About a dozen kinds of gelato. They also serve homemade waffles and pretty good coffee. The service was great. The man that helped us served us straight away and was kind and courteous. We sat at a table to have our gelato and coffee. He had passionfruit and strawberry. I had raspberry. The passionfruit was awesome. Raspberry next, strawberry last place of the 3. The server even brought us over a waffle to try, on the house. Delicious. For an icecream/gelato shop that opened in winter, they seem to be doing pretty well. They've got our business. I just hope they get enough sales in this cooler weather so that they last into the summer. Worth a visit!

Bellingen don't do all the theatrics or trendy flavors that you get in other stores and that make them such social media hits, but if you want the real thing, this is it.

I plumped for a white chocolate and hazelnut scoop in a cone (though you can also get them in a cup) and was quickly transported to 7th heaven. It just hit the spot and provides something ideal for those out shopping in need of a pick-me-up. For those who can't get enough, the gelato is available to buy in 1/2 litre tubs too. What's more, there's also a chocolate fountain. You can have it the chocolate drizzled on strawberries, bananas, in a cup or on a Belgian waffle. These guys know shoppers all too well... Located at the entrance of Westfield, Gelatissimo offers a tantalising variety of gelato, sundae's, rich chocolates, coffee and biscotti. For those who have special dietary requirements, Gelatissimo also offer a range of gluten and dairy free products. I don't usually bother with the coffee and biscotti, so I can't say much for the quality of these items, but after sampling about half the flavours on offer, I can safely say that Gelatissimo's gelato is delicious. From your traditional Chocolate and Lemon, to the more sophisticated Caramalised Fig and Honey Toffee Malt (my favourite), Gelatissimo's vast range of flavours will please even the most fussy eater. Customer service is average and disinterested, but when you're scooping ice cream all day, I guess there isn't too much to get excited about. My only other complaint is Gelatissimo's prices, which are pretty steep. Three scoops of gelato will cost you about the same as a meal from a fast food joint, if not more, depending on what size you choose. Gelatissimo has great gelato at premium prices. So the next time you need to cool down, check it out and grab a cone (or tub).

The gelato was creamy and light, so it delivered the flavor but not too heavy that sat in stomach. We ordered the award winning flavor - Mandorla Affogato (a twist of Affogato) which has bits of caramelized almond within the creamy vanilla background. I didn't get a strong espresso flavor as it would have, but the ratio of almond bits and gelato was just right - occasionally crunchiness hidden within the creaminess of gelato. The second flavor we ordered was the poached strawberry with balsamic vinegar. The acidity from balsamic vinegar and strawberry was muted yet complimented the gelato base. It was not too sweet, yet there's a hint of the balsamic vinegar and strawberry. We were too busy getting into the gelato before taking a picture, but check out this place if you are nearby. We got lucky because after we waited to order, there was a huge line behind us. They have a variety of ice cream flavors plus other items on their menu like cakes and teas. The staff was very patient with us as my sister wanted to order a milkshake which is different in the States compared to Australia. My sister wanted to make sure that what she expected in a milkshake would be understood and reciprocated to the staff. Even though they don't normally make a milkshake like the States do, they did their best. I enjoyed my ice cream and it was perfect to end the night.

This is really great gelato, and there's clearly a lot of passion behind this place, with murals adorning the outside walls, whilst the interior is classy and suits the bizzo.
