10421 Henbane Court (White House / Black Door) 1. Invasion of Privacy from the Neighbors If you are facing the house, the neighbors on the left were extremely intrusive. One incident in particular really crossed the line. I had guests over for an upcoming birthday celebration and asked some of them to leave through the back door so my Ring camera wouldn't record them leaving through the front. Why I chose to do that is nobody else's business. Unfortunately, the neighbors decided to make it their business and called the police. It is broad daylight. 1-2pm in the afternoon on a bright sunny day. I was still asleep when my guests were leaving and I woke up to loud banging on my front door that literally shook the house. I went downstairs while one of my guests was still inside preparing to leave. When I opened the door, there were two police officers questioning me about who lived there and what was going on. I told them I was confused about why they were there, and they explained they had received a call about "possible squatting activity." Apparently, the neighbor called the police because they "hadn't seen me in a few days" and assumed someone was squatting in the house. At the time, I had a backyard tent that had been destroyed in a storm. I left it in my backyard temporarily so I could break it down and throw it away. Because the damaged tent sat in my backyard for several days, they assumed my friends were squatters. What made the situation even more frustrating was that the other neighbor texted me afterward explaining that they thought someone was squatting. If you truly thought something was wrong and you already had my phone number why not simply text me first and ask if I was okay, still living there, or at home? Instead, they immediately involved the police. Our daughters had even played together before this happened, which made the entire situation even more confusing and disappointing. I was extremely embarrassed because it was the first time those guests had visited my home, and suddenly the police were pounding on the door. After that incident, both neighbors constantly watched our house as if they were waiting for something to happen, despite us never causing disturbances. They would remove decorations from our mailbox, the neighbors to the right would open our mail and then return it, and they would monitor us constantly. If I was outside doing yard work, one neighbor would suddenly walk over from the other neighbor's house just to observe what I was doing. Whenever we had family over and sat in our backyard, one of the neighbors would immediately come sit in his own backyard tent and watch us the entire time. Yes, people are free to sit outside, but it always felt very intentional and uncomfortable. The tent was dark enough that you couldn't easily see him unless you looked closely, which made it even creepier. My daughter was genuinely uncomfortable around him. Also, be aware that there seemed to be a strange sense of competition. If you cut your grass, they would suddenly cut theirs the next day. If you enjoy decorating for holidays, expect them to quietly compete with your decorations as well. 2. HOA Communication & Maintenance Issues The house is white and there is no grass along the side of the home, whenever it rained, the dirt would turn into mud and splash onto the siding, leaving orange-colored stains on the panels. We purchased a pressure washer and tried cleaning the siding ourselves, but the stains would not come off completely. I contacted the HOA and explained that we were attempting to resolve the issue, but the panels were stained and, since we were renting the home, I wasn't sure what else could be done if our efforts weren't working. About a week later, a random truck appeared parked in our yard. The worker connected a long hose from his truck directly to our outdoor water spigot. We received absolutely no notice about when they would arrive or what time they would be there. At first, I genuinely thought someone was stealing water until I went outside and asked what he was doing. Afterward, I took photos of the cleaned siding and emailed them in as proof that the issue had been resolved. Later, we received a bill for over $400 stating that we were responsible for paying it. When we called to ask why we were being charged, they explained that our lease stated we were responsible for exterior maintenance. While I understand that responsibility may fall on us according to the lease, the issue was the lack of communication. Why weren't we informed about the cost beforehand to see whether we could afford it or possibly hire someone less expensive ourselves? Instead, the charge was simply added onto us without warning. I am a current tenant and I wouldn't refer my own enemy to Progress. I live in one of the Huntersville, NC homes and they are the worst. I am currently looking for another home to move to that isn't managed by Progress. They do not put real effort into fixing anything. When I normally have requests they send the same technician, Homar. There has been times when there have been other techs come out but their work has been fine. It is only when Homar comes. Homar came out to look at the kitchen garbage disposal one time and when he reconnected the water, he reconnected the hot to the cold side and the cold side to the hot side. I did not notice until he left. Homar came to my home multiple times after that for other issues and I told him about it. He acted like he could not do anything and like he didn't hear me. It took a different technician when he paid me a visit for a differnt repiar to kindly switch them back. That tech asked me who did this and I told him. He gave me a sideye and said Progress will hire anybody which I am clearly seeing. Now here comes the bigger issue. The patio door also has a sliding screen door. I kept having issues with it coming off track. So Homar went and bought another one. The new one does not sit properly on the track. I can still see outside from some sides of it and it doesn't latch close correctly. Most recently, Homar came on a Tuesday to put the screen back up and it was back down by Wednesday/Thursday. I asked him after he put it back up if the issue is a tenant issue or cause by me because it keeps coming off. I already knew the answer but wanted to see what he would say. Homar said that it wasn't a tenant fault and that the tracking needs to be replaced. I asked him because I have cameras in my home and I wanted it to be recorded. Like seriously! I am 45 years old and it doesnt take a rocket scientist to open and close a sliding door. The screen patio door, the door to my garbage room and the door to my laundry room are very cheap doors. The brackets needs to be replaced which has been said by Homar himself. Instead, they keep coming back to bend the thin metal back and put the doors back up. Homar also just recently put the garbage room door back on track and now the door doesnt close all the way. All of this was mentioned today in the call to Progress. I also asked to have a master technician to come take a look to get to the root of the problem so that I can stop having to call for repairs. Progress charged me $75 today stating that there has been too many work requests for the same patio door. Like be for real! Let's use common sense here! If you have a tenant who keeps having multiple orders for the same issue with the same technician repairing it, why not send out a master technician or a different technicican to look at it. I was told that it could not happen. I was also told that they will take my request into consideration of not having Homar for future requests but they can't guarantee it. WHY KEEP SENDING THE SAME INCOMPETENT TECHNICIAN OUT TO REPLACE OR TRY TO FIX THINGS WHEN HE ISNT FIXING THE ISSUE?!?!? Make it make sense. They are charging the tenant for their incompetent tech instead of trying to fix the issue! And they wonder why I won't renew my lease. This is reason number 9. BEWARE!!! I took hours off of work to do a self tour for a property rental but once I arrived at the property (5716 Prescott) ; their system never sent me the code to get into the property to view. Prior to setting up a self tour, they want your copy of your license and a selfie to ensure you are who you are . So when you provide all that they ask and get to the property their system does not register that you have arrived to the property and they fail to send you the code to get into the rental home. The rep I spoke with sound like he was not able to comprehend but wanted my DOB , so I thought he was going to compare the info on my driver's license that I previously uploaded to them... NOT!!! He had no clue as to what the issue was and provided me a step to step process that I've already done prior to arriving to the rental home. Why, do they play with people lives when people are seeking to consider one of their listing as their new home. Horrible process and if you can't get any assistance with entry of the home for a self tour; I can not imagine moving into one of their units and then dealing with incompetent employees. I do not rent from Progress, but I had a Progress driver hit a "Slow" (Children at play) sign in my yard - one of those little green plastic ones that look like a kid with a red hat and a flag. Admittedly, this bothered me more than just the cost of the sign, I was more concerned about an inattentive driver in a neighborhood with kids present and playing in the yard. I confronted the driver to ask for his manager's contact info. The driver was rude, refused to give me a name or contact info, so I had to call the corporate help line. That ended up being a huge waste of time. The would open a ticket, and then close it without contacting me. I called every couple of weeks for 2 months, same result. The last person I talked to at corporate flat out refused to open a new ticket, and was the worst customer service experience I've ever had over the phone. I ending up going to the local Progress office in Charlotte. I talked to an extremely nice receptionist, who understood that I was more concerned about receiving an apology than replacing the sign. I was promised a follow up. I received a call offering to replace the damaged sign, and picked it up from the local office. Overall, way the Corporate help line handled the complaint was horrible. I can only imagine that your complaints and requests would be handled in a similar manner, i.e., not at all. Corporate flat out refused to fix the problem, and it literally took me showing up in person at the local office to get any resolution. I really would advise people not to rent from this company, as the corporate help desk is a joke. They closed tickets without resolution, had horrible customer service, and actually attached my email to other complaints (in some cases on the other side of the country) so I was getting calls about open tickets completely unrelated to my request. If they can't manage their customer service system, I definitely wouldn't want to rely on them to fix something in a place I'm living. read more

This is by far the worst rental company I have ever worked with. I have been in this house since April 2025 and they have yet to fix my fence that THEY said they were sending someone to fix at move in. They do not respond to their generated text messages. Maintenance is HORRIBLE!!! My element went out a couple of months after I moved in and instead of them ordering the part and bringing it on the appointment that I waited a week for, they came looked at the element and said "yes it needs the element and we had to order it" WTH, I told you it needed the element so now I am without an oven for 2 weeks!!! Here we are in December 2025 and the same element goes out AGAIN. I put in my request and it's 2 WEEKS before someone can even come out. I boarded my dog so that they could come without me being home today. I get the text that the technician is on the way. I reply and inform them to text me when they arrive so I can unlock the door from my Smart Home app. NO TEXT. I track the technician and the working shows "started" for 30 minutes. Funny thing, I have a camera inside and got no notifications of movement inside the house. As soon as I sent a text to the same number that I was texting with no response I get a message that my work order was put on hold because no one was home. Their lease requires that you provide 30 days notice before moving out. Fair enough. We were in the process of buying a new house, and didn't know what our closing date would be, so we couldn't give exactly 30 days notice because we didn't know if we would have to rent one more month due to the timing. As soon as we got our closing date, we gave notice to Progress, which ended up being 26 days as opposed to 30. So, when they refunded our security deposit, they took $1,800 out of our $2,000 deposit, all because we were 4 days late. What a rotten thing to do. We were excellent tenants- always paid rent early, left the place immaculate, never had any complaints made about us, etc. We were model tenants. And despite all this, they charged us $1,800 because we were 4 days late giving "notice." A few other things about Progress: -They write their own leases as opposed to using the standard lease form used by the majority of landlords in the state. Their leases are clearly written by their lawyers, as everything is in their favor and they are held accountable for almost nothing. -You are responsible for all utilities. They cover nothing, not even heat and hot water. -You are responsible for lawn care. -You are responsible for cleaning the gutters. -Their customer service is weak. They only answer the phones for emergencies. For routine stuff, you have to email them, and it can take up to a week for them to respond. -Be prepared for significant rent increases each year you stay. Even if you were an excellent tenant, they will cut you no slack. -Prior to move-out, you must have the rental cleaned by a "professional cleaning service" and you must leave a receipt as proof, otherwise they will use their own staff to clean the rental and charge you an exorbitant fee. More than likely the property has issues as long as your arm that they have covered with a bandaid. 3. I just needed to complete the income verification (which I never received). Then got an email a few days later that my application was denied. I've contacted Felisia several times who has yet to give me a response. I can't get through to an actual human being over the phone and my local progress office was unable to help me. Beware Do Not Rent From This Company: I hate to have to write this bad review but these pass 3 days has been living h*** for me and my family. We have been living in a progress residential property since last year April 2022. Everything was going smoothly at first until we started having issues with our a/c unit last summer June. The a/c lines will freeze up and we have had multiple techs with progress come out and claim to have fixed the issue since last year summer. An here it is summer again the hottest month of the summer. My family and I have been without a/c for 3 days straight now due to one of progress residential service maintenance techs came out 2 days ago to look at it and ended up overcharging the a/c unit when the only issue was the lines keep freezing up like last summer issue with this a/c unit. Now the result from that the a/c unit won't come on at all now nothing is blowing out no cool or hot air come out. We had a second tech come and he put in work order for an outside hvac vendor to come fix our a/c unit and no phone call no show from this vendor also. We have made multiple phone calls to progress just to wait over an hour to get someone on the line. We have spoken to multiple reps and supervisors with progress and nothing has been resolved as we make this review which is going on day 3 of no air in the house and we have two kids in the home with one being a 6 month old baby at that. My babies shouldn't have to suffer like this in the heat the temps inside our home is 93 degrees upstairs and 82 degrees downstairs and that is with 3 fans and a portable a/c unit that the last progress tech gave us to us on Thursday night until someone comes fixes the unit. Oh as for hotel accommodation from progress residential is a whole joke we were told from one of the supervisors we had to come out of our own pocket for the days we stay in the hotel until they get someone out to fix our a/c. Which supposed to been this morning at 8:00am but here it is after 9:00am and no one has called or even showed up again. So here we are left to figure it out on our own again when we it's not our fault that we in this situation to began with. So now our next resort would be to reach out to our lawyer and to contact our local news to see if something can get done because no resident and their family should have to suffer in this almost 100 degree weather with no a/c. But they make sure to get their rent money on time each month but can't make sure to keep up the maintenance on their properties. I paid $150 for 3 rental applications, and was approved, and was notified that I had 7 days to pay all the fees associated with leasing the property I had been interested in. They cancelled the applications the day after Thanksgiving and said that if I wanted the lease the property, I would have to start all over again and pay another $150. Which of course I am not. DO NOT RENT WITH THEM!!!! Where do I even begin? This nightmare started in Dec 2023 when they tried to bounce back $1500 of our rent payment and then it DISAPPEARED. Currently in a dispute with my bank trying to find this missing money that the "third party" took. We didn't catch this until it was too late. Because of this, they've been slapping late fees on us every month and put us into EVICTION with NO notice! They took more of my rent money and used it for "eviction filing fees" which put us further into a hole! Went to the office and we were told that they can't do anything about it. We then tried to just pay it again to see we were BANNED from making online payments forever for something that was never our fault! Trying to get help from anyone in general is impossible. Our lease states we were supposed to get air filters delivered every 3 months and they never came. I contacted the filter company and they told me they no longer work with Progress and that they don't even service NC!!!! Now trying to move out they could not provide me with a list of "preferred" cleaners. No one knew what I was talking about despite being instructed to request this list BY PROGRESS. This company is the most disorganized, money hungry, dodging company I have ever done business with. I rented from them for 6months. From the second day I was there, the problems in the house were never fixed right. The countertops were busted, Drawers broken, cigarette and cigar stench in the garage, and holes all over the front and back yard. I called and emailed at least once a week about fixing the problems. Then the HOA violation notices starting coming in. Turns out I was told from the HOA that I was smack dab in the middle of a maintenance war between the HOA and Progress. It would have cost me nearly 150 a month to pay someone to tend to the weeds and grass problems. PR told me I was responsible for it, even after I showed them pictures from google earth from past years when the problem existed. The management does not return emails and calls, the maintenance guy only does what he is told, and the local reps take messages and "file them" into a server somewhere. I had enough and filed to leave. Now they want to charge me 2 months rent penalty, on top of holding me there for 60 days before I could leave, then now charging me for repairs to the house that I filed maintenance requests for while I was there. Now I moved out and they want to charge me for painting the walls. They weren't painted when I moved in - why is this my problem again?? The district manager and the corporate are amanager hide behind emails and their local reps. Noone was professional enough to even call or come out. This is a home for someone and you guys treated me like a piece of my boot heel. I hope someday someone treats you as badly as you have treated me. Maybe then you will recognize that treating people with respect and courtesy goes much further in your bottom line than the way you did. Underhanded, low, disrespctful, and money hungry. Don't rent from this company. They will rent to you a place with clear dirtiness to them. I reserved a home, when it was ready to view I viewed it. Few issues we overlooked, like a dent in the fridge, but what we couldn't get over was the stains in the carpet. We signed the lease, thinking they would replace or clean the carpet no problem. We are in the process of transferring homes, and that has been anything but clear and easy. The staff has been dishonest, and it is really screwing us over. We have gotten conflicting information from different representatives; one representative told us that we could make payments (such as our security deposit and first months rent at the new house) to our resident portal. Since then, we have been told that that is not the case, after we already paid $2000+ toward those costs. Our lease at the current home is up on the 14th, and they added a bunch of charges to our current account that should not be there, such as a $300 month-to-month fee and 17 days of inflated rent. I called and was basically told to "if you can just go ahead and pay those fees in addition to the fees on the new house. You'll be refunded the difference along with your security deposit. If your balance is over 1000 on the 8th, you'll get a demand letter for the 'debt'" Uhm what?? I am also being told that there is no way to get those charges removed or fixed and I would have to wait until after moving out. I am also being told that we still need to pay the ~4500 in charges to move into our new home. In total, they are expecting us to pay close to $7,000 in a single month, with the assurance that we'll get back the proper difference eventually. The entire time, we were reassured that the home transfer process was simple and straightforward. I don't know how anyone within the company could possibly make such a claim with a clear conscience. What an absolutely terrible company. I'm still living in my rental home which has mold but Progress refuses to have someone inspect on the basis that mold is hard to detect. I have been in the home for six months now and have developed mold toxicity which is an absolute nightmare. I begged and nope, sorry that's your responsibility. Oh and when I moved in, leaking sink pipe, all improvements appear to have been made by a monkey and there's a $40 service fee for paying rent online. TERRIBLE customer service. Found a cute house we loved, and still like. However, when trying to reach Progress, the average call wait is 1.5 hours (they tell you it's a 35 min wait time. Unfortunately not true). You speak to someone very briefly who transfers you....where you wait another hour and STILL get nothing done. P.s. you can call the new customer line and get a hold of someone first ring. But they will transfer you straight to the que for current customers. We had our AC give out in the middle of Summer in the southern heat - 2hr wait time call with an extra hour of speaking with them because they refused to consider it an emergency. After arguing, they decided 82degree house is an emergency. We have called about transferring to another Progress home nearby in the past. This is additional $300 fee per pet - We have 2 dogs and only paid a $50 sign on for them upfront. We have only been here 7 months and this has been our experience this far... Absolutely ZERO care for their current customers. We are cash cows til the next one comes. their prime goal is gaining more customers and nickel and diming the ones they have. I would give them 0 stars if I could. my husband and I have rented from several rental companies and have never had such an awful experience. We rented from them for over two years (2 different homes) leaving the homes in as good or better condition than we received them. We are easy renters. We handle all of the minor maintenance issues ourselves so we're not asking a maintenance worker to come out and fix small, easily resolvable issues. We professionally clean the houses upon move out and fill any holes and paint the whole wall with the correct color paint. We have NEVER had a rental company keep any portion of our deposit as we take very good care of our homes. When we finally gave up on Progress for their lack of customer support and for jacking the price up by several hundred dollars at the end of the lease, we moved to another company. They not only kept out $2,000 deposit but tried to charge us an additional $1,000 on top of that. When we called to ask questions we were told that there was nobody we could talk to since we were past residents (typical Progress) and we had to send an email disputing the charges. We did and received very rude responses from a Progress customer representative. We asked that someone call and talk to use to discuss the charges because emailing back and forth was not productive and taking forever and we were told that email was the only option and there was no way to escalate our case. They have a tendency to screw over good renters and have terrible customer service representatives. You can call three times and ask the same question each time and you'll get a different answer each time. Their customer service representatives don't know their own company policies and often don't give accurate information and your expected to know what is accurate and what is not. I've never been scammed so bad. There's a reason they have a 1 star rating. read more

Worse management company ever. The staff is extremely unprofessional, rude, nasty and they talk to you as if your a government recipient instead of a tenant. Dealing with the staff has to be one of my worse experience dealing with anyone on a professional level that offers you a service, ever. GHETTO!!!! DO NOT RENT. The house was infested with roaches, the kitchen sink kept leaking which caused a molded bubble like flooring, there was no paint job (hired professional painters) there were writings on the wall that had a very poor attempt to be covered, we had to do most the work moving in and getting someone on the phone to answer the most simplistic question was worse then trying to get a co-vid shot in March 2020. It is 19 degrees outside and we have no heat. There has been an ongoing issue with the heating in the house but they have no interest in fixing it. Our electric bills are about $400 a month during the winter because the only thing that works is the heating strips WHICH IS UNACCEPTABLE. Right now there is no heat at all. I called last month after not getting my $250 back in the 30 days that your website stated was when it would be refunded to me. please be aware they are only interested in stealing your application fees! i was denied with good credit and no evictions, etc! they told me to get a guarantor so i had my mom with exceptional credit report and profile and they still denied us blaming everything on "safe rent" first the rep stated that they pull from experian, then he said they dont pull from any credit bureau they are looking for rental scores not credit reports! but neither of us have evictions! basically they just stole my money! read more

THE WORST EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD WITH A RENTAL COMPANY. Nobody was helpful, nobody could answer my questions and the approval process is extremely difficult. They refused to refund my deposit or any fees that were charged. My lease is up In 4 days and they have proceeded to put me through loophole after loophole and do not care. The people I spoke to were polite and that's all I can say. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was put on hold for 30 min. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY! Also they will not accept any paystubs and they don't have that listed anywhere on their website. Keeping my money and leaving me pretty much homeless because I trusted them through this process. Not good is an understand, Brutal is a better word. This was sent to their customer service, but they do not care. All about quick money. To whom it concerns: I like to speak to a supervisor. Your company needs to know how bad you are run. We applied for a home for rent. We did our best in our first time applying for rental coming from Chicago to North Carolina. My wife worked so hard, found the right place and she is in tears because of how you handled the situation. I must tell you, if I run my business and if I treated my customers with this type of follow up I would be out of business. Details which progressed: A few things were missing on the application, my wife followed up, she is very good at it, and no one told us about things needed. No one bothered to let us know that we you needed a couple of items. No one, because obviously its robots running your company, not human beings. We found out when we got a letter declined. Then my wife followed up and they said they now have it and will reapply with out an extra fee. Getting bounced to different people each call. Then we get a notice someone else got it. This is extremely bad customer service to put it nicely, with total disrespect for people, their lives and someone moving from another state. You let your automation determine things and obviously not perfected along with your people having terrible follow up skills. What we have as income, investments, we could of bought the place with cash: We own a house outright (750K) in South Carolina which we get $2800 a month, have more then a million in investments, we own 2 places we are selling in Illinois, I make 100 k a year but put 70 k down, my wife is a real estate agent, daughter has a job here and will get one there easy, already applied. Our daughters dad was moving in January and he has a pension and disability. I wont mention more income or investments we have and you decline us. Shameful. We don't qualified on just the rental income and our income, 4 people making money, wow. Of course not because your automation is flawed as well as your employees. I can tell you this you will be getting a barrage of social media announcement on what your company has done. You have no idea who I know and it will circulate for sure, rapidly. There will be a lot of people knowing about your company on my podcast. This is total disrespectful and your ownership group should be firing lots of people involved in this process. If they worked for me they be fired on the spot. I know you will send your typical PR letter, so go for it. You had no problem taking our money and giving no service. The staff and company is so inconsiderate of issues in the homes they are renting it's ridiculous. My husband passed away the day after I received keys. The company refused to allow me to cancel my lease which I was ONE day in and told my Casualty Assistance Officer from Headquarters Marine Corps that my husband had to be LIVING and relocating duty stations for myself, 1yr old and 3yr old to move on his final military orders. Maint. Issues: there were nails sticking out the entire flight of steps. I put a request in and it took over a week for someone to come take care of it. My 1yr old had to go to the emergency room for cutting her toe on a nail. I have had to follow up on numerous request and email their headquarters to get someone to come take care of issues such as shutters falling off the home, floor tiles sliding apart causing gaps in the floor, AC shutting off causing the home to reach over 85 degrees I was charged incorrect fees for the ENTIRE year when I constantly provided proof that I had renters insurance through my bank. Now that my year lease is coming to an end I have purchased a home and knew I was not renewing my lease with progress residential. I informed them via call when a young man constantly called to send the offer. My pre move out inspection was scheduled via phone by ANN on a Monday. When that Friday came no one showed up. And she said she must have forgotten to add it. So I had to wait home all day Monday for someone to show up on the new date. Just for that gentleman to be LATE well past his 2hr window as well! Now I'm on my last month of my lease and they are charging me $3,000 for rent when it's normally $1,700. They have added prorated rent past my lease date. Insufficient notice fees when I notified them and was told it was good enough but if I changed my mind I could still renew. These are some heartless, inconsiderate, unsympathetic individuals and I would not recommend anyone to this company. ALSO: there's a shutter still down from weather, I'm not even going to be surprised if they try and add that to charge me for since it's been 2weeks maintenance haven't come to fix it and I move out next week! Please allow me to explain further: We started out in 2019 by requesting to have our garage door opener fixed as it stopped working. A technician/maintenance person showed up and worked on it for a bit. Had to go get some other parts and returned. They purchased new remotes for us which was nice but only one of them worked. They had failed to program the other and the door wasn't fully functional. The outside keypad had stopped working after your technician finished his work here. We had to pay an electrician to come out and program the other remote and to this day the garage door still doesn't work as it should. The outside keypad still doesn't work and even from the inside we have to press and hold the switch on the wall to get the door open. Later on I had requested more maintenance on the door knob to our downstairs restroom and to repair our mailbox that had fallen over. We were in for a real surprise with the technician who came out for that. He attempted to tighten the door knob but cross threaded a screw and left sticking out about an inch (see image). What made matters worse was that the head of the screw he couldn't get seated correctly was stripped and left a sharp piece of metal causing my wife and myself to rip flesh from our knuckles as we attempted to use the door know. Nice, right? During the same request, your technician 'fixed' the problem with our mailbox:(See picture) Pretty handy work, right? This has made us feel as if we live in a ghetto. Not exactly the standard I expect or pay for. Later on we requested a technician again as we had a leak under our kitchen sink. The technician came and attempted a fix. Again and again and again. Nobody seemed to be able to find or fix the problem. They did replace the disposal as the water was leaking from the bottom. However, that night a flood of water came from the pipe as the technician didn't tighten the pipe to the disposal. All in all, we had 10 different request's on the leak alone. Ten/10!!! After the last event, we hired our own plumber to address the issue and we haven't had an issue since. The last Progress Residential Technician and supervisor who came out for the sink seemed to be great guys as were all of the technicians you sent out. I even showed the supervisor the door knob fiasco and the mailbox trash. He was kind enough to fix the doorknob. I lent him a small pair of Channel Locks to assist his efforts as he didn't have anything that could get in that tight of a space. He also seemed appalled at the 'work' done on the mailbox and promised to have it fixed. That was a few months ago. I've not seen him since nor have I seen the Channel Locks I lent him. Not a big deal as I have since replaced them but this speaks volumes about the quality of service we get as your customers. For such a large organization, you may want to work harder on the customer service part? The comments on the web and in the forums really speak to what I have experienced. I gave them over 60 days notice of move out and they LOST my notice. They never followed up with me and never asked for a forwarding address for my security deposit. I had to reach out to them when I hadn't received any move out information, I had to reach out to them when they charged me month to month rent because they lost my move out notice, I had to reach out to them when they didn't ask for a forwarding address for my security deposit- they just told me they sent it to my last known address what sense does that make? I spent hours on hold with them, their customer service is a joke. It's been a full time job trying to get in contact with them and get my money back! Extremely disorganized company where it's impossible to get ahold of anyone. None of the employees have any idea what's going on and it's not possible to talk to a manager or escalate an issue. Progress had me pay a $300 holding fee for a house that wouldn't be available for a month. Then a few days before I was supposed to move in, they told me it wouldn't be ready for another 2 months with zero explanation when asked what happened. Someone else will be moving into my current residence since I was planning on moving out, so I'm scrambling to find a different house to rent. Obviously I will start working with a different company. Terrible customer service, cannot reach anyone that could help, keep on getting passed along. I applied for a home rental and was denied based on some judgement that appears on my credit report since 2016, insead of them telling me I have been running around like a maniac trying to figure this out. come to find out that this should NEVER have been in my records and I now have a court date of January 4, 2022 to get it turned around. something that could have been resolved with the proper documentation.
