There is a reason, well, several reasons that I can point directly at to explain the rise of Publix to the very definition of what a supermarket should and could be here in the southeastern United States. First, Publix has amazing customer service. You are continuously greeted by the employees as you walk through the supermarket. They also will address any question or concern you might have. Customer service is just one thing that sets Publix apart. Another thing is their weekly BOGO (buy one, get on free) deals. Every week they have a slew of great deals. We also cannot forget their subs, affectionately known as pub subs. These are great subs. One of my main go to subs their Italian. I also like their roast beef and cheese. My daughter, who is not a huge sandwich fan, even likes their chicken tenders subs. My son, who does like sandwiches, likes their Italian sub, as well. Kind of weird to realize that some of the best subs come from a supermarket, but Publix definitely delivers. Oh, another thing that I am a fan of is the Publix diet iced tea, available over by the deli section. The deli is also pretty impressive. You can get cakes and whatnot, but I really like their bread and they also have pizza dough do that you can make your own homemade pizza. All in all, Publix is a great supermarket and it is my go to supermarket. If you have been to Publix, I am sure you will understand. If you are not familiar with Publix supermarket, try them once and you will be a fan. Publix has come a long way since they began here in Florida. They have expanded throughout the southeast and continue to grow. As I said, I do recommend Publix, definitely the best supermarket around. read more

Great selection of higher-end products, a good beer fridge, and capable bakery and deli. The store is very modern and clean. The customer service was also good when I had to bring in a return of something that I even opened by accident! The prices reflected the above good points and were comparable to the cost of shopping at Whole Foods! As long as you were fine, at least one bag of groceries you were probably going to pay 100 bucks. Still, there are no good options nearby, so I still shopped here regularly. read more

The customer service is great, no issues there. But they are not great at checking the expired products on their shelves. There have been several times I have went to buy something and it past the expiration date. Many of those items were BOGOs for that week, how do you have expired products that are advertised on sale. Like many stores they don't get large amounts of sales products. I seem to have to get rain checks on a lot of things since they sale out pretty quickly. They are a good store and the best store in the area but like anything else there is room for improvement. read more

Love the organic selection. Pricey cut melons, but fruits are fresh. Publix Green Tea & Ulimate Wrap is my usual fare, and I usually enjoy tasting whatever their weekend chef prepares, especially when going for a BOGO! Publix is my favorite place, however, like most places in Palatka Fl I guess the service and common sense is only as good as the people in the area. For the second time this week, The deli is out of something they should not be out of.... The reason they are out of this particular item is because they wait until it's gone to start re-cooking and then tell the customer oh it'll be 20 minutes..... employees in the deli are too lazy to look and say oh this is going to run out maybe I need to start cooking some.... but I guess that would make too much sense it's easier to make me wait 20 minutes because you're lazy. read more

If I could give it a zero I would've. It's a shame the customer service being given coming in this place, 9/10 it's always have a bad experience. I ordered a cake two days ago over the phone from Orlando Florida. My expectations were to pick it up after my Nieces theater performance. I arrived 30 mins late. They were able to assist me in getting my cake even though I was late. The young lady wanted to know if the cake met my expectations. I told her it exceeded my expectations. I had to call a manager this Morning to let her know how this experience was defiantly amazing. Even after the phone call, I felt I needed to do something else. I decided to turn to google. Bakery is wonderful we got a Blue Explosion cake for our grandson's 6th birthday and OMG he loved it. The of the cake had sprinkles in it he thought that was the coolest thing. Actually we all did. Ashley in the deli was the absolute best.. not only did she please the people in front of us with outstanding service but she went out of her way to make sure me and my wife were satisfied. My wife was help by a gentleman but Ashley sensed my wife was missing something and she then fixed it. Publix is the best shopping experience in Palatka, but that's not saying much especially after visiting other towns and their grocery stores. My biggest issue is the deli is never staffed appropriately, it's always a long wait. My second issue is the lack of selection as compared to other towns. Listen up! I hope someone from this store actually reads this. I was traveling last weekend down to Tampa and stopped in for a pubsub, I visit publix in my home town of Jacksonville at least 3 times a week. Let me tell you one thing that your store has that many fail to have. You have a woman called Alexis in the deli dept and she made my whole trip. We were already running late for the Boston game and pressed for time. I think she could tell I NEEDED IN AND OUT FAST! but that didn't stop her customer service. Her personality is what keeps people coming back to your store! I would put money on it. She just glows and it made me smile seeing this. I wish my home town publix had her! Anyways! The radishes weren't priced and the employees went out of their way to find out how much $. Parking lot is clean. I saw one of the managers cleaning up in front of the store. This is truly the best store to grocery shop at! If you need help finding something they will physically walk you to what you're looking for! Then when you cash out they walk your cart to your car &help load all your groceries into it! Above &beyond customer service! I haven't even mentioned the fried chicken from the deli is the best in town! And their Boare's head lunch meats from the deli & the staff behind it as well! Their store motto is "Where shopping is a pleasure" really says it all! And they're prices are cheaper than the Winn Dixie down the road and it's more pleasant to shop here! Can't beat that! And when you want to order a cake for a special occasion I suggest the marble with strawberry filling & whipped frosting from the bakery! It's to die for! It is always a pleasant experience when shopping in publix. Upon walking in you can sense and smell the nice, clean, and delicious atmosphere. The prices are a bit high but they do offer better and cleaner products then the other grocery stores in town. They also put more care into making their deli items. read more
