's great to have a little picnic at one of the tables and then go for a walk after dinner. We then stick around to watch the sunset up on the hill.

There is so much construction that has closed so many streets, so many lost businesses, and the overpriced restaurants that do not offer enough value, I have been coming a bit less than usual. I know it is a tough time for businesses and restaurants, but so many of my favorites have closed. Plus, a lot of times, walking around the city, there needs to be a bit more tree cover and shade, it gets hot getting around on foot. I will still continue to be your tourist and customer, and I still do enjoy a day over here.

There is interpretive nature center building, but every time we have visited this building has been closed. If you are looking for some nice relaxing trails, this is the place for you! Just watch out for goose droppings - there are usually several ducks and geese around the ponds!

Gorgeous park along the Huron river between Ann Arbor and Dexter. My husband and I brought our pups here for a little outdoor time during social distancing and despite it being a gorgeous Saturday early-evening we didn't run into any one else on any of the trails we explored. So it's a really great spot to enjoy some outdoor adventures without worrying about getting too close to other people. Beautifully maintained, tons of parking and pup friendly! Just remember bug spray if you get into the woods/near the river. I forgot and got eaten up quite a bit!

It was an awesome sunny afternoon in early May with temps approaching 60 degrees...the perfect time…read morefor a bike ride. Michigan's Washtenaw County has created a 35-mile "Border-to-Border" paved bicycle trail that winds from Dexter through Tree Town (Ann Arbor) and on to Yipsilanti. Much of the trail is off-road and provides plenty of welcomed shade and river views on a hot summer day. Today, my wife and I chose to ride 10 miles of the B2B Trail in the Dexter area that winds through the Hudson Mills Metropark. Given the pandemic, we saw plenty of courteous walkers, joggers and bikers sharing the 10-foot wide trail which enabled effective social distancing. The Hudson Mills Metropark section of the trail in Dexter is a true gem that offers fresh air, sunshine and the opportunity to get some welcomed exercise. We look forward to the time when we can once again stop into the Riverview Restaurant after our bike ride and enjoy a breakfast or lunch. Until then, we're staying safe in Dexter. 5 stars!

You have tons of runners also running thru the trails. It has a nice playground also for children to enjoy themselves. I was walking thru the trails also on a beautiful fall afternoon last month with the fall foliage in full effect. It was a beautiful sight with yellow and orange shades along with greenery that was coming toward the end of season. It was a very refreshing walk as I was making my way to a nearby sushi restaurant. The breeze was a little cooler and the temperature was around 60 degrees. A beautiful autumn day.
