Went to the bay beach and stopped here to pick up lunch . Seems like it would be a great spot to do so since they sell sandwiches, salads, fruits , snacks etc. My issue is that they must know that people are looking to buy things here and go to the beach however when I asked for a fork so I could actually eat the Cole slaw and Mac salad we purchased I was looked at like I was a crazy person. So choice was to let the food I just purchased go bad I'm the car or eat Cole slaw with my fingers. Neither one being a great option. The staff were not pleasant. BYOU. read more

Have been shopping there for about 10 years. My recent experience is that quality of produce is gone. In 2 days the lettuce turned brown, celery hearts were so bitter, and corn was rotted, both had to be trashed. Potatoes had brown spots, when peeled. peaches were so mushy, they were trashed the next day. I feel like they are coasting on what used to be a great place to shop. read more

Stopped here on my way to Cape May Point for a sandwich to eat on the beach. Have been in here before but never had anything from the deli. What a mistake that was -- Ordered a corned beef special on rye. It was absolutely delicious - Ample amounts of corned beef sliced thin just the way I like it. Perfect amount of cole slaw and Russian dressing so that the fresh seedless rye held it together nicely. Counter gal also sliced a Jewish pickle that I picked out of the barrel. A bag of sea salt/pepper dirty chips completed a great lunch -- and the value; all that for 10 bucks. So glad they are open all winter. Great stop so close to the ferry too in order to get some sandwich's to take on board. read more

Called while on our way to order hoagies, deli picked up phone and asked us to please hold, they put the phone down, we could hear what was going on, a lot of laughter and conversation, apparently they forgot we were on hold, 15 minutes later, still on hold, we walked into the store approached the deli stood there for a minute or two, still on the phone, the manager came from behind the counter as she passed us she stated if you're here for hoagies we're out, she proceeded to another customer talking and hugged her. We stopped her on her way back behind the counter and told her we were still on hold she said we'll I've been "very busy". We were on hold and the manager took time to leave the deli to hug a customer while they were "very busy"?! We repeated we were on hold for 15 minutes and she continued with I was "very busy"! As we left saying we would not be back she said fuck you! Obviously she forgot we were on hold which happens the appropriate and respectable thing to do was to admit and apologize! We would have understood and been ok with it. She is not manager material! read more

Prices on deli meats are good. The hoagies are enjoyable but the counter staff is miserable. I will always go to the Produce Place since our only other option is he deli at Acme. read more

Went on Sat. was busy, ask the guy in the deli to cut my cheese thick, first mistake, it was cut thin, next mistake was at the check out, girl never said " thank you, have a good day ", change was dropped in my hand, don't these people ever say " thank you " any more ? read more

Usually very good, my family orders hoagies from here some nights for dinner. But this afternoon we placed an order for 3 hoagies, we waited 35 minutes to pick them up and they still weren't ready when we got there yet the store was empty. The male employee was making them and a female wrapped them. We noticed before we left the labels were wrong (example:ham was supposed to only have sweet peppers and it was written to have both hot and sweet) i kindly returned to the deli to check and make sure the sandwiches were correct before paying 7 dollars for hoagies that werent what we ordered,and i was rudely talked to by the female worker when she turned and yelled "WHAT?" in my mother and I's face. They both claimed the hoagies were fine. When we got home, all of the hoagies were wrong, my fathers had everything but was written as the wrong sandwich, mine had nothing i asked for ,it was missing mayo,oil ,vinegar,sweet peppers and pickles , and it also had tomatos which i clearly specified i didnt want. And my mother's was soaking wet and soggy from how much oil and vinegar was on it. Very disappointing to see a great establishment go down like this. read more
