This Publix plays an essential role in the area. While the parking situation isn't great -- and it can definitely feel tight -- the location itself is absolutely needed. Without it, this part of the community would likely be a food desert, so its presence alone carries real value. The store is almost always busy, which speaks to how important it is for local residents. Despite the constant traffic, it's generally well run, stocked, and efficient given the volume of shoppers coming through. Employees do their best to keep things moving, and the store remains clean and organized under pressure. Parking aside, this Publix serves its purpose extremely well and provides consistent access to quality groceries for the surrounding community, which earns it five stars in my book. read more

I am submitting a formal complaint about an incident at Publix Store #0464 involving the store manager, Kevin Kidd, on my recent visit. I am a nonprofit leader purchasing turkeys to bless families in our community. I selected 4 turkeys. After the cashier rang up the 3rd turkey, the system indicated a limit of 2 per customer. The cashier attempted to get an override, but the store manager refused. I followed the policy and brought in my elderly mother so she could make her own purchase of 2 turkeys, and I then purchased 2 turkeys as a separate customer, exactly as the policy states. The cashier rang up my two turkeys, bagged them, and placed them in my cart. I swiped my card, entered my PIN, and the transaction processed. Immediately after, Manager Kevin Kidd approached the cashier, told her she "wasn't supposed to separate orders," then called me back into the store, removed the turkeys from my cart, and instructed the cashier to void my transaction after it had already gone through. This was humiliating, unprofessional, and completely unnecessary. The manager laughed during the interaction and showed extremely poor customer service. The policy clearly states "Limit 2 per customer." I was one customer buying two turkeys--nothing more. I followed the rules exactly. Yet I was embarrassed publicly and treated unfairly. To make matters worse, I was told the transaction was voided, but the charge remained pending on my card. This experience was unacceptable. I am requesting: * A full review of the video footage * An investigation into Manager Kevin Kidd's behavior * Clarification of the actual store policy * Compensation for the inconvenience and pending charge * A response outlining how Publix will address this incident I have always trusted Publix, but this was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Publix prices, Walmart customer service. Doesn't Publix justify their prices which having the best staff? Not here. Also this location lacks items that basically every other Publix I have ever stopped at stocks (namely items in the "international foods" isle) It's so frustrating that's is my closest location to my current home. Good thing there are 3 other grocers on the immediate surrounding blocks. After living in the area for a few years I now just skip this location all together if I need something from Publix specifically and go to the others in the area that are further away. read more

Very quiet Publix in the Mableton area. Offering a large lot with ample parking available in this relaxed plaza, popping in here to do a quick afternoon pickup was truly a breeze. As a native Floridian, Publix has always been my go-to grocery store as I always expect high-quality customer service and variety along with just knowing that I'm in for a great experience. This store seems a bit "sleepy", nowhere near as rushed as I'm used to at other locations, but it could just be based on when I visited. No complaints here! The shelves were well-stocked and beautifully displayed, also easy to navigate per usual. Even the seafood and sushi section was plentiful despite less than 20 people being in the store. I was just so surprised that I was able to conduct my shopping experience in such a relaxed environment just twirling down the aisles without bumping into others or scrambling to find items. Checking out was smooth and really capped off a good visit where shopping was a pleasure! read more

Long-time Publix fan, but this Mableton location consistently disappoints. Pharmacy regularly says prescriptions are ready, then makes you wait 30-45 minutes upon arrival. Deli staff don't know how to make signature subs and often require customers to explain ingredients. Today was the final straw - placed a cake order for my son's birthday with 12pm pickup, staff had no record of it when I called to confirm, and cake still wasn't ready when I arrived at 1:26pm. This location needs serious management intervention to meet Publix's usual standards. read more

Publix is a company that you can no longer trust to have quality food. I have been a customer for over 50 yrs. I have called multiple times and with different items all being sold out of date! With the prices they charge I expect them to hold themselves accountable for putting us all at risk of getting food poisoning!!! They're selling rancid meat in the meat department. Bought ground beef three days ago, went to make tacos and this is the most sour rancid smelling meat ever. The color was red and their meat is not cheap. I will not trust to purchase meat here any longer. Yuck! read more

I have been a Publix shopper since 2003, but 2025 I had a terrible experience at Publix where I purchased a bottle on clorox that apparently had a leak in it and myself nor the clerk noticed it. The bleach leaked all over the carpet of my car so I called Pubix store management to file a claim. Needless to say, Publix didn't have a problem replacing the $6.00 bleach but they refused to repair my carpet. Of all the years and money I have spent t Publix they would have been better off satisfying my dissatisfaction and unpleasant shopping experience by repairing my carpet for less than $600. Instead, they chose to ignore my many emails to the CEO and Risk Management. The Risk Management team was rude and Lucy Deleon basically told me they weren't repairing my carpet. Further upsetting the situation, versus being empathetic to my unpleasant shopping experience. Although I have since gotten a new car, I will never shop at Publix again. Publix does not live up to it's core values to ensure customer have a pleasant shopping experience. You don't treat loyal customers this way. They could have and should have made it right. I now enjoy shopping at Costco, Kroger Sprouts. read more

This is an average Publix. Close to home and seems clean to me. The only thing lacking is them not having self checkouts, not sure why though? I've seem the some of the same employees throughout the years, so this Publix must be a good place to work at. The parking is great however like most Publix supermarkets, they ONLY have two cart returns which I find ridiculous. Overall, decent store and lots of fresh produce. read more

The customer service at this store is wonderful. This is not the usual Publix that I shop at. But, I stopped in because I was making my monthly LIDL and ALDI run (which are both right up the street from this store) and I stopped at the Publix to pick up my meats (I do not buy meat at LIDL nor ALDI) and other items to round out my grocery shopping trip. While at Publix, ALL of the employees that I interacted with were so friendly. The cashier was very personable and nice. And, the cart collector in the parking lot came up to me at my vehicle to take my cart, and he was very friendly as well. It's 2022 and I know that many stores are experiencing staffing shortages and customer experience shortfalls. But this Publix is doing something really right, and I just want to say that I appreciate it! read more

I really don't shop at Publix often, but it is really really fresh and clean. They also have great customer service. I do love shopping here for some seafood and most of their subs. After going bike riding, my son and I decided to stop here to grab some lunch. As always the lines were pretty long but the service was quite fast. The associates were helpful and she took care of me right away! I ordered the Ultimate Sub, which came with ham, turkey and roast beef. I have even had them give me the completely wrong medication before. everyone deserves grace but this place is absolutely ridiculous. when you call and ask to speak to a manager they pass the blame and say that the pharmacy is it's own entity. I'm generally a fan of Publix Super Markets. They're bright, clean, and stock all the typical grocery items I need. This Publix in Mableton is located near other neighborhood grocery stores including a Kroger directly across the street. I've stopped by this Publix 2-3 times over the past year or so to pick up food and drinks for parties and cookouts at a friend's house nearby. In my experience, this store is never busy. It's also relatively smaller than other Publix stores I've been in I've picked up birthday cakes, pies, cookies, and jugs of Arnold Palmer "Tee" (1/2 tea, 1/2 lemonade drink). I was pleasantly surprised to see they stock different varieties of Arnold Palmer Tee: regular, low calorie, and zero calorie. You can also find some pretty good deals in the bakery, e.g. Dutch Apple Pie for $3.99, and the pie is pretty tasty. There aren't that many checkout lanes, about a half dozen, and only a few are open at any given time. Normally, this isn't a problem, but I have gotten backed up here once. Easy in-and-out from the parking lot. read more

This bitter, scornful and just upset with life young lady Nyima at the deli is the LAST person on earth you'd want taking you PAYING food order. Even though this is the closest Publix to me, I avoid going here unless I get lazy. I prefer to go to the one on South Cobb Dr or even the one on Vinings. I guess I'm too fancy pants for this Publix. I mean, it's a Publix, so it has all the Publix features. It looks clean, the people are helpful, and they have plenty of parking. But it's also one of the smaller Publix I've been too, and they don't seem to have many stuff compared to the other Publixes. I do understand why they don't carry much stuff. It makes sense. I don't think the people shopping here would care about San Marzano tomatoes or sushi. Speaking of sushi, this is one Publix where I couldn't find fast-food sushi. Sure, Publix's sushi doesn't compare to Hayakwa's. But when I'm in a hurry, they do the job, and it's cheap. For a while, this Publix didn't carry sushi. Now they finally carry it. Then again, I don't know if I would consider this Publix's sushi, "sushi," even by Publix sushi standards. But like I said, the people here don't look like sushi aficionados to care. I think it's fine for basic grocery shopping needs. It's not cheap as the Aldi's across the street of course, but at least they sell wine. But if you want a more selection, I would just drive a bit farther to the other Publixes in the area. read more

Always great customer service and the ladies in the meat department are very wonderful and kind. I was in there this past Father's Day looking for a beautiful cut of 3 steaks for a great price. Well I came across a pack of 5 steaks that looked amazing but I only needed 3. Well, it was as if my granny was whispering in my ear, (she's passed away) to ask one of these sweet ladies if she could make a pack of 3 out of the pack of 5. Thankfully and very kindly, this young lady went above and beyond with customer service and broke down the pack for me. I was able to get the steaks I wanted and my guys were very happy with the cut of steaks that evening. Thank you so much for helping and i will always be coming back to this location from now on. This publix is about 1mile from my house but I only go when I have last minute items to get as it is consistently under staffed. Most of the employees are very nice but I WILL NOT attempt the deli which is crazily ill managed. I think the manager has changed but I saw the old one hiding one Time when it was busy. Customer service lacking - you don't have a second chance to make a first impression. 2 days this week I've gone in for a few items got ready for check out only to fine that only two lanes were open and none where the express lanes. on the second day as I was walking out two manager where standing at the head of the store talking. Must have been talking about the final four because it was not about running a supermarket. As I left the store I told the two suits that the job they were doing was great keep up the good work and there would be no customers in store. I left and went next door to Kroger's. Deli department I have questions I wanted some ribs the price on the container was $6.40 something a lbs. To my surprise when I received the package the price was $9.99 times 3? I asked what was the difference? The explanation I revived was the 3 segments where called a half rack of ribs???? so weight is not used. I guess the folks in the deli department have never seen a half rack of ribs. just another way to get into your pocket That same afternoon I called the store and asked to speak to the manager about the items mention. I generally love Publix, especially their bakery. However, this Publix location has a very disappointing bakery. If you are going to preorder a cake, do yourself a favor and go to a different location. It will be worth the extra drive. The past several times I have used this service they have not completed my order correctly. One time they did not make the cake at all, and most recently gave me the wrong cake altogether. Since it was for a shower I did not have time for them to redo it, and am now left with a horribly thrown together cake. read more

I LOVE this Publix! The staff is awesome, from the managers to the people who take out my groceries. They go above and beyond to make my shopping experience the best. Recently, I was looking for a specific item that they didn't have. I'd thought I got it there so a manager checked, finding Publix did not carry it. She sent me home with the promise she'd find it and call me. Within 2 hours she called to tell me she'd found it and I could pick it up at the Customer Service desk any time. She had found it and driven to get it for me! This is just one example of the kind of customer service one can find at this store. The people who work here are loyal, kind, thoughtful and helpful. Between the employees, the BOGO's, the great sales, the quality of their meats, etc., I won't shop anywhere else! And NO I am not a relative of anyone there. Just a very happy customer. read more

I'm not gonna lie...In my opinion their is only one reason to go to Publix. You walk in everything is perfectly lit aisles are stocked and front and faced to perfection. Anything you want is easy to find, and on average their are about 3000 employees to every customer. Now we all know they specialize in customer service and have no doubt pegged this down. Undisputed. Their is a hidden gem though. When you first walk in skip the carts go through the next doors and veer immediately to the right. I never buy groceries at Publix due to price. sure they have some sales...whatever. the prize to the right is the deli. They do not make sandwiches here. They make Manwiches! Here's what you order. Foot long ultimate on wholegrain bread. Then put everything possible on it. I mean everything. Also don't be fooled by the Boars Head Nonsense since the meats and cheeses are already Boars Head. What they don't tell you is you can go pick out any cheese you like for your sandwich from the glass case... so take some time and let that soak in. Your choice of cheese doesn't even cost any additional money so for about 6.50$ you have the best Manwich known to man. Trust me it's amazing!!! read more
