I took my still running 95 glastron with 115 Johnson outboard in for alarm going off and shaking over 20mph (after a new impeller was installed by ProMarine). The boat was there for 2 months. When I called, it was either we are working on it, haven't found the problem or maybe replace engine. After 2 months of waiting and told, they can't find problem. I pick my boat up. The engine was partially dismantled, parts all over wet deck and full of water, battery dead. The owner said, "I didn't know". Hey DAVE, your the owner, you should know. I have used Pro Marine in the past for service, winterizing and wrapping, so when I had an issue this year and needed an estimate for my insurance company, they were my first call. Unfortunately, it will be the last time I call them. After spending fifteen minutes explaining my situation to the pushy, rude female that answered the phone, who I am sure has never serviced a boat in her life, she was quick to tell me that the problem was my fault and that they were 3 weeks out because of Covid-19 and didn't have time. When I asked if that meant they didn't want to do the estimate she replied "did I even say that." I would assume that with the Covid-19 situation, she would want to solicit business not discourage it, I explained that I understand they are busy, I was not looking to have repairs done that day, I was just in need of an estimate to turn in, so I could get the ball rolling. Instead all I got was rudeness from someone who obviously should not have a job dealing with the public in any way, shape or form. They should re-think who they have representing their company on the other end of the phone line. read more
