We used to love having brunch here but our last visit was such a buzz kill. the pink haired cashier was not just unfriendly, it was like they were intentional acting bothered when we ordered. i wouldn't even just say no personality, like a level below that lol! i don't accept this as a " gen Z" thing, y'all get it together for basic customer service, especially when your establishment is already pricey. Three of us stopped in for a quick bite. I've always loved this market space, the vibe, offerings and staff are top notch. We had a turkey sandwich and three small side salads between us (beet, garbanzo and chicken salad) with a bag of chips. They had gorgeous and plentiful baked goods mid afternoon, coffee, canned ciders and beer, canned soda and three wines by the glass that I noticed plus two soups. Lots of gift-able items and vegetarian offerings, but vegan options were pretty limited. TBH it feels a bit overpriced for counter service, but location location location. I come in here often with my husband. It's a fun and neat place to browse. I've never eaten here, so I have no opinion on the food. I always go for the kitchen utensils, cookbooks, and gifts. It's an excellent place to find neat and different Christmas gifts. Customer service is always great. Employees are kind, friendly, and helpful. Even when I have to ask about something I walked by 4 times and just didn't see. They'll happily point it out for me. Would I return? Absolutely. I like that this place is cozy and in the middle of a cute market. There was water cups and cool metal, but recylable forks/spoons, and bathrooms nearby. A pretty convenient place with parking. Service was pretty fast. A friend that was with us got a hot chocolate that took a little longer than expected though. The food was solid, but nothing really special. The ambiance is a bit noisy even with a half-full dining room partially due to the hard surfaces throughout and the open cafe and kitchen. I've been here twice with my wife and it was hard to hear the conversation with our small group at our table ten to fifteen feet away from the action. The service was not consistent. I ordered a pastry, I was asked if I wanted it to be warmed before receiving it, I accepted, and then it never happened until I talked to a different employee. I like the menu and offerings well enough to try again but I hope it is a better experience. read more

Restrooms are located not too far away from the tables and are indicated with a sign; there are both high and low tables to choose from. The counter on the left of where you order has utensils, water/water cups, and lids for ordered drinks. They also have a used utensils and trash collection area. After placing our order, we were given a sign to take to our table. Staff members were friendly, but food took a while before it arrived. What was ordered: - Quiche Lorraine (flaky and soft. Flavorful) - Hot Jasmine Tea (floral and super hot; same price for all cup sizes) Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. This was a nice little place to grab a bite to eat. We stumbled upon this marketplace during a visit to Eugene. This was probably our favorite find. It has a ton of charm and lots of fun stuff to look at while waiting for your delicious food. The store has gourmet artisan foods, stationery, cute home goods, flowers, and all sorts of goodies! The parma sandwich was scrumptious. The focaccia had a crisp exterior and fluffy interior. It was so good we went back for the same sandwich to go the next day. The pizza was superb as well. Service was good. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you. I've made multiple trips to provisions and each time I hope it'll make up for the last visit. It never does. I'm convinced it never will. I'm a sucker for consumerism like anyone else that shops here. A 6.00 cookie has to be better for than a 2 dollar one right? I'm willing to pay the pretentious tax. But this is out of hand. What was the final straw you ask? Well im glad you asked. An ice cold eclair. I love baked goods. Like I love baked goods. More than almost anything.and if you charge me that much money for an eclair, I'm just asking that it be better than Dunkin' Donuts. It wasn't. It was cold, like the crème filling was hard. Why? You make them! You make them here? I bet refrigerator technology has advanced so much that things chill quicker than ever before in history. But this was ridiculous and it was an insult to anyone else who has ever made or sold an eclair. The Safeway bakery now can boast that their eclairs are better than yours. Doesn't that hurt your pride? Don't you want to just hang your head in shame knowing that Albertsons makes better baked goods than you? It should. I love Provisions! Usually I stop by for coffee (or a cream puff because their cream puffs are scientifically proven to be the best in the entire world??) but today I stopped for lunch. I ordered the "Beggar's Banquet" which is a cup of the soup of the day, a baguette, a generous serving of Brie and some fresh fruit. Every piece of fruit on my plate the ideal ripeness. The soup was good too, loaded with veggies/beans/etc. The Brie though was the star of the show for me. I'm not sure my picture does it justice but it's a huge slice, enough to spread on the bread, the apples, and just eat a couple of forks full of Brie. Very creamy, lacking the ammonia taste that some Brie has that I KNOW some people covet but this lady does not. Would definitely order this again! When I was done eating, I took a walk around the market that's attached which always has unique items. This is the place I go to if I need a gift quick because there's something for everyone. This feels like a little slice of France in Eugene! I am here for a wedding this weekend and am loving this 5th street market area. Provisions has to be my absolute fav! There is so many great local brands to shop for, various grocery items, and then a cafe. Today, I placed a takeout order. I got the quiche of the day (mushroom and feta) with a side Caesar salad ($4 up charge), an iced latte, and a mint chocolate macaron. Everything was top notch and the portions were perfect for a quick lunch. The crust on the quiche was flaky and buttery and it didn't even need salt or pepper because it was that flavorful. The salad was a good size for a side salad and tasted great. To finish it all off, I loved the macaron! I've never had a mint flavor macaron before, and I thought it was great! Definitely a must get if you like peppermint patties. The latte also was good! I am looking forward to coming back for breakfast tomorrow! The location at 5th Street Market is perfect since it's central to a lot of other wonderful shops and restaurants. You order at the counter, staff will give you a number and then bring the food to your table once it's ready. Staff is usually friendly and I like how quick the ordering process is. To start we ordered the Tuna Melt, a slice of Pepperoni Pizza, French Onion Soup and side salads. The food came out fairly quickly and tasted good. The best item was definitely the soup, especially on a colder gloomy Eugene day. For dessert we got their Cheesecake, Key Lime Pie, and Carrot Cake. They all had a great flavor profiles and texture. I like the size of their desserts and they don't run on the super sweet side so you can try a few without it feeling overwhelming. After eating I like to head over to the storefront side to purchase wine. They have an amazing wine selection with ranges to fit all budgets! They also have tons of home goodies to explore. I came in today and picked up three pastries, an eclair, a slice of German chocolate cake and an almond muffin. While I do love their offerings in several areas they are very limited in the depth of their products. Their products can be a bit spendy in some areas but the selection of their items are Oregon based for the most part. Provisions goes out and they find all these products independently so you don't have to ! So you will pay a bit more but hey the increase is minimal so grab all that grabs you! Why I offered up a 3 star is 2 fold....customer service and quality control...we went in to specifically pick up their in house made duck terrine and a baguette (because I was being lazy not to grab bread at another local bakery) but hey...and I stood at the deli while 4 then 3 then finally 2 employees were chopping, chatting and prepping etc and after maybe 5 minutes they finally looked up tto say we will be right with you. I am happy to wait but acknowledgment was only courteous. If so, go up one level to the Food Court where there are several excellent "fast food" places to order from and sit. I ordered a lamb and beef gyro and it was excellent ($7, a steal). Several spots/lots around for free parking for 3 hrs, but the streets are metered! read more

ALL the things to eat and all the things to buy and browse - truly one of my favorite businesses in the Eugene area. First, the food options. We went for breakfast and baked goods and coffee. Each bite was happiness and we ordered way too much and ate it all. Notable: Whatever the muffin creation is of the day (ours was orange ginger and DAMN, that thing was memorable!) and the avocado toast. This was not my first time to Provisions - not by far! When I used to travel to Eugene a couple times I would always stay at Inn at the 5th just across the street and Provisions would always be my first stop to stock up my room with goodies! Gosh, I can't wait till those days return. My mental list of things to get when that day comes includes their delicious pizzas, the Croque Bebe, the bread pudding and all the lattes I can drink. Should you be in the mood, plenty of cheese and other accoutrements exist for takeaway on the retail side. I say eat all you can and then take all you can to go! Adorable gifts, gadgets and beauty items grace the market side and I did a significant amount of my holiday shopping here this year. I loved walking around the provisions market, all of the food items looked good quality and all local. Feels like other upscale places I've been to on the east coast, and I like that. Most of the food stations are run by Provisions, including a quiche/sandwich vendor, pizza, and coffee shop and bakery. I had a small, round, individual-sized quiche of the day - which was good, but slightly soggy in the middle. The loaf of rosemary bread I bought was wonderful, although none of the cheeses at the cheese/cold cut/fish counter struck my fancy. Oh, there's ice cream here too.
