In addition to violating the whistleblower protection provisions in the canons, Sven stated that the diocese would not address allegations that Malm committed perjury by lying under oath unless there was a criminal conviction. The notion that Episcopal clergy are not accountable for their conduct unless there is a criminal conviction is shocking and appalling, and suggests a serious lack of good judgment. In addition, Sven's letter falsely stated that I am required to maintain confidentiality regarding the matter, which is certainly not accurate. I have appealed the decision, but have little hope that the diocese will take the matter seriously. In the meantime, I believe that this lack of organizational and ethical integrity reflects badly both on the parish, and on the church as a whole. Very troubling. I am, however, giving the parish the benefit of the doubt and rating it as two stars, as I have not worshipped there.

Stop by the visitor's center for admission and information about this mansions previous grandeur and storied history.
