No, "Good morning" or "Welcome to Stauffers. Please let me know if I can help you find anything in particular." No warm welcome or acknowledgement of any kind was presented to me - the only customer in the entire store at the time. I approached and engaged her before she would speak. I greeted her and asked if she could assist me with checking in on the app. She said, "No, not until you buy something." Woah! Disrespect is a 1000% no-no with me. I let her know that I shop at other Stauffers locations frequently and have never received that response. Unbeknownst to this individual, it was another clerk from a different Stauffers who told me to always check in via the app upon arriving as many people forget to use the check-in app after they complete their shopping. So going off of what I was previously told by another Stauffers clerk at a different location, I told this clerk that I decline to shop in a store that makes me feel unwelcome and unappreciated. She doubled down that this is their policy and I left the store. Her need to exhibit lackluster, dismissive and racist energy toward me lost Stauffers my business. Had I been white, I do not believe this woman would have treated me in such a manner. Had I been white, I would have had an enjoyable interaction with caring staff and would have completed my shopping plans. Thanks to this brief, but awful experience with the clerk at the 1075 Middletown Rd, Hummelstown, PA location, I am taking my presence, my business and my dollars elsewhere. I called several lawn care companies and begged for them to add us to their list of customers. Wohlf was able to add us and they were very sympathetic to the problem (many other companies didn't even call me back). They were always prompt with cutting the lawn and did an impeccable job - every single time. They did a great job on the cutting, trimming and clean up. The owner always went above and beyond to make us feel like valued customers. I would highly recommend this company without a doubt.
