Just wanted to take a moment to share something about the GSDs I've added to my family. I usually stay away from making any recommendations but this is done because my first GSD was the best ever and I guess I've had 15-20 GSDs and PSD has finally met my expectations and they know what they are doing. A big shout out to Cindi and Jaime Gascon and their wonderful Kennels, Training facilities, and on-site hotel for those that want to attend their many retreats or clinics. PSD Kennels are the best in producing high quality dogs that can be trained to meet your special or general situation. The will match the proper GSD or Mali to fit in your family. I've had several GSDs over my four decades of owning this great breed and the ones at PSD won't disappoint. When they tell you their dogs are trained (exposed) to children, guns, and fireworks, they mean it. My Blu stays right at my side when I go to the creek to shoot my guns and doesn't care about fireworks or thunderstorms. It great to have you furry friends sit beside you and doesn't run off if life gets a little dicey. Plus, they offer several different types of programs to help you take you pup any direction you intend on achieving. I can't wait to attend one of their retreats where they not only correct your dog (and I mean any dog) and the owner. When you start off with a great pup... you end up with a family member that doubles as a bodyguard!!! We got Sasha from PSD kennels when she was 8 weeks old. The process was easy. Having such a fine dog I wanted her professionally trained and so at 13 weeks I brought her back for obedience school. I just got Sasha back yesterday and the experience has been great. Cindi has been only a text message or call away. I met Cindi's husband Jamie and he is very knowledgeable and knows just what your dog needs to meet your expectations in training. Sasha had fun working with Kandice, her trainer for almost 3 weeks. So far so good my baby is about 5 months & so so loving. I have a small zoo a cat and parrot and other dog, they don't even phase her. She doesn't pick on them or anything. I got her when she was about 9-10 weeks from Psd I went rub them based on a friends recommendation. Well, Mrs Cindi always answers my calls & text even with in a 24 hour period. My dog has grown so so so fast, it's like blink she is about 5 months today and about 40 pounds in the least. Affectionate, loyal, good temperament, intelligent. Great watch dog, great family dog. We got Duke as part working dog, part protection dog, and part family dog. He is only six months old and already exceeds expectations on all fronts. Duke enjoys long days running around the farm and although it took some time, he works side by side with our border collie running farm chores. He doesn't chase animals or wander - he stays close. He is an excellent watch dog, has great instinct and is extremely trainable. Lastly, to those he likes, he is incredibly affectionate, sweet and totally lovable. Duke is even great with our cats. All in all, Cindy and co delivered a really great dog! Logistics were challenging at times as we opted to have Duke delivered to us since we were more than a days drive away. We first found PSD Kennels back in Dec 2018 and fell in love with this little girl. The process was scary and Cindi Gascon assured us the pick was a great dog and we would enjoy the process as well as find a forever friend. We waited the time for Bella Ann to reach 8 weeks old and had also asked to put her in Level 1 obedience training. This took additional time and it was well worth it. Bella Ann arrived last night and it was an instant bond. Since she arrived, this little girl has given us love and affection. PSD kennels in Poplarville Mississippi is awful. These people are not reputable breeders, animal advocates or expert trainers. They are a back-yard breeder in a State with some of the weakest animal cruelty laws in the country. Don't be fooled by their website with fancy police dog pictures and smiling faces, anyone can create a convincing website and say what they want you to believe. PSD kennels have done just that, created a convincing illusion. These people are despicable. The focus at PSD is obviously MONEY. Puppies are apparently a disposable commodity. If you do the math, each litter fetches them a hefty $12,000-$25,000. Even more if you pay for their "training". Times that by 6 litters a year and you've got a lucrative, unregulated, puppy mill operation flying under the radar in good ole Mississippi. Most Google reviews appear to be done by locals and one is done by the owner herself-However, if you dig deep enough on line, you'll find authentic reviews that expose this operation. We purchased a Belgian puppy for $1875 from them as a family pet. I've been a responsible, loving dog owner my entire life. In my family, a dog is an extended member. A sentient being. Reputable breeders and rescue shelters recognize the privilege of raising and placing a puppy, requiring would be owners to complete questionnaires, applications and provide references. PSD kennels asked me ZERO questions about the home environment, my dog owning experience, my yard, members of my house, other pets, lifestyle etc. They didn't ask because they don't care- all Cindi wanted to know was where to send the invoice. She required immediate full payment up front -no deposits allowed. (in hindsight, a major red flag). I made repeated attempts to get the pup's papers, PSD kept stalling, lying and in the end, never produced any AKC or other papers to show pedigree history. (another red flag). PSD was not listed or endorsed on AKC, national or international breed accredited organizations that I could find. ( you got it, Red flag) Upon arrival, my pup was extremely fearful of everything and everyone- Not typical of a normal puppy at all. Days later, he began showing signs of severe aggression; lunging and biting unprovoked, growling and snapping at strangers. I took him to a vet, who's been practicing for 27 years, she said there was something "very off" about the puppy and recommended we contact a behavioral expert with experience working with aggressive behavior. The vet recommended we contact the breeder and let them know what was going on. When I contacted PSD kennels, Cindi said we weren't "reading" him right. She downplayed the vet's comments and the pup's aggression as though it were normal and we were crazy. She got nasty, defensive and said "you never wanted a puppy to begin with". Right there, her true colors came out and I knew I was dealing with an unprofessional, irresponsible, fraud. In the end I invested plenty more $$$'s with a certified behavioral expert, veterinary medical assessment and K-9 handler. He was a product of money hungry exploiters who misrepresented the breed, did not socialize him properly nor did they use positive early training methods that are critical to healthy development. We were told he could never be a family dog and that he was a "loaded gun". More important than the money we lost, we adored our little guy and the entire ordeal was heartbreaking to go through. In my opinion, if you're seeking a military, police, sport or family dog, don't use PSD kennels- there are good breeders who carefully place their puppies and respect breeding protocol- do your research, take your time, read reviews. Don't be fooled by glossy websites. Visit the facility if you can-Make sure they're accredited & endorsed by a reputable breeding organization. If they're not asking tons of questions, go elsewhere, I wish I had. Please share far and wide with all of your pet loving friends and family. read more

Drove 3 hours round trip on Monday to see puppies. Puppies looked good. At 4 p.m. when we left there were at least 6 or 7 puppies. Neither parents were anywhere to be found. Asked for copies of lineage papers and hip records for parents along with pictures of parents. Cindi said she would text all the info that afternoon. Never received the info, so text again Monday night about 8:30. Never received any response. Text again Tuesday morning asking for the same info. Cindi stated she was working on the horse side of the business that day and she would get the info to us later that day. Never heard anything, so we text Cindi again around 5:30 Tuesday afternoon and Cindi responded that she didn't think she had any of that litter left. Seems like if you are in that business, you would have that type of info available. If not you should be a little more upfront and say you don't have the info. You would think they could provide pictures of the parents...............wasted 3 hours! Seem very shady. read more

Extremely intelligent, high drive, obedient and a loyal protection dog! I sent her to 2 additional courses ran by PSD and she came back looking like a champion! I can't say enough great things about Mrs Cindi, Mr. Jaime, & PSD Kennels. If you are contemplating on getting a Malinois but have reservations bc of the reputation they have I know it's long but please read all the way through!! I have always had small dogs growing up. After loosing Molly (our English Bulldog) a few months ago I told my husband I wanted our next dog to be big. We looked into Bullmastiffs, Labs, Golden Retrievers, then I came across psdkennels.com just searching on the web. I immediately fell in love with the Malinois. I talked to my husband he said do more research & I'll think about it. I immediately texted Mrs Cindi. She was so amazing & helpful with any question I had. Reading up on the breed everything that popped up was how vicious they are, shedding, not family dogs, very aggressive. So of course I immediately became worried with having two boys myself. Mrs Cindi was very helpful in explaining the exact kind of dogs they were. Just like any other dog these take time & commitment but they are very loyal. The boys & I went look at the puppies from a new litter she had. We fell in love with the girl. I spoke with Mrs Cindi about putting her back in obedience training when she turned 12 weeks. We went pick her up about 2 weeks later. She adapted to the house, kids, & cat so well. The first question I always received was why did you pick a Malinois. My response was their gorgeous. lol We had Mila home for about 4 weeks until she would be going back. She was an average puppy. She loved to play, chew, bark, run around, etc. She also had a very strong bite poor baby that she wasn't aware of. lol My oldest son is very active. So when him & Mila played she didn't realize when it was time to stop so she would bite him to continue playing. I called Mr Jaime & he explained what to do. Now let me also explain & stress that it was not only Mila. My son would antagonize her then get mad when she wouldn't stop & fuss at her. I had to also teach my son how to react & let her know when he had enough. Like I have said I have had numerous dogs growing up. I can not say enough praise how fast she picked up on the signals & calmed down with him. Now to say Mila is spoiled is an understatement!! She loved to be loved & with me all day. She would whine if she was out of my sight. We went see Mila last Sat. She had been at training since the Tues. I can not express how shocked I was when we got there. Her demeanor was amazing. She was so chill & content playing with her toy. She did not whine one bit when we wouldn't pay attention to her. I was blown away with what they had accomplished with her in just 5 days. I purchased a pup from PSD Kennels 2 weeks ago. The owner was very descriptive with the parentage of the pup I was choosing . Could tell me about the accolades of the parents of the pup I chose. They have gone to great lengths to bring in bloodlines that are building up the breed in this country. They are knowledgeable about the strengths and weaknesses of their dogs and have a good idea about what the pups will excel at once they are put into training and in service. That said I train service and working dogs and I know what I'm getting into. I am very impressed by this girl. As for responsiveness, She shipped her out that friday and she arrived a very happy healthy puppy. ( hows that for service!) So far she is showing outstanding promise in obedience and agility. This breeder advertises that their dogs are family dogs that are super socialized, gets along well with others all while selling a high drive working line dog that is bred for severe aggression. I would caution before purchasing, I have had similar experience as others on this review. After owning multiple GSDs, I purchased one I hand picked from their litter and was told they were very well socialized. Upon arriving home my puppy begin to change and show aggression at 10 weeks of age - as a puppy?? I took her to the vet and was told she was mentally unstable. I enrolled her in puppy socialization classes and found some of the best trainers around. After spending a few thousand on training (and this is no exaggeration on a already pricey dog), I was told the dog is mentality unstable and should be put down. I used 4 different trainers with the same results to even include a board an train. The board and train sent her home after 3 days and these people specialized in turning around aggression. The dog was great with me and did listen but became a danger to the public (And all control was lost at the sight of anyone). I live in a city and residential area so walking her had to stop due to the fear she would maul someone. I took her to the park and everyone with me from day one and exposed her to people and other dogs until the situation escalated where I had to become a hermit in my own home. My vet had told me they could no longer see my dog due to the danger involved after they took a bite that caused stitches. I found another vet that was willing to treat her but they would have to knock her out and treat in the back of my car. Due to a health issue that arise with the my beloved puppy (Both front legs started turning outward - I noticed she walked funny as a puppy and the vet and I thought she was just being clumsy). They said major reconstructive surgery was required. At this point she was 87 pounds. The vet said due to her issues mentally and the amount of recovery and vet visits, she needed to be put down. I was devastated. To euthanize a dog that that young just about killed me. I would really consider this breeder and research them thoroughly before purchasing. That was my biggest mistake was reading their site reviews and not researching. Because when the issues started - I did further research and found over a dozen stories like mine about them ending in the same result were the dog had to be destroyed. I contacted some of the people and it was like hearing my story all over again. I was not sending her back to that place and took the loss because for a puppy to be that aggressive and unstable they have to be doing something wrong. I miss my girl but to be honest, the worlds a safer place without her in it. She is at least at peace even that I am heartbroken and miss her terribly. Also, be sure to get your paperwork up front if you do take the chance, I never received my papers after requesting them multiple times and I was just met with excuses. read more

Once I contacted them with the interest of Frankie, Not only did they make sure I am familiar with the breed if I felt I amable to handle him (actual concern for the pup) but she answered all my questions and was super friendly. Once I called back and decided I wanted "Frankie" PSD Kennels were so very responsive and moved quickly to get my new fur baby to me. Let me just say, these folks are amazing. We went to them desperately searching for help. Our son, Bandit, is a very hyper blue heeler that is 10 months old. We love him very much but were at our wits end with his destructive behavior. We took Bandit to them and the obedience course completely changed his life, and in turn, ours too! He went in an obnoxious, unruly teenager pup and came home an obedient, focused, well mannered young dog. Even now, they are happy to answer any questions we have and give advice. Looking to add another member to our family, we decided on a Belgian Malinois. After an exhaustive search of the local area (within 200 miles), we found lots of "pet quality" dogs, but little in the way of working class pups; so we turned to the internet. Over time, we narrowed our options and settled on PSD Kennels after speaking with Cindi on the phone. After letting PSD know the temperament of dog we were looking for (personal protection, but also family friendly) she recommended a young female they had. She was only 6 weeks old and PSD would not ship her before she was 8 weeks, but we were happy to wait. The purchase was painless using Pay Pal and our new puppy arrived two weeks later, in great condition after a long 7 hour flight from Mississippi to California. The travel crate included a small bag of Blue Buffalo, a rope chew, collar, and all of the paperwork including microchip, shot and de-worming records. At her Vet check, she passed with flying colors and the Vet even commented how she was "the perfect specimen" of what a Mal should be. Six weeks later and she is happy, healthy, well socialized, extremely smart and is the most beautiful dog who loves to train hard and loves to play hard too. Nothing is quite perfect and there was one small glitch with her AKC, which was quickly resolved by PSD and some might say their prices are a little higher than the others. You can spend less (and you can spend more), but you get what you pay for and there is no question we got our moneys worth and a first class puppy from PSD. read more

About a month ago, my family adopted a puppy from PSD Kennels. We were told that she was socialized with humans, cats and other dogs. They said she was not aggressive and that she would make a great family dog. Upon arrival, she tried to attack our cats as well as our extremely friendly, laid back older yellow lab. Within the past month things HAVE NOT gotten any better. She has been evaluated by multiple dog trainers who all have suggested that she may have been abused by adults or other dogs before we got her. She loves people, but has made no progress with other animals so far. She is terrified of her own shadow and shows very, very aggressive behavior toward ANY dogs. Her trainer suggested we try to bring her to his puppy class because she is in desperate need of socialization. She lunged at every other puppy and the trainer said she is much worse than he thought and highly suggests private training with him until further notice. PSD has not been helpful and when we called and were concerned they said to simply give her some time to adjust and suggested that we be more firm with how we were training her. In addition to this, we were charged an extremely hefty training fee for her to be trained and she is NOT trained. She is out of control and doesn't listen to anything. We are now having her re-trained so paying for her training in the first place was an absolute waste. Would not recommend this breeder!!! read more
