The primary one was for a bench that I built to replace a railing that separated our dining room from our sunken family room - but also to top off our Nexus TV Lift system which concealed our 65" TV. Working with ProGranite may be the only experience worth mentioning in our remodel project. They are a little bit of a drive from Seattle up in Mukilteo, but worth it. To start: they have a limited selection of granite marble and quartz on site to review. I thought that was a problem at first since I liked nothing they had. But Oxana referred me to a couple of wholesaler in Seattle the had probably the the most vast array I could imagine. I went from too few to too many options! I was able to pare the number down for my wife to come select the final piece. Worked out fine in the end and sure beat running from small dealer to smaller dealer in Seattle looking for the right granite slab. The estimate for the project came in lower than expected by several thousand dollars. The bid was completely transparent down to how much each extra curve and corner would cost. Make sure you are present for the measuring. They will have lots of important questions about overhang, seams, backsplash and such. We ended up changing our order a little based on their recommendation. Installation was prompt, professional and thorough. We had several smaller window sills and a table top cut as well as the counters. All were exactly to spec. Billing was OK and they were patient with us. I did not appreciate the 3% surcharge on the credit card payment. They prefer checks and I just don't deal with checks anymore. Eventually we negotiated the surcharge down to zero on the final payment which was cool, saved us several hundred dollars. I would use ProGranite again without reservation. But you'd have to hold a gun to my head to get me to remodel a kitchen again. read more

I ended up purchasing a slab from Crocodile Rocks as I wanted soapstone and their selection was wonderful. When it came to templating and installing, ProGranite came highly recommended. I ordered a new fridge and made the mistake of not taking the measurement from the overhanging countertop to the cabinet which impeded the fridge to fit properly. I stopped by several granite shops to see if they would be able to cut off a portion of my already installed countertop to have the new fridge fit. My experience with Pro Granite Surfaces was anything but pleasant from the beginning to the end. Let me start by saying that the company has a great variety of granite choices - color, texture, weight, shape - anything your heart desires! They also have different shapes and sizes of sinks for you choose from, perfectly displayed in the showroom. Don't have faucets - they will offer them too! The scheduling process by Arthur was very smooth - still surprised by their flexibility and customer-centered attitude. Mike came by to take measurements - these guys have the latest and greatest tools and devices to make sure your new countertop fits your nonstandard bathroom, leveled and cut perfectly to accommodate your needs. Mike was very respectful and offered to put the shoes covers on when he came in. Once the countertops were ready to install, Yuan and Ivan delivered and carefully took them upstairs (without hitting and scratching any corners and walls!!!). In one of my bathrooms, the drywall was bended a bit but they managed to adjust the backsplash to make this issue less visible. It has truly been an amazing end-to-end experience working with the ProGranite team. They really took care of our family for our major renovation on our first home. The kitchen is such a main focal point for any home and it is a special place for our family to cook and the build memories together over food, so we had to pick someone that we could trust. We shopped around at a few different places big box retailers, but it was clear ProGranite stood out from the rest. For starters, they have an amazing showroom floor where they showed us different quartz samples and educated us on the different quality tiers and options that would fit best for our home and cabinet colors (which they had different samples of on-hand to help us decide which material and color would fit best). After looking at the samples, we were able to look at the full slabs to gather the full depth and beauty of each variation of material. After inspecting the slabs, they walked us through the different configuration options for our kitchen and we also toured their sink showroom. During the whole consultation, they were never pushy and they didn't rush us through the process, which put me at ease. Once the consultation was complete, they digitally sent us CAD drawings of the design and quote for the project. All paperwork and payments were also done online, which is a real plus so I could thoroughly review all of the documents at my own pace, keep a copy of all of the paperwork, and not feel the pressure of going in-person. Once the down payment was received, I was contacted by their scheduler, Arthur. He was really was great to work with, he was very transparent through the whole process by sending me the overall start to finish schedule and he asked if I had any time preferences or limitations. For each step of the project, I received email and text reminders for all of my appointments as well as a phone call before each team member headed over to our home. The first appointment was with Mike, who came in-person to custom make our counter top and backsplash template. He was a really friendly guy and was very knowledgeable guy and he was able to answer a lot of our questions about the overall process since he did countertop installations for ProGranite for several years before transitioning over to creating templates. The first major part of our remodel was the countertop and island installation with Uriel. He and his team were really friendly and were obsessed with doing the job right, I saw him triple check to make sure our waterfall island was perfectly square and level. They did an amazing job mitering the joints and I couldn't even tell the waterfall on our island were three sperate pieces. He even asked me to double check his work to make sure I was satisfied with the results. Before leaving, they did an excellent job cleaning up and double checking everything was right before they left. Next came the backsplash installers Vinny and Ivan. Honestly, he and his team were super nice, professional, and transparent throughout the installation process. There was a minor hiccup with our full height backsplash since we have two small window cut outs that were also supposed to be lined with quartz. The issue came when he noticed our windows not perfectly square so he had to do a custom hand fit job and recut a few pieces to make sure it looked perfectly square. Vinny was transparent throughout the whole process and as soon as he found out there needed to be some adjustments, I heard him calling up Mike, the template creator to discuss the issue, as well as the fabrication shop to cut new pieces. Once Vinny found he a solution, he then informed me, which I was really grateful for because it showed he cared and was proactive in finding a solution. Just like Uriel, after making the final installation, he doubled checked with me to make sure everything was 100% and I was satisfied with the work. Overall, after writing this novel of a review and reflecting on my positive experience, I would defiantly recommend ProGranite to all of my family and friends. I am defiantly choosing them for my next countertop project. I needed a Silestone Quartz remnant for a small make-up vanity countertop and backsplash. I visited the outdoor area where they keep granite and quartz slabs and they found the remnant I needed. The next week they came out to template the space and two weeks after that a two person team of Julio and Carlos installed the counter and backsplash just as planned. The most important thing, and the only thing that matters in the long run, is the attention to detail. These guys picked where to cut the slabs, getting just the parts we wanted -- they put the cuts in the least noticeable places -- they matched up the grain lines across cuts -- for a truly amazing effect. Countertop selection and installation is confusing, IMO. I had to immerse myself in this world in order to shop for a relatively small bathroom countertop for a remodel we are doing. Ran all around Seattle looking at remnants, slabs, and half-slabs: turns out you mostly need to order a half-slab minimum even if yr countertop needs are way less than that. So happy to discover ProGranite - well worth the relatively easy drive to Mukilteo. Here's why: *customer service - exceptional! All the ladies who work in the showroom are stylish, helpful, and have a good understanding of the materials and what will work with yr decor *selection - tons more remnants than any of the places I saw in Seattle *pricing - very fair and they worked with me to find something that was in budget, reducing the price a bit to help us get the piece we wanted but initially could not afford. *quality - Ceaserstone and all the other name brands are here - MOST IMPORTANTLY they have a selection of materials you can order/pay for by the Sq Ft so you dont have to buy a minimum 1/2 slab - this was only place I found who would do that *AWESOME PEOPLE - everyone from Alena in the front office to the other lovely ladies in the showroom to the installers themselves were knowledgeable, friendly, polite, and professional. When we were wavering over a remnant vs an in-stock material, Alena went to the trouble of sourcing a different remnant and emailing a photo - eventually we took that remnant and we are so happy with our beautiful countertop. After talking with three different stone installers we chose ProGranite as they were priced in the middle plus their salesman seemed knowledgeable and connected with the stone providers. Once we gave our first portion of the check (half of the huge bill), our experience changed. Partly our fault, but if ProGranite was organized and professional our communication may have been much smoother. After we were rushed to select our stone by the ProGranite salesman, we got feedback from our building team that we should change the color slightly so we got back to him within two days. Everything was confirmed and it seemed it would be ok. No problem. Four months later, with many back and forth, communications via text messages or cryptic emails from the ProGranite salesman we didn't get exactly get what we ordered and paid for. The quality was pretty poor as well and they didn't care about their quality - putting small pieces of stone together so it would be cheaper for ProGranite with huge seams in places, huge spaces and even some missing stone in areas. They had to come back more than three times, usually really late (even after 7 p.m. or on the weekends) and not on the day scheduled, to fix these problems. In the end, we got what we paid for, but still it was a lot of money. We paid them just to get them out of our lives and gave up with thinking we'd get exactly what we wanted. If you squint it looks really good, just don't look to close. And, please don't use ProGranite. read more
