By far the best part of the experience was the large butterfly arena with different butterflies from around the world. They give you this flower connected to a nectar vile and the butterflies basically come to you. In addition you get a laminated sheet which tells you what butterflies are in there so you can identify them. There are so many butterflies you almost forget about the pretty hummingbirds around. There is a cool mirror maze, 3D movie and slide to keep your kids occupied. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. You can tell they care about their job. Prices paid for admissions which was a little pricier than expected: Child- $11.00 per ticket Adult - $32.00 per ticket Senior- $29.00 per ticket However, it's one of those prices you pay that you feel goes to a good cause to help the butterflies and other animals there. Overall, it's worth the visit if you are into that sort of thing or want to try something different than mini golf :). Just getting photo ops with my children and the butterflies is a mom and dad's dream if you can imagine lol. A great time and experience!

The Butterfly Palace is an absolute must if you are visiting the area. We paid high price for so many attractions and this one was by far a favorite. The flight of the monarch's 3D movie was such a quick and educational film and the small reptile area had wonderful staff. Thank you to Evan that was the most patient and kind employee that we encountered while there. She answered all of my toddler's questions without feeling dismissed or in a hurry to move on. The butterfly room was beautiful. Educational for both adults and children with identification cards, binoculars, and magnifying glasses. I could have stayed there much longer than we did waiting for butterflies to land and admiring their beauty. It was truly a fantastic experience for all ages. Staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. My only thing I would say is how crowded it gets. I felt like at one point it was shoulder to shoulder. I'm not sure they have limits on the amount of people in the room at one time or a way that they move people through. Either way 5/5 or 10/10!

There's drinks and snacks for purchase but you'll have to deal with the challenging situation of wrangling kids and no cup holders. They have boosters for kids which is good because the gradient of seats is very gradual. I'm an adult and couldn't see a thing over the person in front of me, I missed several parts of the show, so it didn't feel worth the purchase. We watched the pet show. We spent around $200 for a family of six. Couldn't leverage the family pass with mom as a third adult. The first 25 minutes was inviting the audience to tell jokes and going over show rules. I could do without the host's political, gender diversity, pet death and mental health and cognitive jokes in a show meant for kids but I'm not a Midwest native so this might be area normal? It was cringy. I would have picked a different show if I knew ahead with two neuro diverse children. When the pet handler, Valari, conducted the cat and dog show it was very entertaining and he did a good job. The first part lasted eight minutes and later a three minute costume and country themed pet segment, interspersed with the host. Then intermission. I will say thank you for merchandising on stage. I have been to shows where staff walk around and literally put toys in your kids face before you agreed to purchase them creating a frustrating situation. So thanks for not doing that! There was a parrot fly by with beautiful macaws for 1.5 minutes and a husky dog segment for 3.5 minutes. There was a pretty funny parody song of Home with lyrics about car trips and family life. There was fun final cat show for about 7 minutes. It's a good show for little kids albeit a bit long for them to sit. Wouldn't want less of the 25 minutes of pet show in an hour and a half time slot but there are other opportunities to cut back some time.

Tickets for this particular show were $10 for adults which was not bad. We sat towards the middle and on the right side. It meets the 3rd Monday of the month at 12 noon at First Christian Church on Joe Bald Rd in Kimberling city. They have many activities including an Open House December 6 12:30 to 3 pm. They are on a Studio Tour Oct 31 10 to 5. They sponsor field trips, workshops and interest programs and Meet and Greets. They sponsor a Children's Show and a Fall Festival.
