We paid $68 for two salads and an order of fries, which felt overpriced for the quality and portions. What really stood out, however, was the customer service. I visited with my mother and my toddler son. Since my son wasn't going to eat fried food, I bought him a fruit smoothie from a neighboring business. While we were already in line paying for our order, the owner or manager approached us and informed us that outside food and drinks were not allowed because the restaurant is kosher. Although he said he would make an exception this one time, he approached us again while we were waiting outside for our food. We had chosen to sit outside because the restaurant was crowded, loud, and stuffy inside. Despite us not causing any issues, he again insisted that the smoothie could not be on the premises and began explaining that his license could be suspended due to association rules. We politely told him it wasn't a problem and decided to take our food to go. I understand businesses have policies, but the way the situation was handled felt unnecessarily confrontational, especially considering the drink was for a toddler and we had already spent nearly $70 at the restaurant. I looked online what i wanted to order for me and my family and when we got to the restaurant, we saw that ALL the prices are not the same as their website, and the difference is big. Everything was more expensive. For example: Schnitzel is $17.95 on the website and $24.95 in the restaurant. Has i know that before i wouldn't go, but i was the with my daughter so i bought it. When i asked why is that, they just told me to ask the owner (who wasn't there). I'm SO sad. R.I.P. the Psy Street I knew and loved. It had been a little while since my friend and I had ordered from Psy Street. I ordered it for us as a special treat the other day. It sure didn't end up being that! What a disappointment. I had had it one time in the interim, didn't love it, but just chalked it up to a bad day. Nope! The food was so different, in a bad way, from what we'd had in the past, that she felt the restaurant had to have changed hands. I called them - she was right! The menu is still the same, but things seemed to be done in a different (cheaper?) way. The Roasted Cauliflower used to have a sauce that was a beautiful blend of tahini and smoky red pepper. Now, it seems like they threw some tahini on the cauliflower and called it a day. Maybe there was some paprika tossed on top of panko, but the sauce is just pasty white, no red whatsoever. It was OK, but nothing close to what it was. Same with the Baked Potato. Just blah. They appear to have done the same kind of hatchet job on the garlic confit. The sauce the garlic was in used to be soooo good. It was so yummy that both of us would buy it by the jar. We got sides of it, and it now appears to be just garlic in oil. It's no wonder they don't sell their sauces by the jar anymore - I sure wouldn't want them! Lol Their seasoned fries used to be AMAZING. Now they're just meh. I think maybe they use fewer spices in the seasoning now. Are we noticing a pattern here? And now, from meh to worse (the "only meh", not horrible was why the rating was two rather than just one star) The Crunchy Shroom used to be my friend's absolute favorite thing we ever got going out to lunch anywhere. It was now just heavy and super oily. I tried a bite and didn't want any more. She ate more and had a badly upset stomach. My lunch was the worst offender. The Miso Salmon Burger used to be great. Don't know what happened, but I opened the box, and the fishy smell was overpowering. I tried a tiny bite. It was AWFUL. It went directly into the trash. The mushroom followed. After lunch, my stomach didn't feel so great either, though not as bad as my friend. I'm glad I stopped myself from the latter two items. One bite of the mushroom and an almost bite of the fish was enough for me to be done with those! Needless to say, that was my/ our last visit with our once beloved restaurant. There are several food businesses there. The restaurant was bright and very clean, including the one bathroom for all. The menu is on a board above the cashier area. The woman who took our order at the counter was very nice and helpful. I ordered something I had never had before so I can't compare it to anything but WOW!!! WOW!!! WOW!!! It was a a baked potato with truffle aioli and garlic confit. It was a small potato (I wish it was a lot bigger), cut in half. There was the truffle aioli with lots of garlic confit. It had a few sliced scallions on top and it was topped off with a terrific tasting sauce. I had thought that the price ($10.95) was high when I ordered it but not after the first taste. It is probably the best thing I have ever eaten in a restaurant. It was so good I ordered a second one to go so my husband could also taste it. My son ordered the chopped salad.
