This place has always been our go to place in Lincoln City when we want Mexican food. It has a fun Mexican interior. The service was as good as always, but I wasn't as impressed with the food this time. I ordered a Vallarta Taco Salad without the fried flour bowl. The food was plentiful, but lacked pizzaz. However the house made guacamole was delicious! My husband had the Enchilada and Taco Combination Platter. He said it was good. I didn't see sodas on the menu, but we ordered them and were charged $4.50 each for them. read more

Service started fast, chips, water, etc. lots of combos on the menu (dozens). I go a super burrito, it came hot, wrapped in foil, so everything is rolled up inside. It was hard to find any sour cream, even cheese, but lots of beans, rice and pork. But not shredded pork (waiter told us choices not listed on entres, only combos, like shredded pork, not beefSo). The pork was in small chunks instead. it didn't taste seasoned or spiced up, just plain and dry. Waiter brought some enchilada sauce and sour cream to put inside, but didn't help much. Decided to take it home and doctor it up. So this item is much different than other presentations or meat choices in other Mexican eateries we've been to. I just got a to-go order and when I showed up to pay for it, the price was MUCH higher than the prices quoted on their website and than I remembered from eating there many times before. When I first pointed that out to them, they said I must not have been on their website. But when I later confirmed that I was correct, they admitted that it is under new ownership. This is a nice little Mexican restaurant with lots of great options on their menu, and the food is top-notch. We started with some margaritas. They served us some complimentary chips and salsa and bean dip. The chips and bean dip combo was really great. We ordered the seafood burrito and chipotle shrimp. The chipotle shrimp was pretty good. Really loved the flavors. Portions were quite large, but that was my only meal for the day, so I didn't mind the large portion. Towards the end, they also gave us a small complimentary dessert, which was cute. Service was good, and staff was very friendly. We ordered a chile verde taco salad (giant chunks of pork) and a fajita burrito (to go) and the food was beautifully packaged and so good! They even include chips and salsa. You can order online, everyone there is really nice and the prices are reasonable. It's a cute little place with plenty of parking. Will be my go-to restaurant in the future. read more

Absolutely bright, vibrant, gorgeous restaurant! It's cozy and staffed lightly, but the service was exceptional! This was recommended by the hotel we stayed in across the street. They serve refried beans and salsa to start...and kept the delicious chips flowing. We enjoyed our meals and appreciated the low level of spice for our sensitive child and tummy's. Kids meal was probably plenty for me, but I ordered the combo of two flautas (one ground beef and one shredded). The shredded is cooked with tomatoes and green peppers (I love it, the kiddo didn't), but my favorite was the ground beef texture. The beans were creamy and the rice flavorful. No way I could finish these huge portions, but we did our best. The margaritas were moderate in strength, and very yummy! Restaurant and bathrooms were very clean. A great place to go when you're craving Mexican cuisine! The Ambiance: it was a good sized restaurant with wonderfully colorful decorations exhibiting Mexican culture. For those with sensory sensitivity like myself, it can get loud during the rush time so it may be wise to bring some headphones/ear plugs. It does have an echo in there so sounds do carry in there quite a lot. The restaurant also was very clean and well maintained. I did not use the bathroom so I cannot comment on its cleanliness, however I assume it's just as clean as the rest of the restaurant. If they do in fact have a bathroom, which they probably do. The Service: The service was very quick and friendly. The check on the customers often to make sure your needs are tended to. As for the speed of service, I got my food within maybe 10 minutes. I was shocked at how quick they got it out to us. I ordered a Burrito Fajitas with steak and a fried ice cream dessert. My other family members ordered the chimichanga and enchilada combo. They said they were satisfied with their dish. The burrito was delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection and so was the rice. It's a monster burrito so you won't be leaving hungry or without leftovers. I highly recommend this choice. However, my critique is that the fajita veggies inside the burrito were undercooked, almost raw. It didn't ruin the experience, but it is to be noted. It also could do better with more salt. Other than those critiques the dish was wonderfully made. My favorite part other than my main dish was the salsa, chips, and refried beans dip they give you complimentary with your food. The salsa was not too spicy and pleasantly zesty with the cilantro. It was addicting to eat if I'm honest. The beans were regular beans but they hit the same spot as the salsa. Now, the fried ice cream. This is the only dish I did not like. The only thing I enjoyed was the vanilla ice cream and whip cream part. I found the corn flake breading on the ice cream to be a strange chewy texture and it didn't cover all of the ice cream. The bowl tasted and felt stale, perhaps this is how it's supposed to be, but I didn't find it pleasant. It was aesthetically pleasing, but the taste and texture leaves much to be desired. This was my first time trying fried ice cream so perhaps my inexperience is showing. If so, disregard this criticism. Overall this restaurant is friendly for friends, family, and kids alike. So good! This place is always on our go-to list when in town. For starters, the complimentary chips, salsa, and bean dip are yummy. I typically order the refried bean and cheese tostada which is always excellent. Hubby likes the chile rellano. The fajitas are great. The burritos are huge. This has to be Lincoln City's best Mexican restaurant as we have yet to ever have had better. Authentic, fresh made salsa and refried beans with hot toasted tortilla chips was a perfect starter. Every thing we ordered ended up seasoned beautifully and was piping hot coming out the kitchen despite it being busy. Parking was easy, servers were attentive, and we had leftovers. We have been to this restaurant for many years. Once a year we eat at the restaurant and this year it was BAD. Guacamole prices were not published but when the bill came it was for a teacup of Guacamole for over FIVE DOLLARS!!! Prices did not reflect either the size or QUALITY of the meals of the past. OK to raise your prices but to cut the quality and size as well----NOT GOOD. The other problem was the only thing you got was a giant pile of lettuce and little else in the tacos. Even the soda pop was super expensive and in what could be described as a glass full of ice. Service was slow as they were working on a large group and forgot we were there.
