Chimney was cleaned, but future appointments missed, and promises to call about other issues never made. Felt over sold on fireplace needs, but doesn't matter because he never followed up, so that's good. Just glad Big Sky Chimney is another choice. We will stay with them. read more

This guy is a total crook! Do NOT do business with him. He was called to come clean the chimney. By the time he left, we had a huge bill for bogus charges such as 'hazardous waste removal' that he couldn't explain & he had condemned our chimney. Not only that I had a crazy message (as I wasn't home when he completed the cleaning) on my voicemail ranting about how unsafe the chimney was and a whole manner of uninformed, inaccurate nonsense. In a literal panic that I could have burned down my home, I immediately called for a second opinion. I spoke to two other chimney sweeps in town and BOTH told met they get daily calls from people freaked out about this guy and his fear mongering. We had a professional come out the very next day and confirm that our chimney was in fact just fine, and NOT in any way a fire hazard. He also said that Andy cleans the stoves from the bottom up, which is extremely hard on stoves and an inaccurate way to clean them for many reasons, including the fact that our flue was broken during his cleaning. Why on earth Andy is making these bogus claims to half the Gallatin Valley is beyond me, but I hope this review can save someone the stress we went through. If I could give less than one star for Pro-Vac I certainly would! read more

Andy is really great. He does a complete thorough job and understands providing his customers with value and safety. He takes the time to assess your stove or fireplace and will make repairs as he goes, instead of just simply cleaning the chimney. He has your best interest at heart and does a fabulous job. I scheduled an appointment online as they suggested. This appointment was confirmed the day before by another email from them. I took a 1/2 day off work and they did not show up. I called them several times that day, left several messages on their voice mail, and emailed them several times after this day. Never received any sort of explanation nor any follow up by them. I would definitely not recommend any company that does not show up or return phone calls. Their website states they will charge you if you miss their appointment. Pro-Vac Chimney Sweep is AMAZING!!! You definitely want to call these professionals to clean your chimney! They will teach you things about your system that you had no idea about! I had a Carbon Monoxide detector go off last winter and it made me afraid to even use my wood stove again. I do not live here year-round so the thought of having the chimney cleaned just didn't enter my mind until the detector went off. I called Pro-Vac and Seth came out this summer and did such a thorough and professional job! He cleaned it from the bottom-to-the-top, then went on the roof and cleaned it from the top-down. There were numerous issues with creosote and neglect, and he took care of all of them! I am all the way out in Ennis and they will come out to service the smaller towns out here--very much worth the call and cost (under $200). Seth is very concientious, clean, and didn't leave a mess or dust or ash anywhere. He spread canvas tarps over his entire work area, uses a giant vac with HEPA filter, washes his hands of soot so he doesn't get fingerprints everywhere... I really appreciate all of that. You will too. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND and endorse them whole-heartedly. read more
