best tree lot in Marin plus free mug! huge variety of holiday trees! Thank you, Pronzini

We have been coming here for decades! First when I was a kid with my parents, and now as a "not so much kid!" with my son's family. This place is a great visit for kids and adults - kids can wander, pose with many Christmas props and just pretend they're in a real forest. The adults can wander as well, for you really need to check out all corners of this place for the perfect tree. They have a great variety, a great choice of sizes, and reasonable prices for trees freshly trucked in from Oregon. We went with a Fraser Fir tis year, and it has light green branch tips which really contrast nicely with the deeper blue-green needles of the tree body. For a 9-footer it was $128. More than we usually spend, but it is also taller than we usually get! They have a few locations in Marin, but this is our go-to one. The service is great, and if you need help getting the tree to the check-out there are always helpers; they will also help bring it to your car and secure it with twine, so if you are height challenged, age challenged, upper body strength challenged or just wearing your favorite Christmas sweater that day, no need to worry! They will also fresh cut the bottom for you (to enhance water take-up) and if you don't have a tree stand, they have those for sale or can use a tree spike stand (no water reservoir, though, with that one). And don't forget a bottle of water treatment to help the tree last throughout the season; it really helps. And if you need fresh wreaths, they have a lot of variety for you as well! The day after Thanksgiving was the busiest we've seen it, but beautiful weather and a need for joy early this Christmas season (bah humbug year that it has been!) brought us here a little earlier than usual. It was still a no stress, fun and successful hunt! Barring your going to cut your own fresh tree, this is the next best option. And . . . we got a free mug on the way out this year! What a delightful experience. They have a large selection to choose from and are very friendly. Convenient parking and they have a cute gift shop as well. Not exactly a bargain - we paid $160 for a 10 ft silver tip but thats standard so can't get too upset about that. Give these guys a shot- they are organized- the trees are separated by "types" and you have plenty of room to look around. They don't wrap your tree wi that net anymore so handling it can be tricky as well as not breaking a branch. They will load it for you as well as fresh cut trim!!! Ho ho ho!!! Second year we've come here for a tree. They have a very good selection, reasonable prices and excellent customer service. The line moves pretty quickly and staff know what they're doing. After giving your tree trunk a fresh cut, they can put on your own tree stand if you bring it and you can take home any excess branches for holiday decorations. read more

Mkay time to talk about some 1st world probs. The trees here are about the same you'd get elsewhere, but we had a pretty awful experience. I couldn't find signs or explanations of their process for selecting a tree so I asked a staff member. I don't have the emotional energy to give you all the details of what happened next, but suffice it to say that this staff member goodheartedly gave me the wrong info and I spent the next hour and a half of my life dragging my tree around the lot and waiting in two comically long lines. I have a feeling this place is way more fun when it's not so busy (we went on a Saturday morning), but I wouldn't risk it again. I'm mainly bummed that my toddler, dog, and pregnant wife had to wait in the car while I stood in line(s) -- we were really looking forward to doing this as a family. The long and short of it is, I can't think of a good reason to recommend Pronzini over any of the countless other places you could get a great tree. Merry Christmas! read more

Went to the one at Bon Air shopping center. In & out super quick. Really nice experience with the kids.

I really want to give 5 stars because the customer service we get from basically anyone we've spoken to is amazing. We've been ordering a 10-12 foot tree from Pronzini's for 10 years. Every year the ordering part is easy, and seamless. The tricky part is the delivery. This year particularly, the delivery experience was a nightmare! The tree did not show up on the promised date, when they finally arrived over 24 hours late, the tree that was left was heavily damaged and not the quality we were used to. I immediately called our contact at Pronzini and told them the quality of the tree was unacceptable. We we're promised a new tree right away. After waiting several days, a new tree finally arrived! The tree is gorgeous and everything we could have hoped for. The delivery nightmare makes me rethink using them again next year but I want to have faith that this won't happen again because their trees and customer service just can't be beat! read more

Went there tonight and all the guys were super helpful and we got a great, fresh tree for what is comparable to Home Depot prices. Past years we have always gone to Home Depot and my husband I both agreed that we will definitely be back here to Prozinis next year! read more

My family and I have been getting our trees here since my son was a baby. He is now 11 years old. We got a beautiful tree this year on Wednesday 12/4. Got it home put water in the bucket they put on and it leaked. It leaked all over my floors. Returned to the lot the next evening and spoke with Jason Pronzini and he said he would swing by my house by 8pm that evening. I thought WOW what amazing customer service. Needless to say he didn't show up or call to say he couldn't make it. So I return to the lot today Saturday 12/7 and was told the tree doesn't need water and it should be just fine. So basically I'm SOL!!! Pronzini you just lost a 10+ year customer and will tell everyone I know not to go to your lot! read more

The service was great. Especially since it is Christmas Eve on a Sunday. I needed help with everything since normally my husband does it. My husband has been having issues with his back so I thought it would be best not to push for a tree. Then he tells me at 10 p.m. on the 23rd he misses a tree. Here I am on Christmas Eve on a Sunday looking for a tree as a surprise for him. They really helped me by giving me a review of the different types of trees. Once a picked a type the worker's helped look for a tree even in the ones that had not been put out. I will come back and recommend them to family and friends. extremely hardworking and fast workers. I had a glove on and attempted to grab an 8 foot tree and walked a few feet when two large men approached me and said they'll take it for me to get it processed. no need for gloves for these tough guys. fresh cut and wooden cross with water bucket additional $5 and 5 minutes. another guy tied the tree to our car roof in minutes. quick and awesome. also took us less than 5 minutes to pick out a tree because all the trees were very beautiful, we just needed to find the right height. Have been coming here forever and wish I had gone to another lot I visited a couple years ago. The trees are good., but there's no spirit at this lot...No Christmas music going, nothing to get you in the mood. There are other lots that weave a little magic into the experience. What a disappointment! We went the first weekend they opened but it looked like it had been opened for weeks and nothing good was left! They have old brown wreaths, and terrible trees. The trees are premium prices but look really sad! Most trees you could see the trunk and none were super full. They also don't net the trees before they tie them on your car, so enjoy loosing the few remaining needles on the tree on your drive home. read more

Would not recommend this place if you can avoid it. I had to call them 3 times and they still failed to deliver our Christmas tree on time. Ended up arriving at 9PM and was the WRONG TREE! NO explanation given, but luckily they gave us another one at no additional cost. Still had to go in 2 days later and go through it all again. Ended up calling 3 times that night as well just to get them to show up. Overall, not worth the time nor the stress if other options are available. read more

Wonderful place - great trees, reasonable prices, super nice people. We went to their smaller lot at Bon Air and found a beautiful tree. We were helped by a family friend - so nice to support a local, family-owned business! The tree looks great in our home and is very fresh. They even gave us tips about adding ice cubes and sugar to the water to keep it lasting a long time. We will definitely be back next year! read more
