The manager Parvin is always pretty friendly and they keep all this building clean and secure. I am really happy that I choose this Public Storage location to storage my stuff. After a Two week stay in this lovely off the grid couples retreat allowed me and my partner to really connect and get back to the basics that we haven't been able to since the horrid events of 2020. We stayed in unit 246 there was ample room for our cots and bucket, and boy let me tell you about the never ending feast! There were rats a plenty and a feast for all that came and visited. The only thing that was missing was a stronger wifi connection so we could watch twitch.tv/theimpulsehour at full 1080p quality, but that does not deserve a star off. 5/5 would stay again. read more

Public Storage - unit 246 for life - Self Storage Near Me - Mountain View, California

I have been renting storage here for 20 years. The building is well-managed and the staff very helpful. Like, Above And Beyond helpful! The rent is exorbitant, and their online payment system pretty much sucks, because I have to have two separate accounts (one for each unit I rent). When I pay online by phone, their software recognizes that I have two accounts, and prompts me for which one. When I use a laptop, however, I ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS have to re-set my passwords! This is ridiculous! The mobile and desktop versions should both be transparent rather than the left hand having no idea what the right hand is doing! Since it "knows" I have two accounts with the same main email, it should simply let me switch accounts with one click. I love the storage site and units, but I hate the torture of dealing with their website to pay my bill. They need to hire a better software team. If their software team were as wonderful as their great on-site staff people, I'd give it 5 stars (and try to give it 6). read more

I rented a 9x10 unit for 4 months and I could not be happier. The staff of Umer and Jenny are super helpful and kind. They walked me through the process and helped me get a good deal. The place is also safe and clean. There is plenty of parking and also a couple of trolleys to help moving things into and out of storage. Today I moved my entire life into a 10 x 10 storage space. This was the first time I've ever used Public Storage or any storage company for that matter. Even before move in day, I was impressed by the friendly phone calls I received to confirm my move in date. I was running a bit behind my scheduled time so I received a phone call from the company- they were ensuring I was on my way and reminded me of the storage hours. I guess I had low expectations for my storage service (or maybe I was just grouchy because of all the moving I had to do), but they were definitely surpassed through genuinely friendly service. During move in day, I did have to complete a LOT of paperwork but I'm assuming it's industry standard. Regardless, I feel as if my things are left with a trusted business. Remember, 3 stars means "A-Ok." This is not a negative review in any form. First, let me start by saying that the property manager, Umer is terrific. He is kind, respectful, engaging and always seeking to deliver great service. He really knows how to deliver excellence customer service. I rented a 10x10 unit for about 3 years and it was a good experience overall. Facility was managed well, it was clean and safe. The only reason why I can't give 4 or 5 stars is because of the regular price hikes (by Public Storage corporate) to the point where I simply couldn't afford it. I came in at around $140/month or so and left at close to $300/month. That's over 100% increase in just 3 years. So, if you have the money, this Public Storage is a good spot and Umer rocks. However, it seems to be priced for the SV elite. read more

The property manager, Umer is absolutely terrific. He is kind, respectful, friendly, and always go extra miles to help, even when my units are at different locations. I have a unite in a nearby location which changed to auto service with no on-site manager on daily basis; I had issues and concerns from time to time, and Umer always go extra miles and help me resolve issues that I have. Recently, I had concerns with another of my units, and Umer helped me resolve that one too! I am very impressed with Umer's excellence customer service as well as being such a great person. I used this storage facility to keep corporate trade show equipment. The facility is well-maintained. After some research I determined that this was among the best-valued storage facilities in the area. (My unit was not environmentally controlled since I didn't need that.) Umer is very good to work with. My colleague ended up losing the lock key before we moved out. Umer was able to get his district manager on the phone. The D/M showed up and was able to remove the heavy-duty lock in a matter of seconds so we could move our stuff out. I recommend these guys. read more

What seemed like a great storage place for my belongings sadly turned into an absolute disaster here. Unit 246 on the balcony is infested with rats and who only knows where else they are on the property. They destroyed almost $2000 worth of my leather drum heads and musical instruments by eating and chewing on them. Not to mention the whole unit was covered in rat feces and urine. Everywhere and in any place they could get in. Absolutely disgusting, dangerous and disheartening. Umer the manager who helped me sweep out the rat crap twice and Matt at the head office are both nice and courteous people but frankly I think they are in complete denial about the rat situation here. Or they well know about it and won't say anything about the problem. Handing me rat poison packets kept in the office isn't going to take care of it not to mention that birds and owls end up dead when they eat poisoned rats. Insurance isn't helping either. $250 max coverage for vermin damage with $100 deductible isn't worth the time to fill out the paperwork and make the phone calls. I was moved to unit 236 for a week before I moved out which was all clear for the very brief time that I was in there but spending 5 hours in the cold on Christmas Eve moving my whole unit and cleaning and sweeping out rat crap wasn't a fun day. I have also requested a partial refund from Matt at the head office and I know the contract says they aren't responsible but this is ridiculous. What an utterly disappointing and disheartening experience. Beware peeps this place has a dirty secret. read more

I never thought I'd be writing a stellar review for a public storage... but here it is! The staff here is SO nice and friendly. When I opened my account, Menty was so kind and helpful, and during my rental I got to know the property manager who was very attentive and nice. The place is very clean and they have lots of dollys for you to use. The gate requires an entry code, an added level of security which I appreciate! My unit was very clean and it was very easy to open and close my account. I hate moving so I won't say I hope to be back... but it was a great and hassle-free experience for me during the moving process! read more

I picked this location since I live nearby. As others have said, the manager Umer is very friendly, knows me by name, and is very helpful and pleasant to talk to whenever I need anything. Additionally, Umer called me to inform me that I hadn't locked my unit correctly any anyone could get it. I was out of the state at the time and he placed some extra locks on my unit to secure it. This was GREATLY appreciated as I would be out of state for another week with no way to fix the issue. read more

Great Experience when moving into this Public Storage facility! The manager, Umer, is a great guy. Customer service was well beyond my expectations, compared to other storage facilities I looked into. Umer is very friendly, approachable with a touch of humor. Umer is very attentive when it comes to the security, cleanliness of the units, and always accommodating. I feel extremely comfortable having my items stored there. The large elevator and flat bed dollies available, make it so much more convenient for taking up heavy loads and/or multiple items at once.
