What a scam. Beware of this gym! Go somewhere else! [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have an automated service that incessantly calls my phone to pay for a membership I no longer want.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I refuse to pay $100 and fill out their stupid form. Hard working people don't have time for this nonsense. An email and a call should suffice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Your business is not customer centric and deserves to fail. Be fair with people. Don't try every scandalous trick in the book to steal people's money.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I've posted several images of these EXACT SITUATIONS with multiple customers. In town looking for a nice gym and glad I found this one. The customer service today (11/30/24) was exceptional. The free weights and machines were also excellent - bumper plates, clean, good variety. Sauna was dark and not hot enough, but it was good enough for my needs today. I plan on coming back next time I'm in town. read more

It was always fine-enough, but after changing over from World's to PurFit, there have been ongoing upgrades from reupholstering of the equipment, NEW equipment, and some additional therapeutic offers (that I haven't tried, yet, so I won't review). The place is cleaned regularly and often and bathrooms are in decent, clean conditions. The staff is always friendly and the members represent a good slice of the Palm Desert community. read more

We have been going to PURFIT for two years now. The gym is huge and filled with tons of great equipment. The staff is unbelievable. Two standouts are Omar and April. Omar is a great motivator and listener. His knowledge is extensive and he adapts his expertise to whatever is going on with his clients personally. His friendliness and welcoming demeanor make you happy that you decided to work out that day. He and April are the reason we sign up for FST and personal training. Great new brand! They have lots of new equipment and I was about to book and meet with the trainer Omar to go over equipment. With not knowing all of the equipment in the gym, we went over how to use the machine but also how to use it to reach my goals. Add on fee central! As I was signing up the gentleman says oh by the way you should also expect a $50 anual fee in August. I was like, but why? I will only have been at gym less than a year. I really like this gym; it's clean, it doesn't get crazy crowded at all (unlike EōS) and I like the variety of equipment. Since I joined back in March this gym has consistently opened late during the week, pulled up at 510a today and it was dark inside with members lined up waiting. My only other complaint is that I wish they opened earlier on weekends. If management can find a more reliable opener this place would be damn near perfect! read more
