These guys are the best of the best. They have all dedicated their lives to making you more healthy and pain free. When I decided to seek treatment, I had been told by my Orthopedist that I would likely need back surgery because of a bulging disk in my back. I was in a lot of pain. To be pain free I need to lay on my back or my stomach. I opted to look for an alternative. I found ProCare based upon some local recommendations. Brian evaluated me and took the time to listen to my issues and concerns. Brian cleared his schedule to work with me every day that I could come for the coming week. He also taught me what was happening and why I was in pain. Within a week, my pain was significantly reduced. A few months lated I was completely pain free. Since working with Brian, I've done a few 1/2 Ironmans and a couple of marathons. Everyone else in the practice is terrific. Eric is a super guy as is the owner Steve. This is in spite of the fact that he's a Jets Fan. The atmosphere at the facility is so positive that it makes you want to come back and work hard. Over the last several years I've been plagued by joint pain that has sometimes prevented me from living an active life. Kim has worked with me to get me past knee and then neck pain. I've incorporated the exercises I've learned from her into my morning routine for the long term and have kept those discomforts largely at bay without reliance on pain drugs. I heartily recommend Ryan and Procare to anyone! When I was first diagnosed with RA, my doctor recommended PT to improve my ROM and decrease the pain in my muscles and joints. After receiving a glowing recommendation about Procare from a friend, I called to set up my first appt. Being the wimp that I am, I asked for someone who was "gentle." They assigned Ryan to me. Not only was he "gentle," but he was also patient and reassuring, knowledgeable and competent. He put me on an exercise routine that not only helped me reach my goals, but also gave me the confidence and hope I needed as I continued exercises at home. I had been in an accident that left me with a few bulging discs in my neck, and I was in a good bit of discomfort. My muscles were all locked up, and my range of motion was less than ideal. I was very worried my cycling days were over, and that most of the activities I enjoyed would all be in the past. My Ortho told me to see Steve Parente at Procare. I showed up to my first appointment, and was met by a guy (Steve) who obviously knew his stuff. He had obviously been at this game for some time. looked at my MRI report, and wasn't intimidated in the slightest. He explained what we would need to do to get me better and his confidence made me realize he could actually help me. When he went to work on my neck, it was clear to me that this guy had what it took to make me better if anyone did. He told me he would have to align everything, and that once my vertebrae were all stacked neatly, that he would start to focus on strengthening the surrounding muscles. It took a few weeks to get everything lined up well enough to start strengthening, as my neck was all in knots. After a week my muscles were starting to release. After a month of PT with these guys, I felt worlds better. At 2 months, I felt as if I'd been completely transformed into a different person. I went from having shoulder and neck pain, not to mention eye pain and headaches, to literally feeling nothing out of the ordinary on most days. I was given exercises to do at home, and Steve told me that these were very important to keep everything in place. I did them, and he was right. Not only is Steve amazing, but the whole team is great....That being both Jared's, both Steve's, and everyone in between. Brian Lehrer is another top notch Physical Therapist at Procare, who had treated me years ago at another outfit for lower back issues from being hit by a car while on a bike...again great results. I asked both Steve and Brian if there was any reason I would not be able to continue with cycling after this neck injury, and they both laughed, as if it was ridiculous of me to think I would not be able to do absolutely everything I wanted.....Well I am now back on the bike, and feel great as long as I do my stretches fairly regularly. I ride with little discomfort, something I did not think was possible. I owe my sense of health and well being to Steve Parente, and everyone at Procare, and truly consider them all friends for life. These guys are great! I came here after a less-than-great experience at another PT facility. I fractured by left leg and ankle. I worked with Eric Beck. He is great - answered all my questions intelligently, worked me up effectively. I also love their Alter-G Zero Gravity treadmill which allows me to walk with 25% to 50% of my body weight on my legs - it's a fabulous piece of equipment and this facility is a great find. read more

My wife went here for her golfers elbow pain. She noted that the staff was extremely friendly and a pleasure to work with. They were able to alleviate her pain quickly and give her exercises to keep the problem from re-occurring . She only had to go a few times before they indicated the therapy was no longer needed. sadly, not the Procare experience from 10 years ago. Back then, they had techs that seemed like they were in training to become therapists and showed great interest in the field. Now, they pretty much just say, "start with the ball", or "do the leg stretch", and walk away. They don't watch your form, or even tell you how many reps to do. Truth is, I can do that at home with $20 worth of equipment from Amazon while watching Youtube self-help videos. Even worse is that they are becoming less attentive. My last experience was such that I had finished my exercises, and waited 32 minutes before one of the PTs could do my assessment and dismissal. That is a loooooong time to be sitting on a bench. In the end, I just chose to leave. My orthopedist did not recommend Procare either, but I just went there out of loyalty. They said to go to an office that was affiliated with a hospital system and I see why now. read more

My back was injured at the gym. I knew that this injury was not something a Chiropractor could fix so I went to Pro Care . I found Pro Care and I have to say this is by far one of the best Rehabs around. I met with the Therapist Brian Leher and he knew immediately what was wrong. I can't say enough about Brian and this entire establishment. From the Receptionist down to all the workers. These people were a pleasure to see for the two months I had to go. I have recommended numerous people there and now they also have only great things to say. If your injured and need therapy look no further this place is the real deal!!! read more

I have only had 2 appointments with procare and can definately say what a bad choice I made by going there...i scheduled the appts to meet with brian lehrer and still have yet to see him...first appt met with some woman who never even told me her name and the second appt what a joke...I walked in receptionist gave me a card and said go right in, i was a little confused because I had no idea who brian was and no one explained what the heck I was supposed to be doing. I asked receptionist what am I was suppose to do and she point me to a little podium by the tables. I went over and gave young kid my card and he said pick a table and lay down. OK??? which I did do, got heat for 15 mins then was told to go to treadmill by some other guy again no name given after 10 mins on treadmill got off and waited for someone to tell me what was next, after 5 mins of no one acknowledging me I went over and said what am I doing now, then once again young kid says come this way grabs a ball and says do this...still had no idea where Brian Lehrer was and never did this ball exercise before so why the heck was some random kid telling me to do this. I did this ball exercise for another 5 mins and only god knows if I was doing it right since the young kid that gave me the ball didn't explain how to do the exercise I could have been doing more damage then good. when I stopped this non sense with the ball I went over and asked a lady that was staring aimlessly in space what I am suppose to do now, she said you don't know what your exercise treatments are? I said what??? how am I suppose to know what my exercise treatment are if no one is showing me, thats why I'm here for your Physical Therapist to tell me. She said hold on I'll find out well that killed another 5 mins with no outcome... so then I did a couple of stretches that I learned at a different PT over 10 years ago, then I decided that I had enough and left this crazy place. Thanks for nothing PROCARE and who ever the heck Brian Lehrer is, I guess I will never know. read more
