HORRIBLE experience with Michelle the Administrator for the Rehab, and Nisha, the Social…read moreWorker...neither of whom, give a DAMN about the humans they claim to care for, nor their families. My mother went there for rehab (after HEART surgery.) They could not WAIT to get her out, bc Medicaid was paying it, and wouldn't after a certain amount of time. When the MONEY runs out, you are put to the curb. I had a Administrator at a Asst Living facility, tell me, they put one patient out on the curb recently, leaving them homeless. Not a joke! We were told, when she came there, it'd be 36 DAYS. Five days in to it, we are told, "She met all our goals, and is ready to be discharged"! I WAS STUNNED. My mother was already WHEELCHAIR bound before the heart attack and surgery. There was NO WAY she was "ready to be discharged". In addition, her home is compromised, a very unsafe environment. Nisha could not care less. Mom HAD to go...period. After a CRAZY two days of trying to PIECE together a plan, I go to pick her up, and they RELEASE her to another person, and she is gone by the time I arrive...a 90 MINUTE TRIP EACH WAY. I was F'ing LIVID. "You RELEASE her to another person, who is the reason the home is COMPROMISED, and you LET ME travel the 90 minutes for NO REASON?" The Administrator (Michelle) and Social Worker (Nisha) are ATROCIOUS. It was absolutely CLEAR, neither care at ALL...they simply want the bed filled with PAYING CUSTOMERS. Whether YOUR family member is healed or healthy or SAFE...is completely irrelevant to their goals. I am warning you...if you are reading this, and you take someone there? You deserve whatever you get, because you are a FOOL. NEVER again.
