My child attended US Taekwondo center for three years. However, the rates are horrible and you must sign a contract which includes certain programs, such as a Black Belt program (which is what we signed up for). They fail to mention that the contract rates do not include testing fees or other "supply" fees for boards and specialty classes. They are far more interested in making money than providing outstanding instruction. The first year was great. My child loved it. Then several instructors left and there seemed to be some conflict within the school. They were unable to keep a full staff and relied heavily on the new black belts to volunteer to instruct classes. My child started having medical issues which caused them to miss class. Upon joining the center, the Grandmaster was informed of our child's medical history, which was extensive. They were fully aware that we may miss class. I constantly had to remind the instructors of my child's limitations. I often felt that their lack of concern was insulting. I was told that we were missing too many classes and we must attend more. I always kept the instructors informed about my child's medical problems, but they never seemed to take me seriously. This was also around the time my contract was due for renewal. It took my child over a year to make it to red high belt (without missing a lot of classes) and they wanted to push black belt testing in 5 months due to my contract expiring. Later that month, we were informed that my child had to have surgery. I went into the center to drop off a letter from my child's doctor explaining the situation and to speak to the Grandmaster. I was told by the other instructors that they were not aware of my child's medical history and that it was up to the Grandmaster to determine whether my child would be "accepted back into the school". If this is a family run business, I would expect a little more compassion for a dedicated student who was in need of support. Their incredible lack of empathy was the straw that broke the camels back. Not only did we walk away from the school (with a very disappointed child) we did not renew our contract. My child never received their black belt as promised and all the hard work they put into TKD was for nothing. The rates are horrible. The lack of professionalism is mind blowing. If I pay the kind of money expected for superior instruction from a Olympic winning coach, I would expect more empathy and determination to be more family oriented. Research the BBB and local court records before you sign a contract with this company. I wish someone would have told me prior to all the time and money spent just to break my child's heart.

The Grandmaster is one of the kindest women I have ever met. When our family was going through a difficult time she helped us in many ways. Her kindness is only surpassed by her skill and wisdom. The school is well staffed and often my daughter was able to receive one on one training or shared an instructor with only one or two other students. The school has a well developed curriculum which makes it easy to know where we are and what to expect. It even involves vocabulary and character skills. The facility is well kept and cleaned daily. From a parent perspective, I really enjoyed the school. Both my daughter and me felt like we were apart of a family. We made friends that we would hang out with outside of the school. My only regret is that I did not take classes with my daughter because that would have been great as a bonding activity and good for me. This school is well worth the investment. I wish I could give the school another five stars.

Several months ago, I had advised Master Leitski that per instructions from my doctor, I can not proceed with my journey to my second degree. Confidence Martial Arts is a great Taekwondo training center. I have been to a couple of schools…read morenow over the years and came back after several injuries and several years later to train again. I choose this school because of the ATA affiliation and because of great word of mouth about the instructors who teach there. I noticed this is not the same programs as ATA did way back then, but now they are geared for assisting with mental and physical wellbeing. I enjoy the warrior side of training combat sparring and learning krav maga! It is like a breath of fresh air to see a Sport/Martial Art that puts a special focus on life skills, such as; self-esteem, respect, honesty, communication, discipline. This helps teachers, as well as parents, help raise children to be healthy functioning adults... It is also a great self awareness and esteem for those adults, who need the reassurance through their effort on what they can accomplish!! They have an awesome program for children, Tiny Tigers program, my son, who has ADHD, was in this program it did him wonders for listening and ability to focus... It helped with his self confidence as he was different in school and was in different classes than mainstream and kids picked on him a lot.. he had a place to go where he felt he was good enough. I suppose I should post so you all can come and see for yourself and not spoil the fun... Ok, 1 more thing, the taekwondo kids here are awesome kids, because all the kids in their classes, like my son was, are treated just like everyone else.. the kids are having fun, exercising and learning to be great people.
