Super friendly staff. They didn't have exactly what I wanted, but found me something very similar. Great selection

I used to come here more often. Do not get me wrong, this is still a great city. I love the…read morewalkability of it, the many parks, the great theaters and restaurants, the fun carnivals and art fairs, but I have seen a downside in more recent years. There is so much construction that has closed so many streets, so many lost businesses, and the overpriced restaurants that do not offer enough value, I have been coming a bit less than usual. I know it is a tough time for businesses and restaurants, but so many of my favorites have closed. Plus, a lot of times, walking around the city, there needs to be a bit more tree cover and shade, it gets hot getting around on foot. I will still continue to be your tourist and customer, and I still do enjoy a day over here.

Luckily they offer their first couple of hours free in the structures. There's so many of my favorite places to eat here. I like Market place, adachi, social kitchen, Raw eats, Vinsetta (formerly transplanted from Royal Oak), Churchill's, Mitchell's, streetside, Tallulah and the list goes on and on. There are so many fun shops and stores here too. Papyrus, West Elm, Caruso Caruso, Anthropologie, Harp's lingerie, Paper source, Claymore shop, Lucido jewelers, La Croix, Suhm-thing, etc.

Hudson Mills Metropark - Huron River looks clean even if the news keeps talking about a chemical spill. Maybe it was downstream from here

My husband and I brought our pups here for a little outdoor time during social distancing and despite it being a gorgeous Saturday early-evening we didn't run into any one else on any of the trails we explored. So it's a really great spot to enjoy some outdoor adventures without worrying about getting too close to other people. Beautifully maintained, tons of parking and pup friendly! Just remember bug spray if you get into the woods/near the river. I forgot and got eaten up quite a bit!

Michigan's Washtenaw County has created a 35-mile "Border-to-Border" paved bicycle trail that winds from Dexter through Tree Town (Ann Arbor) and on to Yipsilanti. Much of the trail is off-road and provides plenty of welcomed shade and river views on a hot summer day. Today, my wife and I chose to ride 10 miles of the B2B Trail in the Dexter area that winds through the Hudson Mills Metropark. Given the pandemic, we saw plenty of courteous walkers, joggers and bikers sharing the 10-foot wide trail which enabled effective social distancing. The Hudson Mills Metropark section of the trail in Dexter is a true gem that offers fresh air, sunshine and the opportunity to get some welcomed exercise. We look forward to the time when we can once again stop into the Riverview Restaurant after our bike ride and enjoy a breakfast or lunch. Until then, we're staying safe in Dexter. 5 stars!
