I have fond memories from both: 1) Waking at the crack of dawn to walk through the quiet city-center to this boulangerie for a baguette, fresh out of the rotating brick oven. 2) Staying out until 5am partying at the nearby Café des Anges or Le Living Room, and wandering over for a quick hangover prevention pastry.

I finally decided to make the stop around lunch time on a Tuesday and waited a little less than 10 minutes (the line moves quickly). I ordered a pain au chocolate and the pretzel gratinee. Together they were both around 5 euros which is pretty reasonable. They warmed up the pretzel which was nice. Unfortunately there was nothing special about either things to me that would make me want to go back. They were good, but nothing that stood out to make it exceptional. I've had numerous pain au chocolats and this tasted like the rest. The pretzel was good and soft, which I liked but the cheese was only in the middle and not much on the outside. I've had better tasting pretzels for sure. It was a decent place, but not as hyped up as it was made out to be.

Ils sont particulièrement réputés pour leurs fonds de tarte qui peuvent s'acheter à l'unité ou en lot. Nous sommes arrivés un peu trop tard et la boutique venait de fermer. Qu'à cela ne tienne, il y avait un distributeur permettant tout de même d'acheter des kits complets à Flamms. Quelle belle idée! Bien contents d'être repartis avec un kit de 15 fonds de tarte, on avait roulé d'assez loin ;) C'était délicieux!
