Chicken & Shrimp Fajita
Paige G.

First time here as I'm never in the area, but thought you can't go wrong with Mexican for a girls dinner! We got there & seated instantly. Service was great, everyone was very friendly! The restaurant had a maze type layout & the section we were sat, was a little small but very cute & clean! To start a ordered a blended raspberry margarita ($7). It came out pink & foamy.? Tasted more like a Julius smoothie with tequila. Wasn't bad, light flavor, just not the blended margs I've gotten before. Typically have a crushed ice blend... They bring you 2 types of salsa, which I've never had, so that was cool! We ordered queso ($4) & it came in a ceramic condiment container, I've also never seen a queso so small I ordered the Chicken & Shrimp Fajita ($14) pictured.. It looks amazing & I was so excited! Although, once stirred around, the meat in the photo is about all I got. All underneath was all grilled onions, no peppers The meat flavor was lacking & the Shrimp was soo dry. I'm not sure it makes a top 10 favorite of mine, but it was still a fun night.

We stopped in on a Friday night about 6 and we had a respectable 20 min wait for how full the parking lot was. They had lots of very busy staff doing everything they could to serve as many as they could. Very nice and clean place and staff was very good. My personal meal wasnt my favorite but I can not say it reflects the restaurant. I will be back to try another because of the quality of the rest of the visit was so good it deserves another chance.

Greeted right when you come in and very attentive. The staff is concern with your needs and ask for any problems at the end. The food came really fast. The overall quality of the food is okay. I got the chicken quesadilla and the chicken pieces were a bit big. The salsa was not puree thoroughly and the chips were overcooked. Overall good experience.

I went here because Des Moines food lovers were raving about it, but I was left super disappointed. Don't get me wrong, service was great and restaurant was clean but the food was just bland and margarita tasted like straight mix even with getting the Cadillac version. The best thing was the salsa picosa, that had good roasted flavor. Meat on taco was chewy but meat on burrito was decent. No spice, no flavor, but guess this is what Iowans like. Another Mexican restaurant disappointment

Good restaurant! Kind of sketchy part of town, but the restaurant itself is great & well kept, the food was great. We got pollo loco, seafood chimichanga, and chicken & steak fajitas. Everything tasted great, Chips and salsa were good, and food came out quick and correct. I also had a raspberry margarita which was very tasty but not strong at all!

This place never disappoints. Always consistent in delivering good, fast food and service. Price is cheap and food is super fast. My husband lives the green tomatillo enchiladas. I like all the fajitas and chicken mole. Today I had the shrimp diablo it was my new favorite. Not too spicy but tons of flavor and healthy.

Great, family owned, friendly. Plus delicious food that is consistent. I've been coming for years and wouldn't go anywhere else.

Meh at best. Enchilada, tamale, rice, and beans were mediocre. Food was served quickly, but no follow up for refills or such.

The ceviche had a very nice spicy heat to it and some other nice flavors to go along with it. The chips and salsa came out warm with four different types of salsa. All the salsas had a nice taste. I did however end up mixing the salsas together. . I also tried the smokey old fashioned and the pineapple margarita. Both drinks had great flavor and the old fashioned even had a bite. Nice job.

I honestly don't know how this place is in business with their incredibly affordable Happy Hour. We nearly got one of everything because it was in the $5-7 range for each dish. Even their normal prices are fantastic for meals. We definitely enjoyed the chicken wings and I loved the black squid ink tortillas that were part of the chimichangas. We loved basically everything we ordered and it was so nice that the entire menu was naturally gluten-free as a celiac. I live in Vegas and have talked about flying back to Iowa specifically so that we can eat here again, that's how much we liked it. Service was fast and polite, the ambiance felt moody and cool.
