Our programs are fully focused on developing communication skills trough interactive activities; reading, writing and being immersed into the language with our cultural events. Our teachers are university educated, with a high education in Spanish as a foreign language and extensive experience. All of our groups are small (3-6 people), which gives the chance to participate all the time. This allows you to develop the ability to express yourself properly in a short amount of time with a variety of vocabulary and expressions. Most class sessions involve videos, reading, discussions, debates, games, and sometimes we have special guests. All of these strategies help to improve the main skills in learning a language: speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension.

History

Established in 2008.

PSL was born as a private Spanish language training organization in 2008 . Founded by Aida Perez who was born in Colombia where she worked as a Regulatory Affairs Manager for Latin America, for Bayer. At this position she developed a comprehensive knowledge of business, negotiations with different organizations, both government, and private sector as well as NGOs. She also developed a deep knowledge of business protocols as well of cultural differences among Spanish speaking countries. She arrived in Canada in 2001, and started work as a Spanish teacher and also at the University of Toronto as a Research Assistant in environmental projects. Mrs. Perez holds a Bachelor degree in Science and two certificates in History and Anthropology. Also, she obtained a certificate from Cervantes Institute in Vienne in Spanish Language. Currently she is a Masters candidate in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language.
