The power went out and the dance floor was pretty much shot. Drinks were winding down and some people had already gone home because it was already pretty late. But guess what was still running on a backup generator? The mothertrucking photo booth. We really only had like 45 minutes left at the venue, but the party continued in the dark with all these crazy lights going off while Reid did his thing. To top it off, the printer wasn't working because of said power issue, but he mailed prints of all photos which I was able to distribute to my guests afterwards. He included this super cool opalescent rock, which I'm basically going to treasure forever. You've seen the photos. His services are on the pricey side, but come on. You get what you pay for. By playing with light they create photos that are fun, unique, and all around just really cool. They were set up at Requiems one year anniversary, an event in Sacramento for a local company. He had us sit on a couch and be still while he used various light toys to make patterns as the picture took. Afterwards, you get a printed copy to keep and the digital copies are posted online. It was a super fun addition to the event and we all got some awesome photos. Tips: You can't move while the picture is being taken because it will come out blurry, but in some of the pictures the tiny bit of blur actually came out pretty cool.
