This week I had the chance to stop by Produce Junction after hearing good things about this regional chain from coworkers. They said that it's a great store to get fresh produce at really good prices, and this is exactly what I got. I drove to the Clementon location. The store is larger and had more variety than I originally thought. It reminds me of a farmer's market set-up except that you have to ask for certain bagged veggies and fruits behind the counter. There were tons of beautiful cut flower bouquets up front and some potted plants for sale, as well. Cooking for a vegetarian at home, this is a great resource for me. Fresh produces at discounted price. I did not know about this location until we were out at Premium Outlet and my wife wanted to get some garlics. We used to shop at either Marlton or Moorestown Mall locations. The price of garlic went lately. It was $1 for five bulbs, now it is $1.50. However, it is still cheaper than Costco. read more

Just know what you're in for. This location (and others overall from my experience) gets super crowded. You can get the majority of your produce yourself from the bins & shelves but some of it's behind the counter where the cashiers are and you're NOT ALLOWED. Some of the produce doesn't look so swift and alot of it is in bulk. (I used to shop here for my spoiled guina pigs many years ago and they weren't the pickiest). We cra**ed out on the two items we wanted on this particular visit. I like their flower selection and prices, along w/ their holiday 'palm crosses ($5)' and cemetary items. You can also get shell roasted peanuts (not sure how good they are). I believe it's cash only but I am not positive. To me, this is where you go when you are in a pinch / desperate for flowers or a veggie. read more

Not really my idea of a place to select fresh and unmolested produce. Maybe I was thrown off slightly by the setup. Some items you can choose yourself, others are behind the counter and your cashier grabs it for you. I came in just for a few taco ingredients, iceberg for $1 was cool, but avocados, although also a $1 were not in an area where I could select the perfect ones. It was not convenient for the customers behind me to be subjected to my fondling of several. I gave up. I would possibly go back on a weekday if close. Cheap prices though. read more

The staff is unbelievably RUDE. I came in here today at 1230pm and bought 2 corn stalks, a small $5 hay bale and 5 pumpkins. I took the stuff to my car and returned the cart to the front right next to the woman who I had checked out with. I live within 10 mins of this place... when I got home and started to unpack my car I realized I didn't have the hay bale... got right back pin the car and went back to the check out desk and told the woman what I had done. Right away she starts telling me that she didn't see me come back with the cart and she can't do anything about it and on and on. I said ok and went back into the outdoor area and grabbed another $5 hay bale . in the meantime she was finishing the check out process with another customer when I came back with my hay ale which I put on the floor as I was OPENING MY PURSE TO PAY. The first thing this rude woman says to me in a very loud voice s: "What am I supposed to do give you another hay bale for free just because you left yours here and someone took it". I guess she didn't see me standing there with a $10 bill in my hand ready to pay. She continues to yell at me as I put my $10 bill on the counter in front of her and said. "I don't expect you to do anything but ring me up for this one and SHUT UP".... When I came back to the store I never demanded that she give another item for free. I told her what happened and asked if she saw me bring the cart back and she said no... i didnt appreciate her jumping to conclusions and trying to start a fight with me... for heaven's sake, it was a $5 dollar item!! The cost wasn't the point... the people who work here Are RUDE. I've had a few other encounters at this dump in the last year and have never posted about..... I've had it.... I DON'T even want to give one star but the one star would be for the cashier as she was helpful with suggesting different veggies for cooking. They do have different and more of a selection of produce. That day I was in a rush and it was pouring out side. I purchased alot of items . When I got home I noticed one bag of veggies were a little soft as I was starting to prep them for cleaning. I could smell the stench of one bag. ROTTEN! I get to the next bag its cucumbers ,they are soft, sunken in and Rotten! Out of everything I kept one thing and even that was on the verge of getting soft if not cooked right away. I AM SOO UPSET. It's not even worth me driving it all back since it was a 35 min drive from where I live. read more

I am never wasting my money at a supermarket again! Flowers, fruits, veggies, herbs, nuts, and bagged salad at so much less than anywhere else! The only catch is you can't pick and choose how many pounds of each item you want necessarily, but it is still dirt cheap. Also everything I bought here was fresher and in better condition than at the supermarkets. I don't know how they can be so affordable--or maybe I'm brainwashed from years of being ripped off at other places. If only they had produce junction in north jersey too! read more

I love the deals on the fruit, and the selection changes often. So if you see something you like, get a lot of it. I made the mistake of getting some good peaches. I went back the next day for more and they were out. This place get five stars from me, because you can buy a bag of broccoli florets already chopped. (In case anyone cares, PJ's hours are M-F 8-6. Produce Junction is great! Cheap way to get fruits and veggies. You do not get to pick out your own produce, it is mostly pre bagged. You will get a bad piece of fruit in your bag every once in a while. Very good selection of flowers as well, I always go here right before Valentine's Day. I just wish that they took debit cards. There is an ATM on premises, but it will charge you. read more

My wife's favorite stop on our way to Berlin Farmers Market. We don't always buy produce here, even though the prices and freshness can't be beat. Just be prepared to buy more than you need. Sometimes we just look to see what else they have. Last time here we paid 4 dollars for annual hanging baskets! They were healthy and vibrant. Plus we bought some pepper plants 4 for 3 dollars. She also put a couple pink dahlia plants in the cart when I wasn't looking. I think we spent 12 dollars for a cart full of color that now looks great in the yard. Crazy deals here! read more

Clean and efficient. Priced right and great selection. You must purchase the prescribed amount of product, but at these prices, you can give away the extra. I like that they now have the country of origin on the big board. I have no idea what some countries allow as far as pesticides go, so I stick with US products (they are scary enough). read more

Best place to shop for cheap and GREAT produce. Regional chain that keeps quality and cleanliness in mind. Deals are sporadic and really depend on whats harvested. That's how you know you're getting the good stuff, but the drawback is sometimes certain items are unavailable or not up to snuff. read more

Prices are usually better than super markets but there are several things to watch out for. Examine your items before you pay for them and don't be afraid to ask them to exchange something either because the size they gave you is small or the quality is not good. Second, stand in the back before you order and write down what you want and how much it costs. That's because the workers add up the totals in their heads and are wrong quite often. Because of that, you don't get a receipt so it makes it difficult to figure out if you were charged the correct amount. The other reason for writing down what you want is that when it's crowded you really feel rushed to place your order. Lastly, be careful of the weight of items. We just purchased what was supposed to be 2 lbs of cherries that turned out to be less than 1.5 pounds when we got it home. So bottom line, it's ok if you keep an eye on things. read more

I'm starting to become disappointed with PJ. This is the summer time and prices should have went down for produce. But their prices are still staying up. Use to be they were very cheap but not anymore. They are still cheaper than the supermarkets but PJ is closing that gap up and I expect soon it won't be such a big difference. I don't like stopping at to many different places for my shopping and if I have to go here for produce that is just sub par on prices why would I bother? read more

This Produce Junction was an ok place to shop at but a HORRIBLE place to work at. DO NOT APPLY HERE. i was employed at this particular location for about a month. the management is lazy and unorganized. no one gets work schedules and there is no direct deposit, most likely having to do with the store being cash only. the managers love to lie to your face and admit to playing favorites, specifically to the minority ethnicities in the staff. i left due to them constantly cutting my hours and telling me to "come in tomorrow" for days on end when i would try to come in and do my job because i, like any other adult, have bills to pay. i was the hardest working person in there, studying the prices and greeting every customer with a smile. while i was working hard being a cashier, bagging fruits/veggies in the back, and even collecting shopping carts in 100 degree heat by myself, the rest of the staff (managers included) were too busy crowding around in a circle and eating hot pepper sauce. i left over a week ago but im posting this review now just in case the managers tried to withhold my last paychecks, which i feel like they ended up doing anyway. thats how sneaky they are. the customers were always nice, along with one staff member who was always there for me and helped me out when i needed it. if you want to shop at produce junction then go ahead. i just dont recommend working there. read more

Staff is friendly. Owner is extremely friendly. Produce is always fresh. T he only problem I've ever had is with the herbs- some of them were rotten. But other than that, you won't have a problem w/the other stuff. The downfall to this place is that it is super-packed all the time, and it is small. When you stand in line, they have staff members getting your produce behind the counter, and it is really hard to finagle around. If you spend your time looking at the stuff, they just stare at you to hurry up. I do always feel rushed when I'm at the counter. Hopefully they will change that or something in the future about their system at the front and I'll delete this and change it to 5 stars if they do. Oh, and if you're looking for flowers, this is the place to go. Valentine's Day, etc. THE FLOWERS ARE DIRT CHEAP HERE, YOU CAN'T COMPARE THE PRICES WITH ANYWHERE. I THINK IT WAS LIKE $3 OR 4 FOR A BEAUTIFUL BOUQUET OF ROSES. And I am a girl so of course I don't buy them for myself, but they were so nice that I did this one time lol. read more
