I was registered to take the GRE at 3 Center-view Drive, Greensboro NC suite 248 at 0830am February 13th. Upon my arrival at 715am the doors were locked. On February 12th at 1400/2:00pm a reminder of my test date phone call was received and I was told to arrive no later than 0800am. I stayed at the testing center until 830am with no answer on the door. The doors remained locked. No email, phone call, or message was received that the testing center would be closed for that day. Several other concerned test takers arrived as well to ultimately be turn away after paying and preparing for their exam. I write in extreme frustration with this testing center due to the inconvenience, waste of time, and loss of money. Dealing with the lack of preparation and communication through this testing center is unacceptable. I have drove to this testing center (which is two hours away) and wasted my time. If I could give this placed a negative star I would. Still waiting on an email to give me a refund or a new test date. The website is conveniently closed this weekend. Horrible horrible place. If I could give it negative stars, I would. Everyone who works there is unfriendly and completely unhelpful. The employees don't know their jobs and do nothing. I arrived to take a test and wasn't allowed to take it, because my license expired TWO DAYS ago. Did the DMV send an update? No. Do you know when your license expires without looking at it? Then, Prometric says if I can go to the DMV and renew my license within 30 minutes, I could take my test. Hello, can you get anything done at the DMV in 30 minutes plus driving time? No. Also, this place didn't even pick up their phone. I called dozens of times and NO ONE answered. Talk about great customer service. Do NOT go there to take a test. read more

Incompetence at it's best! So I went in with an N95 approved mask and there're trying to tell me it's not approved because they think just because it has a vent on both side it must not be. Even though this mask has charcoal filters on the inside they would not listen. I told them it's N95, all they can say is "sorry, I can't let you test with that" but, get this: I'm already inside, so what difference does it make? Anyway! I go to the car and get another N95 mask. Come back and she starts signing me in then notices this one has a vent on it too. But it clearly says N95. So I'm like look I came all the way from Apex, NC over an hour away. I assure you these mask are good. Looking at their mask: they had really cheap mask on that had gaps around it. Mine fit snugly. Eventually I was allowed to test but one lady ask me what the name of it again, she was going to look it up. I said N95 once again and so was my other one (which was more comfortable) I took back to the car. How stupid can you get. I thought you had to have some type of education for this job. The whole testing process was very inadequate and was not conducive for a proper examination. Upon my entry to the examination, I was harshly greeted by a woman who was throwing around miscellaneous items on her desk while scoffing constantly. She berated everyone in the waiting room, setting us all up for failure. Though I thoroughly read the instructions prior to arriving and exceedingly tried to comply, I was not an exception to this cruel treatment. I was scolded for having my entrance ticket, which was clearly stated to bring and the woman threatened to remove me from the testing site for having it. In addition there was a window of time where everyone in the room began chanting in all different languages, making it nearly impossible to concentrate and effectively take the test. The overall experience was horrible. I never write reviews, but this place was so unprofessional and offered such an inadequate testing space that I had to try to help others to not go here. read more

I would be very cautious if you are using this prometric testing center for an important or long exam. Recently, about 6 hours into an exam, this location lost power and had no back-up generator for their computers. They waited less than 2 hours before they made everyone leave, which meant we had to restart the exam at a later date. Extenuating circumstances should prompt prometric staff to stay open later in order to allow test takers to finish. They closed early instead. I will certainly never be taking a chance at this testing center again. read more
