My SUV got damaged by the automatic garage door, the right front was slightly dented and paint was chipped off a little along with the scratch marks. The headlight on that side was also deeply scratched. I did some research and went through a lot of online reviews, I even called 6-7 body shops to compare their working process, price and the length time for repairing, CP auto body came out as the pick of the lot. My contact person was Victoria, who is very friendly, professional and understanding. She gave me a detailed quote and explained to me the charge item by item; she also patiently explained how the work would be done on my vehicle. She somehow made this rather frustrating situation become a lot easier and bearable. The customer service didn't just stop here, on the drop off day, she asked one of their technicians to give us a ride to the subway station, and again on the scheduled pickup day, she offered to pick us up from the station. I really appreciated the nice gesture; it was very considerate and attentive. The work took about 2 days, the results are impressive, the dent was pulled up, the whole hood repainted, matching the original color and the headlight was wet-sanded to the point the scratches were barely visible. I attached the before and after comparison pictures which I believe worth thousand words. C P Auto Body comes to the rescue again! During the Ice Storm of 2013, some erratic soccer mom came within inches of a head-on collision as she was driving on the wrong side of the street. Luckily I swerved just in time; however, my side mirror was hit full on. Being during the Christmas Season, I needed the car 24/7 so the mirror had to be fixed. My car had a few scratches so I decided to get a full makeover. I got a few estimates from shops around my home, but decided to go with C P because of their solid track record. Paolo's estimate was significantly less than the other curb side shops that I went to. He also took the time to walk me through what he and his team were going to do with the car. During the walk through, he even pointed out a dent that I had not noticed before. The newly renovated customer waiting area is very welcoming with comfortable sofas, an espresso machine, a television screen, and WiFi. Paolo and his staff are very congenial as well. I just picked up my car today and it looks brand new ! Customer satisfaction is Paolo's number one priority; before I left C P, he made sure that I was happy with the final product. They didn't fix the dent properly and didn't even touch one area that is still sticking out in the bumper. They didn't buff my headlights well as well, I thought they would come out better but on top of that, They took my car for a joy ride burnt my oil and my engine is making ticking noises now. I will sue them if they ruined my engine. The owner is very unprofessional and very rude. Unfortunately, I think that the 5 star rating is way off the mark. A family member brought in a car to be repainted in the spring of 2016. Over the course of the spring and summer CP Auto has again and again missed its delivery date. It is now end of August, and his car is still sitting in their shop, partly painted. Throughout this process, he has been very patient and accommodating: at one point CP promised the car on a Friday, and he replied that he would be out of town -- "take the weekend, but just *promise me* it will be ready by Monday." The person at CP Auto refused to make that promise. We had to laugh at the sheer audacity: What more could CP do to prove that they are not serious about honouring professional commitments? At this point, CP Auto is not even replying to his emails requesting info on when the job will be complete, and the final price. So months into his dealings with CP Auto, he remains in complete limbo: he doesn't have his car, he can't retrieve his car from them and take it elsewhere, and they aren't even communicating with him (except very occasionally to make promises which they transparently do not intend to honour). This is as bad as gets people. You might wonder why CP has such a high rating here on Yelp despite this extreme unprofessionalism. I can tell you that my family member's negative but factual and even-handed Yelp review was quickly and inexplicably removed. read more

Yes - a legit 5 star place. I scraped our large van on one of the columns in the narrow underground parking lot of my recent workplace. Had no idea body work could be SO expensive. Estimated around $1000 to fix all my scratches, plus one minor dent (result of a freak accident involving a drunk person in a wheelchair). The place my Honda car dealership recommended, quoted me around $3000. I came to Yelp for something better, and found CP Auto. Family-run, I believe, and their hours can extend beyond what is posted, depending on the situation. Closest TTC station is: Dundas West subway, btw. CP Auto quoted me around $1500, which included taxes. I've never had to fix scratches before, and I've never taken a course in mechanics. I didn't understand what all the terms were on the estimate sheet. I did compare what the two companies offered, and decided that CP Auto was the right fit for me. I just wanted the marks and developing rust to be taken care of, by professionals. I did not need bells and whistles, or any sort of upgrading. I saw that others on Yelp had high-fived this place. The one who posted pics, really gave me a good feeling about this place. I went to pick up our car today, and am quite satisfied. The scratches and marks seem gone. I will have to return for the final polish and cleaning to take place, but overall am so happy to have done business with this place. read more

Got my new X4 last November and hit the wall in my parking within two months. I was so frustrated and wasn't sure where to go to get it fixed. I searched in Yelp and CP auto body came up very well recommended. It's not far from where I live so it became my first choice for a quote. But Yelp states they only open Monday to Friday till 6pm (which turns out to be wrong, they DO open on Saturdays till 2pm!). I work during weekdays and had difficulties to get there before they close. So I waited weeks before taking it there. During which time I passed another bodyshop in the area that opened on Saturday and I stopped by and got a quote. It was so expensive and I thought about just leave it as is. Two weeks ago, I finally got a chance to go to CP for a quote. My first impression is their office is so clean and smells fresh, unlike any other auto shops I've been to. Paulo got a sponge and wiped the damaged area and then led me to his desk to prepare a quote. He's very funny and talkative. The quote he gave me was significantly less than my other quote. And I sent the quote to my friend that deals exotic cars, he said the price looks pretty good and if they were painting two panels which I had no idea what it means. So I dropped the car off with Paulo the following week. Not only their price was unbeatable, the service was great too. I got dropped off at the subway station after leaving my car and Paulo picked me up at the subway again when my car was ready. He even reminded me to take a look at the car before paying. I'm actually quite bummed to have to be writing this, as the folks at CP Auto seem very nice, and I selected them to work on my car based on all the positive feedback here, but my experience with their ability to manage expectations and deliver what they promise on-time has been just terrible. I'll summarize by saying that they promised to have work done on my car by the end of April, 2016, and it's now August and after repeated (i.e. 6-7) missed delivery dates I'm still without my car. I've restricted my remarks to strictly the facts of the matter, so judge for yourself whether I'm being reasonable in my review. The below is from my complaint to the Better Business Bureau. In Nov. of 2015 I received a quote from CP Auto to do a repaint of my 1971 MGB (i.e. all necessary removal of parts and prep for painting, painting, and re-assembly). The owner of CP Auto quoted me $3200-$3800 and a timeframe of between four and six weeks to complete the job. I dropped the vehicle off on March 1, 2016. In early April I called to check on the progress of the vehicle and was told I needed to let them know which color I wanted it painted. I was told I could expect my car to be done before May 20. Earlier the week of May 16th, I called CP Auto to check on progress and get a final quote and delivery date. After several unreturned calls seeking this information, I went into CP Auto, and found that no work had been done on the car at all. An employee at CP Auto let me know that the owner was not available to talk to me, but that I could expect to pick up the vehicle in three weeks' time. After repeated calls to CP Auto, I finally got the owner on the line and let him know how frustrated I was with this lack of progress and lack of communication. I told him that if he was unable to provide me with a schedule of activities and milestones that I should be able to observe over the next three weeks, that I would prefer he put the vehicle back as he received it and I would seek to have the work done elsewhere. At this time I received assurances from the owner that the work would be done in the timeframe, that I could expect to see the car primered the following week and that actual painting would be done in two weeks' time. On May 17th I sent an email to the owner confirming my understanding of these timeframes and milestones and asking for him to confirm the final price. I did not receive a reply to this email. The agreed upon three weeks came and went, and other commitments kept me from following up on the progress on the car. In late June I went into CP Auto and found that the car had indeed gotten a coat of primer, but still had not been painted Regardless, as I was happy to see any progress at all, I let the matter slide and took the CP Auto employee's assurance that the work would be done in two weeks time. About two weeks after that, I returned to CP Auto to find that the car had been painted. At that time I asked the employee showing me the car when I could expect to have it put back together and done, and was told "two weeks". Later the day of my visit I received an email from the owner with photos of the car attached letting me know it was "almost ready!" When I replied asking for cost and a specific date it would be ready, I received no reply. The date of this email was Aug. 5, 2016, or approximately 3-3.5 months past the initial promised date of delivery. Visiting CP Auto on Aug. 8th I was told by the owner the car would be ready for that Friday. I let him know that I didn't need it for Friday, but could he please just promise to have it ready for the following Monday. I was astonished at the time to hear his response of "well, I can't commit to that". So transparently false was his commitment to the Friday Aug 12 delivery date, that when pressed, he was unwilling to commit to getting me the vehicle three days later. On Friday, Aug. 19, 2016 I called CP Auto to check to see when I could expect the car, and speaking to the employee I had been dealing with to-date I was told "We'll definitely have that ready for you in two weeks". Exasperated, I asked "Why would I possibly believe that?". His answer was "I don't know". Asking "would you put up with this sort of thing?" His answer was "No". On Friday Aug. 19th I sent the owner of CP Auto an email setting out my intention to contact the BBB and an attorney, and recount my experiences with CP Auto on consumer ratings sites, if I didn't hear from him ASAP with a commitment to have the vehicle ready on Wed, Aug. 24th and a final price for all work. It is Mon. Aug. 22nd as I write this, and I have not heard back from him. Update: September 22nd, still no car, still no communication from CP Auto read more

I wish there were more than 5 stars for a rating for C P Auto Body. I took my Mazda 3 in for a quote to have some nasty scratches and dents on the back bumpers removed. The quote was more than reasonable. I chose the days I could be without my vehicle. The repairs were done quickly and I was really pleased with the work. BUT even more so that they totally detailed the car better than it has ever been done. So I leave as one happy customer. Then there's a mistake! I got a call from Irene that they had over charged me and wanted to refund $100. That stunned me. I would've been none the wiser. The honest service was above and beyond what I expected. This is a phenomenal place for fixing your vehicle - my experience here was simply amazing! Honest and hardworking team, excellent service, 10 on 10 on repair and not hesitant to throw in a few free fixes! We visited C P Auto Body on November 28, 2015 for a repair on the quarter panel and the bumper. The attendant / mechanic examined the damage within 5 minutes, and explained very clearly step-by-step what he had to do to repair. We had a quote no later than 15 minutes after we arrived! He also stayed behind to answer all our questions and didn't rush us. Prior to C P auto, we visited another Auto body shop (that's BTW fairly reviewed on yelp) in Toronto - and it's unbelievable that C P Auto's quote was 30% of the other shop! This repair was going to be paid out of our pockets, so we were very stressed and since it's our first car the hassle of finding an honest Auto Body shop made it even more stressful. I must point out, that the calm, professional yet friendly demeanor of the attendant truly put us at ease. When we walked out, it was with a smile on our faces and the weight of the repair off our shoulders. We took a day to visit other Auto body shops, and NONE came close to the service nor quote provided by C P Auto Body. On Nov 30, 2015 evening we decided on C P Auto Body and gave in our car for repair. The Car was repaired and ready for pick up on Dec 3, 2015. During the repair (I believe it was on Dec 1), C P Auto Body called to update us on the status of the repair - it was on track and coming along well. I thought this call for status update was a nice touch, and showed how much they care about their customers! When we came to pick up our car - oh man! It was immaculate!! You couldn't tell that the car was in a collision at all! What surprised me even more was there were other cosmetic issues on the car (that I didn't tell him about since I wasn't too concerned about them) that the mechanic fixed for absolute free! And I wouldn't really call them minor fixes. And all he said was, 'all issues fixed! You'll love it!' with pleasant smile. I would highly recommend C P Auto Body! After getting quotes that left me in tears from literally all the Dupont body shops, I had almost given up when I found CP Auto Body. Paulo was so incredibly nice to me when I explained my situation - financially, and the giant dent in my vehicle - and he quoted me hundreds of dollars below what I had been hearing from other shops. I can't say I had such high expectations of what the repair would look like - but its almost too good to be true. Car looks beautiful, like I had never crashed into that pole, and I managed to avoid having to replace the part that was dented. I can't recommend this place more highly. There aren't enough stars to give CP Auto Body a proper rating.Their work is absolutely excellent, but it's the combination of that and their outstanding level of customer service that have made me a patron for life. The front end of my 2006 Audi A4 was damaged in a collision and considered a write-off by the garage recommended to me by my insurance company. They had stated that "structural damage" to the car's frame meant it could no longer be insured. In no position to search for a new vehicle, and sensing something fishy about the value of the original estimate, I emailed CP Auto to see if they would take a look. They called me back right away, and from the moment we started speaking on the phone, I knew I was in good hands. They let me bring the car by after hours so they could look at it first thing in the morning. The estimate provided was more than $2000 less than that of the original auto body shop, and showed no structural damage whatsoever. The original garage just simply didn't want to deal with the task of sourcing parts and wrote the car off out of laziness. CP Auto Body were more than happy to do so, knowing how serious I was about keeping the car on the road. They went to great lengths finding the necessary parts and making sure the work was finished in a timely matter. The best experience I could expect. Somebody hit our car and was paying for the whole thing. They made sure they contact that guy and deal with him for all the payment stuff. I just dropped off the car and picked it up after 2 days. The best thing about C P was not the fact that on top of their clean work they fixed all the scratches and dents on my car for free, but the fact that they gave me a car to take while my car was in their body shop even though I didn't need a car for those days. These guys really are as good as their reviews say they are (and I found them on Yelp--better than Google, which has a lot of fake reviews). I've been there twice and they're by far the best anywhere. They get a lot of business now because of their stirling reputation, so you might have to take a number. The other guys in the area are apparently not very good (the usual BS) so it might be worth your while to wait. C P are perfectionists and fair (and such super nice people!). A careless mistake left me with a significant dent and scratch on the roof of my car. After doing my research with a couple of recommended auto bodies from friends and family and other shops recommended by Yelp (5 in total), I decided to go with C P Auto. As a result, they were well-priced, offered courteous, honest service and did a spotless job, so I was very satisfied! Well-priced: The quotes I received ranged from $1600 - $600. C P Auto was not the cheapest, but I felt confident that they could provide superior service. Paul even guestimated what the others quoted and told me the 'higher ranged' quote was over-priced. Another plus is that they were able to quote me immediately...if you have to wait and/or return back to the shop to get a quote, that already loses my confidence in you. Honest, courteous and professional: No BS...goes a long way especially for females...that was my initial impression. They also lent me a courtesy car for 2 days while mine was in the shop which was super convenient. Job well done: Scratch and dent are gone with no indication of any damages. Plus, they gave my interior a nice clean (not sure if this is a part of their regular services but pleasantly happy anyways!). Overall, I would recommend these guys. This is a really great bodyshop. I had a terrific experience. I had hit a post and dented my left rear quarter panel and scratched part of the bumper on my VW EOS. Paulo and Irene were friendly and efficient. Paulo provided me with two estimates one with the bumper included in the repair and the other without. I took the lesser of the two and he repaired the bumper anyway at no additional cost...amazing! A very clean and orderly place, my car was fixed beautifully in a few days, washed and cleaned inside and out when I arrived. The courtesy ride and espresso was also appreciated. The first time I went to CP Auto was to have the front bumper replaced and they did a fantastic job and was also very reasonably priced. They also did the work very fast and were very reliable. The second time was to change a light bulb and check the TRAC light that was on. They fixed everything in 10 minutes and the best part: NO CHARGES! had them repair my left front fender in an insurance claim. never saw a stitch of paperwork, no one reviewed anything with me, and then when I picked up the car, I drove off with no front indicator on my left side.
