They refused my valid AAA insurance, inventing a rule about cars being "older than five years" (not written anywhere in the contract), and forced me to buy their insurance. Then they pushed a toll package we didn't need. I paid the only toll in cash, explained it at return, and was still charged over $160 in tolls and "fines." This place operates on confusion, pressure, and after-the-fact charges. I travel often and rent cars everywhere--avoid this location.

After the initial surprise, turn around, get on the Yelp app and look for a gas station with easy access. Puma Isla Verde was easy to get to from the airport, but not quite as easy on the return. Gas was $0.87 per liter. After filling the tank, we were back at the car rental return in 15 minutes. Nice clean gas station...and note to self...next time, fill up the tank after leaving the beach.
