The natural light finds its' way in every place that you need it to; the three chapel/citadel steeple-folds furnish us with it. Each study nook(separate from the actual reservable study rooms) all have windows on either side of the table. Internet use, now just as necessary as books in any given library, is easy to obtain. Many, many, many desktops can be found without a pilot. How nice, and rather unexpected, as it were. Next, of course, is the staff. I have yet to find myself being served by a staff member who wears the "I-don't-give-a-sh*t" face draped over their head. Not here. I am more often than not delighted by the staff without asking to be. Book selection is fine, more than fine, really. The monthly theme welcomes you at the door, and again at the mouth of the books in the rear of the building. This is oft-accompanied by "staff picks", which is so fun. You can't really learn much if you stick to your own tastes. No growth is done in this way; the staff picks will help in growing the tastes of the hungry reader who doesn't know where to go next, but does know that staying with what they know just won't do. I believe I've said enough.

This is one of the worst libraries in the nation. I've visited a couple of times, on a weekday and…read moreSaturday. The building isn't big: essentially one large room without structural/physical dividers. Thus, it's hard to escape the quagmire I'm about to describe. This location appears overstaffed, with employees sitting around, doing nothing but chatting about their personal lives. They (the only library I know) allow food/drinks inside, even readily supplied by onsite vending machines. A question: is the district that impoverished? Perhaps, get rid of some of those lounging employees to save your money! There's a security guard who's pointless. Why? Because the kids (mostly early teens) have control of the library. They appear in droves--more so on a weekday but still unavoidable on Saturday. They discuss non-age appropriate topics, leave trash everywhere, and act unruly to the max. But how can they not? The CHILDREN are being encouraged by lazy, useless library employees who say things like "oh, children, please don't do that" or "oh, please, you know the rules" but impose no direct consequences or punishment for misbehaving. They kids display no respect--and rudely talk back--because they see these GROWN ADULTS as their friends. Or like some feeble, ineffective clowns who are asking to be stepped on. Come to this library (especially on a weekday) and see the entertainment for yourself. Or wait until those kids grow up and watch them on the news.

Had an English instructor that told the class the first day that she did not want to be there, she wanted to be a poet but could not make a living at it. Half the class walked out that day. The other half that stayed, did the work, but she tried to give very low grades to all. I wrote a paper and she gave me an "F" on it, but what she didn't know was that a friend of mine had reviewed the paper before I turned it in and my friend had a master's degree in English. After I went to the head to the English department and complained, the grade was changed to an "A". I have been told by many English instructors that my writing is very high quality and that I should be writing fiction books.

No reason was given, but I suspect it was because of several negative reviews left for some of the alleged instructors; my math and English instructors had no idea what they were doing -- my English instructor relied on AI to grade one of my papers and I got dinged for plagiarism because a student in Africa cited the same dictionary reference I did! I pointed out that problem and was ignored. My math instructor failed me on a couple of geometry questions and when I pointed out that he was wrong using outside sources to support my point, I got ignored then, too. To this day, they still have offsets against my state income tax returns and will not explain what the offset is for, the amount remaining, or any other details. Stay away from PCC. They're not to be trusted.
