The staff are incredibly welcoming and really go out of their way to make her birthday feel special. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers and creating a great atmosphere. The food is always delicious, and everyone in our group enjoyed their meals. Even our picky eater was happy with their plate, which says a lot! I stumbled upon this place, searching through yelp. I'm glad we found a new spot to give a try ! Very cute ambiance and service was good . So basically they have a very large hot bar that you can select different meats and rice along with the sides. They make you a plate or pack it to go. Everything we had was full of flavor . I had the arroz and Pernil along with small dish of oxtails and lechon . My husband got the chicken and rice . Even though everything was super tasty the only down fall was my food wasn't hot , not sure if they turned down the temp down on the hot table my food was more lukewarm then hot which was slightly disappointing. I hate to write a bad review but this food is not good. The guandules and habichuela guisadas were water down. The rest of the food tasted like a put a ton of chicken bullion. Awful! I grew up eating Dominican food but this tasted like a lazy way of cooking with artificial ingredients. People in the island cook with real ingredients that could be found here in the US. Choosing your meal is similar to picking out a way better version of school lunch. The meats are slow cooked until tender in bold flavored sauces that are great for topping the rice. They range from goat to pork to chicken. I had the yellow rice topped with shredded pork and some sauce from the goat curry and a side salad. The pork was flavorful though some pieces were dry. I also got a piece of crispy skin that was a delight to eat. The side salad was great for cutting the rest of the heavy meal, but it was a bit too salty and savory for my liking. Stopped by for a typical Dominican breakfast (mangu) last weekend and it was delicious. It was a bit pricier than any other place I've been to for the same dish but it was really tasty nonetheless. I also tried their morir soñando and empanadas and those were ok. They also didn't sell quipe which was a bit disappointing but it's alright. I'd probably come back for their mangu and tres golpes again. Located in a little strip mall so parking was not an issue. I'd recommend. read more

This place is sooo spot on if you are looking for some really good 'home cooked' Spanish comfort food! It's so good! I came across this place as one of my co-owners recommended it for their empanadas but oh boy we left with so much more! We discovered a true little gem in this mini strip mall with parking in the front. As soon as you go in, you see what food they have available and you can pick and choose what you like. They have various meats, rices and sides available. The first time I went, I got the Arroz Con Gandules (Rice with Pigeon Peas), Pollo Guisado (Stew Chicken) with Yuca and Potato Salad on the side. My co-worker got the Oxtail with the same rice and opted for the Macaroni Salad. Both were so ridiculously good! The sauce of the chicken had good authentic spanish flavor and you could tell the rice was freshly made. They also throw in a few Maduros (Sweet Plantains) with each order. The second time I went with two of my coworkers and we all got the same thing! We got the Arroz Con Gandules with Pernil (Roasted Pork Shoulder) and Green Salad. The Pernil was tender and moist, perfectly cooked. And let me say their portions are HUGE!! Definitely good to eat twice and I think the price was $12 or so. If I could give less than one star I would. This restaurant does extremely poor business and I will never order from here again. My mother ordered a red snapper meal today and the fish was not cleaned properly, all of the organs, blood vessels and bowels/guts were still in the fish. Imagine a fried fish with THE GUTS still inside! I placed this order on GrubHub during the COVID-19 pandemic, otherwise I would have attempted to get my refund back in person. I have patron this restaurant 3 different times and I always get the same meal Baked chicken, white rice and salad each time I have paid a different price for the same meal. I work up the street at the hospital so I normally would stop before work which is before 3pm. My first time coming here I paid a little over $10 for my meal, second time I paid $15 this last time I paid $12. Seems like all the ladies just make up their own prices.
