Toured the Promenade at Blue Hill. I like that it is a small community and the residents receive individualized attention. We met with Joe, Theresa and Amanda, all of whom seem to be caring, experienced people with the best interests of the residents at heart. A family member of mine recently had to be removed from the facility in Chestnut Ridge NY and hospitalized because of neglect and abuse. the family member did not have Covid-19, but was locked in their room for weeks with the bare minimum. Unable to leave the bed unattended, their person was often left cold and shaking in a soiled and wet bed without blankets. A private nurses aid had to be hired so the person would be able to have their basic human needs met. The family has photos and videos of the conditions. I would put less than one star if I could. Covid-19 or not; its still no reason to ignore a person and leave them without food and water in reach. I hope the facility will be held accountable. read more

I could not be happier with my choice of putting my Dad who is 88 years old in The Promenade of Blue Hill. I looked around at MANY assisted living facilities in the area for the perfect fit for my Dad. The minute I walked into The Promenade, I knew is was the right place. I meet with a wonderful woman Theresa, who was informative and understanding to my needs and concerns. Joseph the manager is wonderful as well. He explained everything to me about the community at The Promenade. I felt a great sense of comfort and peace of mind. I was so delighted that I made the correct choice. My Dad is happy there and socializing with other residents. I would give this establishment a 5 out of 5. Would highly recommend. read more
