We usually have my mom or my husbands parents or siblings watch our pups when we go out for a weekend or so but in this particular instance were not able to get anyone so we used this in-home service from a recommendation from a neighbor. Everything was great. Total professionals here and very trust worthy. It's great to have a back up place for something like this. We do take our pups with us as much as we can but sometimes you go places they can't go and sometimes you can't get relatives to watch them, this is the next best thing. Wesley was so good at communicating with her, and teaching us how to better communicate with her. He helped us get past some frustrations that we were having on walks, helping us curb some of the unwanted walking behaviors we were seeing. He also helped us with getting her to chase the cat a little less vigorously. Afterward, he followed up to answer any lingering questions, and just to see if the training was helping. I have to once again thank Yelp for their service. I haven't been in Seattle very long and normally when I went on vacation I had a friend or family member take care of my dogs. Well, this vacation I had to find someone to take care of my dogs since I was going on vacation WITH my family and I haven't established friends in the Seattle area. My wife and I hired Puget Sound Puppers after 4 years of hiring several dog trainers to work with our very vocal Schnoodle. We hired "animal behavioralists," Bark Busters, went to training classes and nothing seemed to make an impact. Because of his barking and people and all dogs, it was impacting his quality of life - we were too nervous and embarrassed to take our dog out in public. I used PSP over the weekend for a Saturday afternoon walk, and Narayan emailed when he was starting the walk and he emailed a recap when he finished up. I take my pup to work, so I dont need regular PSP walks. With most dog walking services, you have to book regular walks, but with PSP, you can schedule random walks here and there as you need them. I'm so happy to find them and will use them as my go-to whenever I have to leave my baby at home for too long. read more

Can I give more stars? We were in a tough spot when our dog walker could no longer manage our pups. She recommended PSP given their history and ability to manager dogs that are a handful. I highly recommend Puget Sound Puppers! We have a schnauzer/poodle mix named Payton who has been getting walked and trained by Wesley from Puget Sound Puppers. Payton in general was pretty scared of other dogs. He then ended up getting attacked by another dog while at a dog park, which made his fear of other dogs become even more pronounced. Payton would show how scared he was by barking non-stop around any other dogs while on leash. Wesley worked with Payton during walks and now Payton is doing so much better. Payton now enjoys greeting other dogs while on walks and for the most part does not bark. More importantly, Payton seems to be way more calm on walks. If he does bark it is much more under control then it was a few months ago. Wesley was great about sharing how each walk went and what tools he was using to help with the barking. As mentioned I highly recommend Puget Sound Puppers. Not only are they good at what they do but you can easily see how much they care for the dogs that they walk, train and/or take care of. read more

This is a great company, and I can speak to both the training and dog walking services. My two pups were feral when I got them-so they have had plenty of training. We were continuing that training in our 5-month stay in Seattle where they felt/displayed more fear after our move. We needed dog walking for the days I went to work downtown. Jaime made sure we had two dog walkers the pups could be comfortable greeting and walking with...Chloe and Claire. Both wonderful. Received beautiful pictures, an email before and after each walk and details on how they did. It was the best dog walking experience I have had. They also practiced some of the training tips to keep it consistent. Wesley is extremely perceptive and talented as a trainer. We made a ton of progress getting them more comfortable around other dogs. He and Jaime also teamed up to use his dog as a helper. Before we moved from Seattle, they were no longer reacting to barking dogs while we were walking the hood. They were fine hanging around his dog. They (my girl is the issue really) weren't lunging towards dogs walking nearby. So, in October of 2012, two 8 week old Australian Cattle Dogs moved in with my husband and I. I went with Puppers after reading reviews of other area walkers and comparing pricing. Needless to say, it was a quick decision. Wesley is super, both my one yr old Cockapoo and I think he's the best. I noticed an immediate improvement in her- aka more tired & less needy when I come home from my previous dogwalker. We've been using Puppers 5 days/wk for several months now. He is great with her and spends lots of time, plus I like the fact that she gets individualized attention, no gang walks. Wesley also takes the time to wipe her paws which I appreciate, since she's fluffy and walking in the rain most of the time. He is professional and conscientious and takes his job seriously which I appreciate, since I don't have to worry about her during the day. Likewise, he is also communicative (letting me know via email how the visit went) and responsive when things come up on the fly (such as I'm stuck at work and need another visit...) I've been using Wesley since he's moved to the Seattle area. My Blue Heeler, Maddie, was only 4-5 months old when he started walking her back in Oct '10 and he's been great with her and my dog is always excited to see him. I've been using his service M-F for the 30 minute walk service and after a week or 2 of using him he's put all of my anxiety aside (as this is my first dog and the idea of a stranger in my house alone), but I have nothing but good things to say about Puget Sound Puppers and Wesley. He's 110% reliable and attentive to my dog and always with a helpful tip to train my puppy as he's an apprenticing dog trainer himself. He's always quick to respond to emails and with updates pre and post walk. There have been a few times I've been stuck late at work or a last minute scheduling change and needed him to come back in the evening to let my dog out and he's always been able to accommodate.
