I am a regular customer at this Johnstone location. This store is tucked away off of St. Johns Pkwy…read morein an commercial warehouse area of Sanford. Most would not know it's here unless they are specifically looking for the store or just happen to be at another business in the general area. Staff here are very friendly and personable. The store is stocked with just about anything an HVAC professional needs, what they don't have they can usually get it next day via one of their other locations. This store also carries a good supply of Klein hand tools which I prefer. The store is kept immaculatly clean, their inventory is organized, and shelves are stocked. Pricing is competitive with items I can find online but many times I come to Johnstone versus purchasing online because staff does a great job cross referencing my old parts with new stock. On my most recent visit here I needed several replacement heater restring kits for a HUV unit that supply's fresh air to our kitchen. I needed three to complete the job and bought their last one as a backup should one fail in the future. I also ordered 10 more that should arrive mid April since we use these restring kits on other equipment in the building. The heater is back in service and working as it should, hopefully we will get another 30+ years with the newer kits, only time will tell. Johnstone doesn't sell HVAC equipment or parts to the general public but I believe they will sell hand tools, mastic, Panduit straps, and other miscellaneous items non-accout holders (you might want to call to check before heading over there though). All-in all, I've always received great service from Johnstone and recommend them for all your HVAC needs.

As far as I know there are only two HVAC distributors in Sanford, so you have an few options if you want to save yourself a drive to either Orlando or Daytona Beach.

I started picking out my pvc and other parts and came to a stand still. Craig came by and asked if I needed any help and I, of course, said yes. Well he didn't just help he all but built it for me. He laid it out on the ground and explained every part and what should go where. He didn't leave anything for me to question. It was the best time I've had in Lowe's and I really enjoyed it before without the incredible customer service. I walked away with a smile and a reminder as to why this is the only big home improvement store I go to. Thank you Craig. Also want to give a big Thank you to Julia for helping me get them in my car without getting wet. It was pouring .

Doors locked so walked to main entrance and proceeded to load the above without help. Went to cashier located at lumber entrance and no cashier open and doors still locked. I was told I would have to push my purchase to the main exit to pay and then push back across the parking lot to get to my truck. Told an employee I wasn't willing to do that as an extreme inconvenience. He recommended I go to Home Depot. I can assure you I will and no longer shop at Lowes.

Not sure what the other one was doing. Initially, I waited with one customer in front of me. We were not helped for some time. Then more customers came and the line was out the door. Still no one was being helped. I could hear customers asking each other what was going on? Finally, I got a person to serve me. He told me he was new and didn't know what he was doing. Boy, was he right! He didn't know how to do the pickup and did it wrong. Another employee helped but told him the wrong last step. I went outside to the Lockers. The code he gave me didn't work. Yes, you guessed it. I had to go back inside but I didn't wait at the end of the line. I went by the register and waited until he was done with a customer. I explained that the code was not working. He called a supervisor to help. It turns out that the locker was locked and would not release the item because he pressed the "release " button. Here we go... The supervisor along with a tall employee had to manually release the whole row of Lockers to get my item out. It was quite a spectacle. This whole ordeal took about 30 minutes. Needless to say I'm not using store pickup again. I'll just choose curbside pickup instead. The lack of customer service, while lines are out the door and ill trained employees, makes the Home Depot experience frustrating and less than desirable.
