Lee Smith Architects/Centaur Construction employed low-grade workers from Craigslist.com and a halfway house to work on our beautiful home. Much of the work done was of poor quality and not to code, in fact, we failed our smoke alarm electrical inspection to mention just one of about 40 issues with regards to electrical and structural repairs, intoxicated and criminally convicted employees, lack of care taken with our home and materials, broken windows, damaged copper trim and a fire that if not stopped by our vigilant neighbors could have burned down our entire house. My husband and I are totally disgusted by his work ethics, ability to organize and low standards. He repeatedly bounced his subcontractor's checks and did not fix the issues we had with his substandard work. We have photographs and written statements by several professionals and four of his own subcontractors to prove and back up our case. He has caused thousands of dollars of damage and billed for work he didn't even start. Please, please, please do not make the mistake we made and let this man near your home, office or business. He had multiple lawsuits against him one of which is ours!! Unfortunately three days before we were supposed to go to court he filed for bankruptcy, so there was no chance of justice being served. Stay away!!

Lee is a deadbeat, non bill paying SOB. He didn't pay the contractor so in turn I never received…read morepayment. The problem was he hired this Knuckle head I had to work for just to keep bringing in some income. The Contractor thought it was fine to start at 10 or 11 am and cut out early, then always wanting a check to keep the job moving forward. I have to question Lee's thought process in hiring a total slacker. On top of that, Lee needs to be medicated. He lost his mind multiple times on the job like I have never seen in almost thirty years of being in the business. Stay away from this jack-ss.
