The entire team of surgical assistants were very professional and the collection of Nurse Practioners for my follow up appointments are top-notch. LLMC is like having the Mayo Clinic in your back yard. If you need quality medical care, make sure to ask for a referral to this amazing facility. All the people he's ever failed are all over google reviews. The doctor at Cal State gave me an asthma treatment two days later and said she was incredibly close to sending me to the ER. I don't care that it was 12 years ago. I'll never forget that I came very close to not being here because he rendered zero treatment. I am very thankful a doctor realized I actually couldn't breathe right and helped me. I was in the ER last month and had a really great PA. She listened, asked questions and figured out that it was viral gastroenteritis after ruling out flu and covid. She made sure I wasn't dehydrated. Gastroenteritis isn't necessarily an emergency, but I never had a case that bad before and didn't know what was happening. she gave me some Zofran and a medication for stomach cramping. The gastroenteritis lasted a long time for me, so I followed up with primary and they did a lot of tests to rule out other stuff. The bathrooms need to be cleaner, especially the ones in the lobby. Also, there is a wide gap in the doors and that is not okay.

Doctor and staff appear poorly trained in working with autistic children. The two…read morereceptionists/medical assistants were unfriendly and didn't acknowledge me for nearly 10 minutes until I said hello first. From the start, I made it clear that my child is autistic and that a typical exam approach would likely be difficult for him, but my concerns were ignored. As expected, my 4-year-old became increasingly distressed during the exam. At one point, they asked me to physically restrain him so they could continue, which I refused. I wasn't going to put my child through that. Throughout the situation, neither staff member made any effort to comfort him--no smiles, no reassurance, nothing. They came across as cold and inconvenienced, which is concerning in a pediatric setting. After I stopped the exam, it felt like they were trying to salvage the visit for billing purposes. The doctor briefly came in to listen to his heart with a stethoscope. To distract my son, he was given two stuffed toy tigers. My child finds comfort in having matching toys, so this worked temporarily--but then the toys were taken back, which caused further distress. Replacing them with lollipops didn't help the situation. Two concerns here: first, if those same toys are being reused between patients, that raises hygiene issues--especially in a pediatric office. Second, giving an autistic child something for comfort and then taking it away is counterproductive and upsetting. The doctor and another staff member in scrubs were friendly, but the two front staff members were not welcoming or accommodating at all. A pediatric office should be warm, patient, and understanding--especially when working with children who have special needs. This office would benefit greatly from additional training in handling autistic patients and improving overall bedside manner with children.

There always seemed to be some other hoop we had to go through to make an appointment. When we finally were able to get one I was never told of a location, I only went off of the address on the referral card I was given. We showed up for our 2:15 appointment at 1:15 pm just to be safe. When we got to the building the door was locked but we were just thinking of hey we're out at lunch. So we called about 4 times until someone answered at 2pm to let us know we were at the wrong location and it was actually somewhere about 45 minutes away from us. I told the girl on the phone that we were never given a different location and that we would be on our way but would obviously be late now. She said to try and get there by 2:45 and I said we were trying but it would take about 45 minutes and again.. it wasn't our fault. We show up at 2:50 and they have us sit and tell us they'll call us back. When they call us she simply says she can't see our baby today. After we just rushed over there with a long drive and a frustrated baby. When I explained the situation over and over she said because of the extra 5 MINUTES that she won't take him now. My husband tried to calmly explain that they never told us a location to go to so obviously we went to the only location given to us and that we were on time just in the wrong spot and again.. that wasn't our fault. And if it wasn't a possibility to be seen she should've just told us that so we didn't waste our time driving all the way from rancho to San Bernardino. She would not budge and continuously said we were late. No empathy and no thought for our 5 month old baby who just needs to be seen. Doctors should have more regard for who works for them especially with kids.. those women represent that place and those women should be no where near children with how cold and rude they are. Now unfortunately care for my 5 month old is delayed til can find someone else to give him a thorough cardiology check since these people lack empathy, basic medical care, and human decency.
