Welcoming and entertaining, my head still hurts. Was not a fan of the music but I still enjoyed myself.

This guy would pack out Wembley Stadium given the opportunity. The drinks are very reasonably priced. On top of that this has got to be the safest and friendliest nightclub in Sheffield. They are really strict on who they let in. If those security guards even remotely suspect you of thinking of causing trouble then you'll be given your marching orders. The security guards walk around like clockwork. I personally know gay men and women who say its safer in corporation than gay bars.

Let's be perfectly clear, right off the bat: Corporation is disgusting. If you come here in soft…read moreshoes on a weekend, you're going to need to disinfect, bleach, and then BURN THEM, in that order, to avoid your previously fancy footwear dissolving into arcane sludge and then slowly eating through your carpet. Having said that, some of the best nights of my life have been at Corp. I've been going to Resistanz festival every year for the last four, and if I'm in Sheffield for any other reason I inevitably wind up there. Every time, and I do mean every time, I see my friends get obliterated, hook up, and dance like maniacs. There is some strange bayou magic to its foetid bathrooms. Yes, you may lose your kicks, but beyond a shadow of a doubt, the price is worth paying. Incredible bands, fantastic DJs, a friendly clientele, and my favourite accent in all of Yorkshire combined with some of the best alternative music going and cheap drinks. If you're in your stompiest boots (and you should be), what's not to like?

From the outside it's true, it's a touch on the mucky side (perhaps being on top of the city loop road would be a big reason for that) but once you are through those doors the story is a very different one. The entire pub is linked in a circle, revolving around the bar, which makes for a rather quirky and exciting lay out. With shining quirky windows, original stained glass, newly polished woodwork, old school drapes and comfy padded seating this place is an excellent example of a proper cosy pub. There are little nooks all over the place, as well as a comfy well lit main room, and the selection of beverages are pure Sam Smiths. That means a few things. Number one, the cask ale was delightful as was the organic wheat beer. And number two - a round in here is seriously affordable. To top it off the wheat beer is being sold at half price in a promotional offer, that is, £1.34 for a pint. Oh yes, that's right. So, there's no music, plenty of rooms to have a good natter, friendly lovely staff (who talked with us a great deal as we were leaving about the place) and a selection of delicious drinks. Win all round! The only sad thing is that is would be the perfect place for a traditional jam session. I can see those cosy rooms filled with fiddle players, guitarists and cheer in the winter months, but alas, that's not to be. Still, there's no reason that we can't all go along for a pub quiz in its stead, a board game session, or even a bit of a poker match. We can be creative, but let's do it here - the pub's a gem.

They do Happy Hour 7 days a week and on Wednesdays you can enjoy happy hour prices all night. It is one of the most popular bars on the Leeds gay scene and has live entertainment and music every night of the week. Also, a good tip, the custom of OTT aggressive homosexuality is generally scarce compared to some others, and so if you are new to the gay scene, have just come out, and/or are looking for somewhere not too scary then here would be a good choice. If they close too early and you want to carry on the party The New Penny round the corner is open later.

The bridge is predominately a gay bar but that doesn't stop anyone from going there and why should it. It's a funky place to chill out and get the disco boots out in. You've got your usual mix of drinks to aid along that Saturday night fever but it's all about the atmosphere in here. Really friendly and really eclectic. For me it's a great stop off point for a drink or two before moving on to rip up some serious moves elsewhere. Be warned though, anyone with any bigoted views or aversion to anything goes should not even bother going through the door. Spread the love, be happy and enjoy.
