I keep finding myself back to this park ever since high school. They have plenty of outdoor activities like basketball, sand volleyball, pickleball/tennis, and baseball. This review is for the pool. I grew up going to this pool every summer. I recently went here for the first time as an adult to bring my own child. It looks exactly the same and they have managed to keep it in good condition. It's nothing fancy but it's clean and well kept. I love that they have two kid pools, one with a bunch of fountains and that connects to slides and another that is more basic/quieter. There was plenty of seating and lots of staff/lifeguards around. They do adult swim for the last 10 min of each hour. One less star because it is very expensive for non-residents ($18 per person). My infant was free, thank goodness. I guess if I think about it that is about the cost of a movie ticket. Anyways, I will probably not be going as often as I would like because of the cost. read more

This is a great park for the kids and adults as well. When I have company that has young children I will often bring them here for play. Kids: Multiple play sets for kids aged tots to 12. All play areas have wood chips for their grounds or that bouncy soft tile material. Multiple slides, swing sets for many, climbs, vertical grabs and one sandlot which is completed with some kind of water relay with a fresh water source. It's a cool toy for many to play but the kids can get pretty dirty. Luckily, planning added restrooms that are located just fifty yards away. Water fountains are nearby as well. Parents can watch nearby from the many park benches and picnic benches in these areas. It's an area also designed for families to picnic and convene, there is a very big shelter that can accommodate many. Adults: A few tennis courts, two full size volleyball courts on sand! and basketball areas. The park also has a few very big fields for baseball & softball play. Most of these areas are lighted and the park follows a strict curfew. The park is completed with a swimming pool which is affordable for residents and expensive for Chicagoans. (It is what it is) Cons: During rain season the volleyball areas get flooded and can be an area of great interest for all. Just remember stagnant water for days means lots of bugs and possibility to catch things. Ample parking lines every side of the park except on Lincoln Ave. The park is surrounded by neighborhood and is behind the Lincolnwood Fire and Police departments. I found this park from Yelping and I like it. This park is spacious and has a couple of playgrounds for the kiddies. There's this water table of sorts with sand, that the kids really enjoyed. Plenty of green grass and a modest hill, you can easily spend a nice Saturday afternoon at. The park also has volleyball courts in sand, tennis courts, a swimming pool, and tables to play chess (bring your own chess pieces). read more

THIS PARK IS NOT FOR PUBLIC OR CHICAGOANS, The service is awful, i drove from chicago to this park with my toddler, they did not let me get in because im not a resident of Lincolnwood! So how on earth do they put it like a public park in internet search?! This park's policy is ridiculous, they could have just charged me for the day and let my poor toddler coming all the way from chicago to enjoy his day. City forced adults to pay more for the pool, but the fact is, adults without children have fewer rights in the pool .... At a convenient time for adults at 18: 30 (after work), in the pool going swim lessons to and you are allowed to use only the tenth part of the pool for your workouts. Pool staff very rude and unprofessional More ... note the sign that they do not return your cash if you go to the pool but you can not swim in it, because at this moment there is a meeting of swimmers. They are too lazy to write the "main pool is closed now" at the front desk. They are too lazy to answer your questions and listen to your stupid complaints ... But they are full of labor enthusiasm, if you decided that the pool is open (because nothing and no one warned you at the front desk) and will start to swim. They are happy to tell you rudely to go out of the water. With you will access as if you committed a crime. Pool is excellent, but the policy with respect to customers and workers just awful. This is a very beautiful park that has a very spacious field for soccer, baseball, swimming pool facility, tennis courts, volleyball courts in the sand, and a pavilion for picnics/parties! they have a very good age-oriented playground! I wish the restrooms were better...The best thing about this park is the fact that they have lights for night games for tennis, volleyball and in the grassy area! during the winter they make a skating rink of the volleyball court area! The park is well maintained by park patrol and police station/fire dept is not too far in case of need for help! read more

I love Proesel Park, it's a nice little area with a variety of activities for toddlers to adults. There are play sets, tennis courts, and even a volleyball area...which the kids can and do use as a big sand pit! There are lots of picnic tables and even an area for grilling - although I'm not sure how that works. During the summer, there are concerts and family activities and they pool is open - although it's often closed due to swimming lessons, inclement weather, and there's an enforced break for kids to get out of the pool I don't understand the necessity of this, it's a waste of time and forcing kids in and out of the water is a hassle when they just want to play. read more

Proesel Park in is the best park in Lincolnwood, Skokie and North Side Chicago. All sports are played here and the swimming pool is very accommodating. They also offer swimming instruction. My kids love this park. read more

The pools are nice and full of friends on a hot day, so win-win! The locker rooms are pretty disgusting, particularly in the bathroom section. It always smells awful there. The only other negative is when the camp kids enter the pool. There is little to no supervision by the camp counselors. The kids are wild and basically unsupervised. Not a good combination at a pool. read more

The baseball / softball diamonds are the best on the north side. They have adult softball leagues that run from summer to fall.

This is a nice well-rounded Park. It has two full-court basketball courts. It has two beach volleyball courts great for summertime use. It has a nice park area with plenty of benches for parents to watch their kids. It has a couple of tennis courts. It has a roller hockey court which host a variety of people on Sundays from 9 AM to 11 AM when weather allows for it. It has several baseball diamonds. It hosts the Lincolnwood park district pool. It has several walking paths so you can get your step requirements for the day. It has a picnic housing area that is protected from the outside elements. Sometimes festivals and park district parties are held here for all of the neighborhood to enjoy. There is plenty of parking. And when you were all tuckered out and have build up an appetite, you have Lwoods restaurant located right next to the park. Speaking of which, the Lincolnwood police and fire department are also right in front of the park. read more
