My daughter went to see Dr. Gary Moore at his office, she was having severe pain shooting through…read moreher head. Dr. Gary Moore walked in with a student doctor, did not introduce him nor ask my daughter if it was ok he be there. Mind you, he has been my daughter's Ear doctor for many years now. He didn't shake her hand or give her a very warm welcome as he usually does. He looked in her ear and said no infection and that the prothesis he put in her ear had fallen apart and that she needs a hearing test/CT scan. My daughter explained how her health insurance doesn't start until January. I (her mother) was trying to understand why no payment plan is offered. Dr. Moore then said: I don't know any doctor that takes payment plans. I explained how our other caregiver offers payment plan and he said: Well then why don't you go there? He then proceeded to hurry out of the room (My daughter still in his chair in pain and feeling dizzy). I then asked him if he is in this line of work to help people or if he's in it for the money? Dr. Moore then put his finger toward my face as he's halfway out of the room and said: You! I'm done with you! Then he left. My autistic daughter who was with us is now having nightmares about doctors. Says she doesn't trust doctors now. Ended up taking my daughter in pain to Urgent Care the next morning where she was diagnosed with Chronic Sinusitis. Spending another 150 for that visit. So in total Dr. Gary Moore cost us 300 for an office visit to get her seen. Not to mention the 100 dollars in medication she desperately needed. In conclusion, I have tried to reach Dr. Gary Moore's manger at Central Plains and have received no call back. I feel Gary Moore needs to retire if this is the way he is going to treat a long time patient. There is a P.A. in that office named Taylor and she is great! I DO NOT recommend Gary Moore!

So to summarize: Ear Specialists negotiates a cut rate with Blue Cross to get the benefits of being an in-network provider. They then pass the cost of that agreement along to patients, which in every circumstance requires patients to pay out of pocket for hearing aids. Ear Specialists have this scheme. the claims specialist had never heard of any other in-network providers using similar contract schemes to recover the discounts they agree to provide beneficiaries.

My hearing aids were useless as the receiver was behind my ear, and the phone was directly on my ear. I went to Belltone based on a low price newspaper ad - (OWH). I dealt with Scott Jones. He set me up with in the ear hearing aids. They mold the shape of your inner ear, and then send the molds out to have the product manufactured. It took less than a week to receive them back to the Belltone store. Then I met with Scott and he fine tuned them with me. He even tuned the left side so that it would be better while using the phone. I am very pleased with the product. He was recommended by a friend who is also a physician. I actually had an appointment scheduled with him when we met during a mediation class. The office staff is friendly and hardworking. The office is different, they had a very diverse clientele which includes working professionals, HIV patients, and what appears to be the homeless. But what is so great is, they treat everyone the same. It's hard to get in but they do have several "walk in" clinics.
