I went to Dr. Liccini for pain in my legs…read more First, I was refused treatment unless I paid $50 in cash since my health insurance was from a private company. When I asked if this could be done via transfer since, I was not carrying that cash at the time, I was told to leave. I left and took money out of the bank with sore legs, could barely walk. Then stood in the waiting room for 40 mins. My major problem is with the diagnosis. I was told to take pain medication and stay off the legs for 4 weeks. There was no further investigation into what could be causing the problem. no ultra sounds, no referral.. which I find extremely careless and irresponsible. Now, 5 months later after seeing another Doctor, I am finally closer to a diagnosis, since being to an orthopedist and radiologist.

This review is as much for myself, just in case I look up "English speaking doctor in Berlin"…read moreagain. The receptionist was unfriendly, bordering on rude. Doctor Liccini didn't bother with an examination and was unable to find my condition (as I described it as well as I could) on the list on her computer, so she just picked something else that she thought was a bit like it (nothing like it at all, in fact). She then offered some ill informed opinions on Scottish independence. Note to self and others - avoid.

He is a very kind and educated person, he…read morewill take the time you need to be listened to (quite rare virtue among doctors) and will advise you competently. He is English mother-tongue but also speaks fluent German. All of this creates a very good vibe, which is quite a difficult thing to get by a doctor in Berlin.
