Heading into Cryo to burn up to 600 calories.
w m.

Love the new PURFIT... great staff, great equipment and fantastic Vibe!! Recoverme is amazing. Cryo, Red Light Therapy, Infrared Sauna and Compression. Everything you need for your after work workout wellness.

Ana P.

The red light therapy is so relaxing and I just can't get enough. Fills my cup a bit when it seems like nothing else will. Mood boost, relaxation, and healing. Love it.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Brenda Olson the general manager is rude and obnoxious. Talking over me and completely uncompromising.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I tried to call to cancel my membership since I moved out of the area and they said they couldn't cancel over the phone and tried to charge me $100 to cancel after the year term was over. What a scam. Beware of this gym! Go somewhere else! [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have an automated service that incessantly calls my phone to pay for a membership I no longer want.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I refuse to pay $100 and fill out their stupid form. Hard working people don't have time for this nonsense. An email and a call should suffice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Your business is not customer centric and deserves to fail. Be fair with people. Don't try every scandalous trick in the book to steal people's money.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I've posted several images of these EXACT SITUATIONS with multiple customers. This is called "social proof" for you PURFIT business owners. You might want to pay attention and be intellectually honest with yourself. Read a book on how businesses scale because this ain't it. It comes from the top down. The owner is scandalous and so Brenda Olson the general manager is also scandalous. Zero integrity. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They respond with legalese in these reviews instead of empathy and customer centric policies that would grow their business.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They don't understand how much revenue they're losing by people seeing these reviews. They have no way of measuring it but I'm sure it's substantial. Thank goodness for the internet and peer reviewed platforms that hold businesses accountable. What a bunch of short sighted and strategy deficient imbeciles. Fix your cancelation policies and think about doing a cost/benefit analysis on what you're earning from raping people's time and bank accounts vs the market share potential from NOT having reviews like this visible to the public and potential customers. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Check around and try to find a gym that makes it this difficult to cancel a membership. It doesn't exist.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The only contracts that have validity in the context of wanting to scale a gym are the reasonable expectations that customers have. You have a responsibility to the community of Palm Desert to enact policies that are altruistic and fair, not stringent and bureaucratic - meaning overly concerned with procedure at the expense of efficiency or common sense. Do better and market forces will reward you.

Best decision I've made for my health! If you're looking for a new gym- this is your sign. Equipment and gym is always clean & the staff is super friendly and willing to help at any time. Gym environment is also friendly and my favorite part is their new squat racks and hip thrust machine! So glad I found this gym and they even cryotherapy, an infrared sauna, red light therapy and compression therapy !

Big SCAM business. I agree with Brandon, down below. I am having similar issues. Unauthorized transactions from bank, etc.

She even took the time to communicate with me while vacationing out the country and personally connected me with her staff. They helped me customize an experience specifically for my group, answered all my questions, and were very accommodating. They also allowed me to bring my own food and champagne for my celebration which was a plus!! When we arrived we were met outside by Kristen and Jessica. They were so nice and welcoming ! We were a little late as we were traveling and they were more than patient before starting. My group did yoga and a sound bath. All around 10/10 experience ! After that we were able to eat a light lunch and pop some champagne. The bride loved everything from the music selection to the environment itself. Kristen was an amazing teacher and Jessica was such a great studio host helping us set up and even walking around to top off our champagne. I highly recommend this studio for any sort of wellness celebration!

I spoke to Jacqueline who was VERY helpful, knowledgeable and kind. The studio is beautiful offering one room that is heated, wired for sound and has soft floors. There are two restrooms, cubbies for storage of personal items during class, and a fantastic selection of top quality merchandise that includes Manduka gear and Spiritual Gangster clothing! I purchased the introductory 3-classes for $26 to be used in the span of one week. I downloaded the YogaSix app... booked my classes... attended and LOVED it! The first class I attended was a Slow Flow and the second was a Restorative Flow... both had great instructors, beautiful music, and left me feeling centered and grounded. I split my time between Long Beach and Palm Desert and have been practicing Yoga in Long Beach for almost 10 years now. Until recently, there wasn't a studio in the desert that offered the beautiful and clean spaces that are commonplace in most beach communities. YogaSix is a beautiful, new, and modern space and definitely the answer to my yoga prayers. It was lovely to practice amongst a group that included people of all ages... young and young at heart. I've always felt that Yoga is for everyone of all shapes, sizes, and ages... and that's exactly who this YogaSix crowd is. If you've every wanted to give yoga a try... please allow yourself the opportunity to experience it. You don't need fancy clothes or gear... just show up with an open mind and heart and be prepared to receive. Namaste.

Corinne P in particular is excellent, always offering variations and helpful corrections. Classes can be waitlisted, so plan ahead. The front desk staff are helpful, and the place is kept very clean and organized. They don't have the delightful distribution of cooling towels and wipes during savasana that Oregon studios do; it's more DIY.

Found out about this new studio through the yoga grapevine (or should I say rope wall?) and headed out to the Coachella Valley to check it out. My husband and I felt instantly calm as we walked into the warm and spacious practice room, taking note of all the nice, new props, the full-length rope wall, and the cushy floors (cork, not hardwood!). Not knowing what to expect from a class titled ''Exploration of the Rope Wall,' led by two up-and-coming Iyengar instructors--Holly Hughins and Mary DeVore--we were taught ten or so variations of the traditional poses, using the wall and ropes to get even deeper into the postures. This was a free public class, but looking at the price list it looks like the drop-in and monthly rates are totally reasonable, especially for instruction from respected Iyengar and Ashtanga practitioners. There's plenty of parking in the shopping center behind Hwy 111 and they have a nice little patio in the back. Next time we trek east for some R&R we're totally making a pit stop here for our yoga fix. Can't wait till they get their website up and running and post some more workshops!

I was working out today wondering why on earth I have never written on Yelp about one of my all…read moretime favorite places. I have been working out here at The Pilates Path Studio for almost 7 years. When I first started Pilates in Los Angeles 9 years ago, I had the opportunity to work with several instructors in four studios. I found a few instructors who served no better purpose than to tell me what to do and count off the repetitions for me. I found another who injured me each time I worked out with her. Then about a year before I left L.A., I found my wonderful instructor and hated to leave her. I was very concerned about finding someone here in the Coachella Valley who was just as talented. I wanted to find someone who gave me a workout that would challenge me without injuring me. I had no luck with the first instructor I tried in Cathedral City, so driving by the Pilates Path Studio, I called them and spoke with Shary. I told her what I was looking for in an instructor. All it took was a couple of lessons before I realized that I struck gold. I find it incredible that as I grow older, I grow more well defined muscles. Different muscles that weren't there even two years ago have popped up. My abs are so strong, it's amazing to me. I was on a flight recently waiting for the restroom and the flight attendant asked me if I did Pilates. "Was it my posture?", I asked. She said she could "just tell". I am now working out with Josie because Shary has retired and only works a few months per year. Josie is just as talented as Shary. She gets me to think about so many things as I do the movements, that if I arrive uptight, all is forgotten within 10 minutes. I walk out of there taller, stronger, more flexible and content. I am writing this to help the snowbirds and transplants who love their Pilates instructors. You can have faith that the instructors don't go through the motions with you here. They work hard in their coaching, and you will reap the benefits. Any locals who want to give Pilates a try, start here. I live in uptown Palm Springs and pass by a lot of studios to come here because in my opinion, these people completely understand what it takes to help you reach your fitness goals through Pilates.
