My heater went out two days ago due to a power surge and it's been super cold. I scheduled an appointment with PROFLO to have them fix my heater and get heat back in my blade. They were able to schedule a fix super fast. Rico was assigned to service my heater and fix it. He is extremely good at his job and was very thorough when inspecting my system. Within about ten minute Rico fixed my heater and gave me some great advice regarding how to handle this type of situation again if it comes up. Told us the new unit would be $7,000 and that they do in house financing at 9% or... Take a gamble for a $1,600 repair that works 20% of the time. We decided to get a second opinion. Once the appointment time came, Jared called and told me he would be there at the agreed upon time. He was actually a bit early, a plus in my book. I found them on yelp with a special they were running to be honest, I was waiting on the bait and switch, you know you call a company for the special, and when they get there they up sell you for some BS you don't need. CAUTION! Be very careful with this company. ProFlo came to our home to diagnose and repair a furnace that was not blowing hot air. Its diagnosis was the "furnace was blown out", "it is leaking carbon monoxide into the home" and "legally, they had to shut off the gas to the home". They provided a proposal with 3 options to replace the furnance at a cost of $7,000 to over $10,000 depending on the unit quality/specs. It didn't pass the gut/common sense test so I had two other local HVAC companies come out for 2nd/3rd opinions. Both of the subsequent companies concluded that the unit was in good condition and just needed to replace a capacitor. They both said it is extremely rare to need a new furnace. It was a $350 repair that ProFlo wanted to try to turn into a $10k repair if they could get away with it. ProFlo resorted to scare tactics with the idea of carbon monoxide leaking into the home. It was shady business and my recommendation is to avoid this company...and I am very careful about leaving negative feedback but believe we, the people, need to know/share to reward the honest companies and avoid the fraudsters. read more

I have used Pro Flo plumbers on three occasions. The last two occasions, I was given a timeframe of between 2:00 and 4:00 pm. At 4 pm I got a call that the plumber was running late and would be there sometime around 5pm. The first time the plumber came at 5:30 pm. I had to hold off dinner because I couldn't work in my kitchen where he was clearing a drain. It took him over an hour to clear the drain, so we had to eat dinner late. The second time the same exact thing happened except the plumber called at 4:00 and said he would be at my home at 4:30 pm. At 5:30 he still wasn't there so I called and complained. I got a call from from some guy that tries to smooth things over but all he did was say the plumber was in the area and would come over. I cancelled the service and called another company to do the job. It's inexcusable that the person that schedules these plumbers doesn't seem to have a handle on how long it takes to do certain plumbing jobs, so you're just given a time and maybe they will be there and maybe they will not. I'm afraid I can't live with that policy. read more

Although they're from Temecula, they were working in our neighborhood in Santa Monica and never made the distance an issue. They were utterly professional, adaptive and focused on problem solving. He read the sign by the doorbell to take shoes off, or help me clean the floor (LoL), and he went back to his truck and grabbed disposal shoe covers/booties (I guess he didn't want to help me clean the floor, LoL). He was very professional and respectful of our property. He also wore mask the whole time he was here. I wanted to take a few minutes and tell you about my experience with ProFlo. I needed to change out our AC units since they were 20 years old. They wouldn't cool the house and consumed way too much electricity. I went on Yelp and requested 5 contractors to come out and give me a quote for a replacement. I had the following issues that needed to be addressed. 1. Instead of 2 condensing units I wanted 1 that would power two air handlers. 2. Energy efficient. 3. Fix the heat problem on the south side of the house, both upstairs and downstairs. During the few weeks of quoting I had a chance to learn about the different AC manufacturers. One of the contractors suggest Daikin VRV system, this unit was amazing! From the documents and videos the reps showed me I learned that I could have a single condensing unit and 2 separate air handlers. After I met with 4 contractors I had the pleasure of meeting Jamie from ProFlo, Jamie came out took notes, came up with a plan to address all my concerns. We decided to go with ProFlo because of the price, the attention to detail and positive reviews. The Installation went without a hitch, ProFlo must have had 10 technicians at the house, everyone had a specific task to accomplish. The team did a very good job installing the condensing unit, the two air handlers, all new registers, two additional return ducts on top of the two that already came with the house. I will continue to call on ProFlo for all my AC needs. I highly recommend them for repairs and new unit installs. I also recommend asking about the Daikin VRV system, the condescending unit is super quiet its rated less than 60db if I'm not mistaken. I had an unfortunate accident the other day where my coil on my AC got punctured around 5 PM. The owner himself came out within the hour with nothing but the best customer service and skills and was able to temporarily fix my AC. I am a very handy person but I know my limitations. One of those being A/C problems. I called ProFlo and they told me they would come out the next day. Bryan showed up and was very direct about answering my questions and concerns. My unit was very old and i figured it could just be filled with refrigerant. He tried to add a sealer and the problem persisted. At that point, we began to discuss options. One of those being a complete new unit. Bryan was not pushy or money hungry.
