We reached out to Mitey AV looking for a projector and screen for use at my retirement celebration to display a power point show of 92 slides with well over 100 pictures so my guests could see snapshots from throughout my career. Here is the kicker, we called them at 2pm on a Friday; THE DAY BEFORE THE EVENT! Shaun and his team were incredibly helpful with identifying what would support our needs, and their prices were so good, we were actually a little nervous. But nervousness went away as soon as they showed up exactly when they said they would, and were ready to get everything setup for us. I also want to note that they are prepared for contingencies also. The venue we were at wasn't sure they could get power turned on for the side of the room where we needed to set up the projector, which could have been an issue. Mitey AV came ready with extension chords, floor tape, and were ready to run extension chords and tape them down as required to support the event. We did not end up needing it, but it was a big comfort knowing they could have run over 100ft of extension chord to ensure we could do what we planned. Great preparation and service! The setup crew ops checked all the variations we would need for the evening, ensured we had sound support, and even showed us how to restart, focus, and adjust the setup if we had issues in the evening. Their setup included skirting around the AV Cart, so it looked clean and professional. I cannot thank Mitey AV enough, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. That said, Donovan was great to work with. He answered my long questionnaire without complaint and was always a phone call/text/e-mail away. I was planning my wedding from New York, so knowing that he was responsive put me at ease. His website for music selection was impressive and fun to use and he stuck to our selections. We opted for the package that included a photobooth. We were very happy with the booth, photo quality and staff. We also opted for a slideshow to continuously play during our reception, and Donovan made that happen. All we had to do was provide the photos. Unfortunately, I fell under the weather and was not able to attend our party, but Bethany and her team made sure the event went off without one issue. Gwen Events provided everything from the live entertainment (hello fortune-tellers, stilt walkers, mirror men, a DJ, and brass band), to decor (customized street signs, a water fountain and the most gorgeous light up letters). They have a few different "outfits and makeup" they can wear to your event. I opted for more of a demure look and avoided them using white face paint. They arrived in fun costumes and only had their cheeks and noses painted. They bring all of their own supplies and arrive early to setup and be ready st the time agreed upon. Professional but most importantly they are very interactive with attendees. I most appreciated they can not only do face paint but do balloon twisting also!
