They have outrageous prices! charged me to pull me out & for the tow, then an unheard of "title…read moresearch" stole a spiderco knife & keychain out of my truck. What should have been $175 instead cost Like the lady before me I would give no stars if possible.

I had an accident taking my daughter to school and Madison, MS PD called S&E salvage to pick up my…read morecar. In the chaos of the accident, helping my daughter calm down, and rain, I didn't get everything out of the car. Madison PD said it would be no big deal, just drop by later that day and get my contents. Later that day (Friday), I called and asked to come remove the remainder of my contents. I was told it would be a $150 fee to access my car. When I said that I just wanted to get my things, I was told (literally) "Well if you want your stuff, pay the fee or hand over the title." I told her this was unacceptable and she said to feel free to call back Monday. Assuming I'd gotten a late night call service or disgruntled employee, I decided to just try again Monday. I showed up in person just to ensure I could have a face to face interaction. I explained that I needed to collect my things, and that I was willing to pay my towing bill, and discuss what they might pay for my totaled car. I was told my bill would now be $250 because of the daily storage fee over the weekend. Again I was reminded that "We could call it even if you just handed over the title." My totaled car wasn't worth $250 plus another towing fee to get it to a reputable place. I feel like my car was effectively stolen. Or at least, I was put in a position of having to sign the title over. Having a car accident is a terrible experience, these guys appear to have a business model of taking advantage of those in bad situations. Lesson learned, call a trusted tow service if you ever have a wreck. Don't let the vultures steal your car.
