Dropping her off at the previous groomers, she'd have those sad puppy-dog eyes and a somewhat panicked behavior as I was leaving her. Not like leaving a child at kindergarten, but more like she knew she was gonna get hurt. When I'd pick her up she acted like she was making a jailbreak. She probably would have drug me out of the place if she could. That is not a joke - she would have. Last time after being home awhile, I discovered dried blood in the fur of her ears. She'd been more and more fearful with every grooming drop-off and suddenly I had evidence of why. That was what prompted me to look for another spot and the good reviews convinced me to give Groomingtails a try and we are very pleased with their treatment of our pup and their work. Here's something amazing I have to add: I don't know why but ever since her grooming, when it is rainy and I bring the pup in and I give her a quick dry with a bath towel SHE SMELLS FRESH WITH THE SCENT SHE HAD FROM LAST GROOMING! I am floored. She is about to have her next grooming and that still works weeks after her last grooming. THAT, is lasting results! And her teeth were pure-white when they were done! Now she wants to drink her coffee through a straw,... oh, wait, that's my wife that does that! Anyway, yeah, it cost more but she's treated gently and the job is done well and I don't feel like I am handing her over to be tortured! I just hope their prices don't go up anytime soon! Their mobile service always arrives on time and is incredibly convenient. I avoid taking my drooly bulldog anywhere in my car if I can help it. Having my groomer come to me is SO helpful. Danielle takes Venmo, which is also super convenient! My girls always come out looking and smelling great, with a cute bandana, plus they always get the cutest little goodie bag AND I get a super adorable photo of them up against a different, seasonal backdrop each and every time. I cannot stress enough how much of a dog whisperer Danielle is! If you have a dog that hates being bathed or is scare of strangers, they will be instantly at ease with Danielle. One of my dogs is the biggest scaredy cat and she is completely calm with Danielle and (shockingly to me) does not need to be restrained while having her nails trimmed. I discovered it myself after Paying and getting in the car. The groomer had covered the wound with a large amount of styptic powder and household super glue, making it impossible to see how severe the injury really was. I was led to believe it was a minor cut. It has now been almost a month, and enough of the powder has finally come off that I can see the true extent of the damage. My dog's ear was cut completely through, leaving it split with several holes. This was not a small nick--it was a serious injury that will likely leave him permanently disfigured. When I went back to speak with the owner/groomer, I was taken into an area that was filthy. Seeing the condition of the facility only made me more concerned about the level of care animals receive there. I trusted this business with my dog, and instead he suffered a serious injury that was not disclosed to me before I left. The way this was handled has been incredibly upsetting. I would never bring another pet here and would strongly encourage others to choose a groomer that prioritizes honesty, cleanliness, and the safety of the animals in their care.

I like the staff here and how this place is managed. I have two Moyen (mid-size) Poodles (sisters)…read morethat I have boarded here. Everyone has been friendly and reasonable and it is obvious that they love dogs. My dogs love it here too; as soon as I get near the building they get excited and the vocal one can't stop barking when she gets out of the truck to go inside, lol. The facilities are great for socializing, heat control, and boarding. I can board them both in a single "cottage" for a discounted rate, although I must warn you that it is not cheap. However it seems to be competitive for the quality; you get what you pay for. Their time policy is very reasonable as well. You can drop them off BEFORE 2:00 PM for boarding that night at no extra charge and they will arrange for Sunday pickup. They require a "meet and greet" introduction to see how your dog does in a social setting; a free 4-hour boarding. They also require strict immunizations and spaying/neutering with proof but they cannot control owners who bring in dogs who may be sick so there is a risk in that regard. But the facilities are all artificial so any bodily fluids/waste, and potential infectious agents may be treated, unlike facilities with earthen ground. If for instance giardia, a common but troublesome parasite gets into the earth it is very difficult to remove which is a huge issue in kennels. I am trying them out for grooming but they are short-handed right now and I am still working with the groomer to get the look I want.
