Went to the apartment office and told them about the roaches in my stove in my refrigerator and I have told them somebody tried to come into my apartment. Update: Called the landlord a while ago, sounded beyond wasted and pretended to NOT be the landlord. Interesting Tuesday night to say the least. Didn't care about the mold or the raccoons either. Have been having asthma attacks as well. This is probably the worst company that exists on planet earth. William a.k.a. Pick literally anyone else Hearing alot of awful stuff about this company in the reviews all around the time i lived there, and moved out (on this website.) Hopefully a review journal or something picks this up but I dont think anyone at this company cares about "People" Laundry sucked always smelt bad/weird, apartment smelled like mold, shower floor would always turn red/orange, and about 2 months before i moved out I asked for the laundry machine to be checked out or to be recompensated for trying to use the machine. They literally did not care and for a month until I moved out I was unable to use the machine and wasted $ just assuming they fixed it like people that keep their word. I got fortunate enough to be housed by them, but was constantly asked if I had a cat. So I am assuming this is why my apartment was inspected. The company phrased this as the "downstairs bathroom flooding" which maybe was true? Happened way too often, at least 5 times while I lived there they sent a "repairman" who at one point rushed into a room that I was in. Made me feel unsafe, and angry that PMC would send someone weird like that. Anyways, They also asked me if I had done anything to cause the flooding multiple times. So Rude, So, Unprofessional, not kind. I also worked with a property supervisor or something who would not give me the time of day conversationally and even after I moved out , they asked if a TV was mine. Even after I left all my stuff by the garbage outside, and even donated a NEW AC to the veterans hall to the place across the street. All in all, I got diagnosed with PTSD there and had little to no care from anyone up the food chain except Mel, and 2 others who no longer work there. Im sure this will cause trouble or maybe they will fine me or say the review was inappropriate instead of owning up to their mistakes. Sounds like the type of company, right? Also on my lease it said I was owed a parking space but when I asked them even for a day to use someone else's due to living on the third floor. I needed help moving all my things and stated it really was just me doing the moving and asked for some patience. The responses from the lackey they sent over were devoid of patience even though I had done my best to communicate with them even with a writing disability. Anything that I add is redundant of what has already been said. As a condo owner these guys are the worst. Property manager is rude & condescending to owners & board. Have been personally yelled at by the fellow. When brought to the attention of the office, nothing is addressed. The services they contract are awful & questionable. Our grounds have degraded significantly since they were brought on. I witness vendors climb ladders & step onto a 1" railing to get on to the balconies for repair work. Snow removal is always a battle - no respect for parking spaces if unoccupied. Any repairs the condo association is responsible for is either ignored or slow walked. Customer service & expediency are definitely not a part of their company culture. A simple illustration of how they operate. Update their website where they collect fees. Site goes down first day of the month, they send emails out at 2:41 pm that day to alert their clients they won't be able to pay online. Rather than provide the information ahead of time - because updating a website is always a surprise to the owner of said website - they wait until the afternoon to address. And then you have to call them so that you can register at the new site. Again, information that could have been transmitted to the customers ahead of time. I highly encourage anyone considering this company to review references & look elsewhere. I would say this may be the driving force for me to finally join the board... termination or accountability would be the result. read more

One star is being EXTREMELY generous. If you like having your on-site managers speak no English, monopolize the laundry 24/7 and over water lawn and flowers, and voice your concerns to the home office, only to be told "if you think there was a mistake made, it was yours. They don't make mistakes." this is the management co. for you. If you've lived with non-working doorbells for years and half of the mail boxes don't lock, this is the management co. for you. Months of phone calls and notes with rent go unanswered, but if you're a day late with the rent, they charge you a $100 late fee. The owner chose to switch from gas water heat to electric water heat with no prior notice to tenants. Each of our utility bills went up by about $50 per month. Things like grills and gardening supplies started disappearing from garage units after the owner gave the pass code to his non-English speaking employees. The manager also takes the master keys and uses the laundry facilities in the next building. That building, unlike the one in which she resides, has "free" washers and dryers. Perennials planted by tenants to beautify the property were dug up by the workers. I understand they are the property of the new owner, but for him not to offer a few plants to those who planted and maintained them for years spoke volumes to me. The owner treats the tenants like collateral damage and gives free rein to his non-English speaking workers.Tenants aren't allowed pets, but the owner drops off his dog and lets the on-site managers "pet-sit," but they fail to clean up after the beloved creature. Even though it's not mentioned in the lease, when you give notice, they send you a letter stating you must be out by noon on the last day of your lease. In short, I lived in the same place for almost 18 years when PMC bought the property. From day one, there were issues. Almost a $100 monthly rent increase with no improvements. We were no longer welcome in the workroom, laundry and backyard. They "belong" to the on-site managers, who took the liberty of moving personal items of tenants without notifying us and ignoring the fire code by decorating the hallways. Couldn't wait to get out of there, even though I loved the apartment and neighborhood. As other reviewers stated, if there was a negative rating, they would get it. Unless you are desperate for a place, do not rent from this establishment. In my 30 plus years of renting, I never had the negative, stressful experiences I've had with landlords until PMC bought the building. STAY AWAY! read more

Just moved into a beautiful new place in Milwaukee and was delighted that the enormous deck we have was going to be repaired/replaced... we were given 12 hours notice, shifted our work schedules and 3 weeks ago an outstanding contractor and his team came to remove the previous deck and replace it. After taking apart the top of the deck they realized how warped, rotted, and unsafe the decks foundation is. The contractor called the HOA to approve the cost to replace/repair it safely, it's been 3 weeks without any kind of update. We were able to get a phone number for Prosperity Management and called to see what the project timeline is... we've been hung up on repeatedly, told they need to source and review new bids from different contractors (makes total sense but an update would have been decent), and told that we are not their problem since we rent and don't actually own the apartment. We're left with no resolution, a 300sqft space of rotted wood, numerous visible rusty nails, and still no semblance of a timeframe for the projects completion. With no concern for our safety or displacement, Milwaukee has very short summers where this space is actually useable, a little kindness and understanding would have gone a long way. As I look out at the shoddy job they did on our patio, I am incredibly disappointed, particularly with our rather steep HOA fees. I came from a town home where we were self managed with a board and I'm telling you it was soooo much better, our fees were lower and we had a pool and they took care of things in a timely fashion. We waited for months to have our issue which was a humongous bush on our patio that prevented us from using it. They finally addressed it in September, over three months after we brought it to their attention and then they only cut it, leaving the stump and again a huge usable area. We asked if they were going to complete the job and they never responded. They came and dumped mulch so now it's a large mound. It's ridiculous and they should be embarrassed how they care for their properties. I will be a vocal advocate to get rid of them as a management company. read more

Gosh, I wish Jessica's experience was shared with others! The December 9" storm was nothing in the realm of Wisconsin winters. Our property was never touched until well after noon the next day. Car after car had to be dug out of the courtyard. Then the apron had to be cleared. When called, the response given "We have 24 hours from when it stops snowing." Really? That's not what's in my condo bylaws. But that didn't matter. The line was repeated back to me multiple times. It was kind of like I really didn't exist if she kept saying it. Our condo association contracted with them around three years ago. We were introduced to them through a very excitable letter promising all sorts of wonderful, neighborly things. A meeting to get to know the company, what the needs are, future of the neighborhood, etc. Think it happened? Not a chance. We have issues, but PMC doesn't seem to be helping the matter. Some of this can be forgiven. But let's face it, if you're game to do snow removal, you gotta have balls. It's tough as heck and you don't stop until the jobs are done. Spoken from experience. The agents could be less rude and a little more human. They are very "botty" which is off-putting. They hold a little annual slap on the back conference to engage current and potential clients. They aren't rude. I've talked with them in person. I know they're human. Additionally, I heard the same stories around the tables - "they tend to be rude, you just have to get the right agent." Maybe it's a bad combination, but I have seen the overall services decline in the years. It's sad, because I was really jazzed when they took over. I wish I still was......... read more

Prospect Management is a terrible condo management company. They care nothing for the residents and are concerned only with maintaining and increasing Prospect Management's profit. It has been unclear since we moved on what our dues are paying for (except asphalt) and yet dues have been raised almost every year since we moved in. Right after we moved in we had a break in the roof leading to massive flooding in our laundry room. Despite an agreement saying that the Company is responsible for outdoor repairs and upkeep, we were told we were responsible for the costs of repairing the damage to our laundry room. (Pretty clever argument, eh?) This year we had a break in a water line that led to extensive water damage both to our and our neighbor's condo. The company that repaired the pipe said that our pipes were cheap and of poor quality and that they were constantly doing repairs on these types of pipes. This spring and summer, the company replaced much of the roofing on all the building. We were never advised that the roof repairs would cost owners; now after the work is done, each unit has received a bill of more than $3,000. This despite our "agreement" that outdoor repairs are the company's responsibility. read more

I wish a rating of zero stars were possible. I have been renovating my father's condo for the last six months after his passing. As such, I need an on-site contact to do things like shut off the water main (which is foolishly located inside one of the units with zero access without the homeowner). As they will not give me a contact name and phone number so I can reach out somebody in real time, I am forced to send all requests via email. Most recently I had to wait for a response for two and a half days after asking for the water to be turned back on, only to be told to have my father contact his neighbor for access to the water valve. Am I supposed to have him do so from the great beyond? I also was being given notices of pending fines for items that pre-dated my father's purchase of the condo. If it was okay at the time of the purchase, why was it deemed fineable now? Complete and total incompetence at every turn. Given the amount of seniors that live in my dad's complex, I am sickened that they would be left without any support system. read more

I applied for a apartment with this company and their customer service was absolutely atrocious. First, I was extremely upfront about everything upon signing the application. The agent Teresa, told me I would have no issues and encouraged me to cancel my other viewings. I was denied for the apartment, because I filed for a extension on my taxes and didn't have that years returns, which is perfectly in my right as a American. That is not the issue though. My issue is that I had to literally track Teresa down to find out that I was not approved. No phone call to me, nothing. Secondly, Teresa told me that her supervisor would be calling me immediately to discuss this. Her supervisor never called. Overall, just a very negative experience that ended up putting me in a tough bind right before school started. I would never even consider renting from this company again. read more

They attempt to lock you into a new lease with unfair rates and they don't respond to any concerns. The properties have pest control issues, poor plumbing, poor heating and poor management. Worst property managers I have ever had!! They keep adding on late fees to our rent every month, even though we pay WELL before it is due. They don't like to follow the WI 5 day grace period law and will tack on $100 even if you pay on the due date. They sent us eviction papers because their system messed up and charged us rent twice in one month. Our dryer was broken for over a year (which meant we had to pay more a month in electric to dry our clothes in 2 cycles), our drawers were broken for almost a year and a half (which I had to fix myself), and our screen in our living room window has been broken all summer (we have a cat and she gets out if we leave our window open for any period of time, I also fixed myself). They came to fix everything, but everything was still broken after they left, seems like they didn't even come!! Our dryer vent needed to be re-done because it was a fire hazard, and they said it cost too much money so they half-assed it, which is definitely illegal. They never get back to you for anything, and if you have an emergency, GOOD LUCK! They rarely mow the lawn, they rarely plow or shovel, and assigned parking is a joke. We have neighbors who park on the grass and drive their cars on the grass to their door to unload groceries, yet we get a notice on our door if we park a car in the visitors parking for more than a day. These same neighbors also have like 7 vehicles and use the handicap parking stall every single day. What if somebody else who was handicapped needed to park there?! Our shower has mold growing out of it and has cracks in the bottom and they refuse to do anything about it. Ridiculous! Definitely cannot wait to get out of this place!!! read more

I would not recommend this management company to anyone. Their service, save for their lovely office manager, terri, is deplorable. How bad is it? I registered for Yelp just so i could write a review letting you know. You would think when you pay $125/month for a parking spot you would get some sort of service. Low and behold, they don't do what they were contractually obligated too, they don't call you back and they don't fix any of your problems. All i wanted was a parking space. instead, i got a broken garage door with limited access and headache after headache trying to get someone to call. send your money elsewhere! Hands down the worst place I have ever rented from. They came into my apartment without notice on multiple occasions. The last time (that I know of) I was missing $300 cash. My door was locked and the only other person who had a key was with me out of town that weekend. I tried to talk to the apartment manager about it and he refused to respond to me. This company is very professional, until you become their tenant. They will answer your every single question and phone call promptly if you are a prospective tenant at the apartment managed by them. Very professional indeed. Until you actually become a tenant and then they don't get back to your request for more than a month or not at all ! Furthermore, when you are moving out, they will charge you for the damages that have been there at the very beginning! And their final inspection is useless, because their report is entirely different from what they marked down when they went over the apartment with you!
